The Walking Dead

Was so disappointed by that I forgot it existed

Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild.

I have no mouth and I must scream

Tortanic
I heard it's okaaaay now?

The Long Dark

>Just want an open world survival fantasy/sci-fi RPG with quests that isn't modded Skyrim/Fallout

WHY HAS NOBODY FUCKING MADE THIS? IT'S EASY BLOODY MONEY. IT'S THE ONE FUCKING OPEN WORLD MEME GAME I WOULD BUY REPEATEDLY.

Borderlands?

I meant a good game, and that doesn't have survival elements.

Fallout?

>that isn't modded Skyrim/Fallout
Nigger is English your first language?

Modded Stalker?
If you don't mind RNG and 2D give Neo Scavenger a go

Oh so Borderlands then, there you go. Glad we had this conversion.

...

Precursors

$7.49USD on Steam right now. I haven't really tried it yet though

Valnir might be up your alley. It's viking themed, but it's more like ren faire levels of history, so you're not going full autism like Mount and Blade with the Brytenwalda mod.
Speaking of, you should play Mount and Blade: Warband. it's open world, but not survival.

As for me, I'm looking for a good post apocalypse game as well. I was told Dying Light is good, but I'm not really digging the whole parkour thing. I never cared much for platformers growing up.

Also, I've played STALKER, Fallout, Metro and 7 days to die. 7 days desperately needs a better melee combat system. If it could just add a block and a quickstep like vermintide, it'd be pretty good.

So if someone knows of a good post apocalypse game with fun melee, I'd probably enjoy that.

Elex, Mad Max and Underrail off the top of my head.

I've heard good things about this one, and it's really cheap right now..but...

>Detroit - Take refuge from the wasteland in one of mankind's last bastions of safety. Buy supplies, get medical care and seek clues

Sick and tired of fantasy settings

Shin Megami Tensei DDS/Nocturne/IV

I played Neo Scavenger back in the day. It's really good for what it is.

Project zomboid

Does Elex have a fixed player character? Every PB game seems to star the same bald Moldovan man but that's just judging from the covers

Fragile Dreams for the Wii.
Any Resident Evil game after the first one, there's always a destroyed city or town or some shit.
Wasteland.
I have no mouth and I must scream

Yeah, it does. This is the first bald MC though, Nameless Hero in Gothic and the Risen guy had hair and facial hair. It makes sense in Elex because you're an ex-super soldier of sorts.

Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead

It seems interesting, I might jump for it since it's 4 bucks. But I will probably just end up playing Caves of Qud instead. It looks like there are a lot if similarities and frankly the CoQ setting wins out against post-apocalyptica

Which needs a shorter, more descriptive and less pretentious name. Age of Decadence is described as post-apocalyptic.

Okay, thanks. Not a dealbreaker, Gothic etc. were the same way.

Just pirate it if you don't think you'll like it

>Fragile Dreams
I forgot I emulated that, Time to play it.

If you enjoyed Gothic/Risen I would definitely suggest giving Elex a try. It's the usual PB-formula game.

At such a low, low price for such a great value, a hidden gem lovingly handcrafted by a Great Lakes-region artisan, how could I live with myself literally ripping the bread from his or her hands

I just got a new PC and I've been on a tear pirating stuff and then buying cheap Steam games to balance out my cosmic rap sheet.

Accessing your inventory takes an action, huh? That's fun.

Good on you

>Warband
>open world
Not in any reasonable definition of the term 'open world'

Dying Light.

Did anyone play this? I'm kinda interested.
