Why is it so hard for most people to accept that it's no one's else's fault but your own when you lose in a competitive video game. Accepting a loss and acknowledging what you did wrong is the first step to getting better

Sorry I can't carry five shitcans to victory, should have tried harder than I already was eh?
I know what you're doing
>you will never be a be beautiful shy white woman being bullied by a group of mean spirited bitches everyday until one of them confesses she secretly loves you and you two elope to get gay married in Massachusetts and live happily ever after
It's not fucking fair ;_;
If you wanted to win you should have it's not like you were some flawless player right?
Are they fighting or preparing to gang rape her?
What does your dick tell you?
They actually just finished a dance-off. The blonde girl in the center lost, and the girl in the striped shirt is about to use her penance stare to destroy her for the sin of having bad rhythm.
That seems rather specific.
Yeah, I'm so flawless that I single-handedly stomp the enemy team 1 v. 6.
...
ffs post the after picture OP
In team based games, it may be someone else's fault.
However, there is no point in blaming others.
If you truly want to improve yourself, you should think about what you could have done better.
In a 1v1 yes
When you go 5v5 and a fucker leaves because his mom told him so you're one man down and he's to blame
dammit my dick can't decide
>no shutterstock watermark
you had one job
Someone paid to get it removed
there is a lack of games where girls/women bully or fight each other
There is Senran Kagura.
>you will never be a girl
I like how the bullied girl is a different one in the each photo from that album
...
Everyone bis responsible in a team game, accept it, not saying you have to be as hard on yourself as you would be if u played shit but theres always a way you could have done better or helped build better team strategies/cohesion. You don't see footballers who scored in a game they lost shitting on everyone else.
Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never start a thread with an image more interesting than the topic"! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...
You can't win every time, but you have a better chance at winning than the enemy team does, assuming that you are better than average.
The enemy team has 6 chances of getting garbage players, your team only has 5. You are a constant.
>War Thunder tournament
>Play 20 games a day, over 4 days
>Can only use a few tanks; get randomly put with other people
>You can be the best person on your team, but if your team mates only have one tank (and thus one spawn) they end up costing you the game
>A single loss out of 20 will cost you the Top 200 spot needed for the tank
Yeah, sure, my fault. When I'm against a team that can spawn 9 times and my team can only spawn 5.
When you are doing the best on your team, have the most kills/points/etc, and everyone below you is doing worse, it really isnt your fault. Espeically so if you are doing best on the entire server (like if youre doing better than even the top guy on the opposite team, including everyone else).
Sometimes, yeah it is your fault in some cases, but in a lot of cases as well, it isnt your fault but someone elses. I cant even begin to count the amount of matches (across multile genres/games) Ive lost while being the best on the server/team but my teammates are just so fucking bad that they drag me into a loss.
Your fault is playing War Thunder in the first place.
What else should I play? World of Hitpoints? Deader Warfare?
Why do women get away with doing gay shit like this?
This is a nonargument. It just isnt. Those 5 players can easily be SO BAD that they will force a loss. There are players that are just that bad. It does not matter how good you are, your teammates being so much worse is the losing factor.
If the goal of the match is 50 kills, even if you got 40+ kills, the other team is still busy slaughtering the retards on your team that they reach 50 first, it isnt your fault. Some of the time there is just no way to "overpower" the badness of your teammates. A team of 6 average players are better than a team of 5 bad players and 1 good one.
>Those 5 players can easily be SO BAD that they will force a loss.
Yeah sure, but the same 5 people could just as easily be placed on the enemy team. As I said, you're not going to win the roulette every time, but the odds are stacked in your favor as long as you are better than average yourself.
because they're not neckbeards, duh
man oh man
do i miss doing that with my female friends...
female privilege
Which realitykings video is dis
I mean all these tank games are terrible, better quit and find something else.
Thats just not how it works though. Yeah, there maybe be that 1 above average player on the team, but its about pulling your own weight. If 5 players all put in 20% of the win recquirement on the other team, while on your team you put in 50% of the recquirement but your teammates dont put in the rest, youre fucked.
It is very appropriate to blame others when its clear they arent pulling their weight. Why blame yourself when you arent the problem? I blame myself whenI lose or do bad or whatever, but Im not gonna say "oh boy I shoulda done better" when I am already doing everything for the team but getting no help from anyone else.
More and more I find myself thinking "the only winning move is to not play", because I put in so much effort but the teammates do nothing and its all just a waste.
Right, so you just defaulted to the usual Sup Forums comment of 'it's shit lol'. Thanks. Should have just said that from the get go.
In 1v1 games, sure
It's fucking math retard. It's exactly how it works, objectively. If you roll 5 dies who have 3 sides with 1s for a good player and 0s for a bad player and you being the constant is a guaranteed 1, while you have to roll 6 of the same dies for the other team, you will find that your team has more 1s than the enemy team more often than not.
You are not in control of other people, but you are in control of yourself. If you play well, you are a 1 always, meaning the matchmaking needs less 1s on your side than the enemy side for your team to win.
>be me
>in coop game
>teammate dcs
>assuming equally skilled players always lose
>my fault
Do you even think mate?
If you mean 1v1s assuming perfect conditions on both side then sure.
>1v1 games
Loser.
Post the full set you faggot.
On topic, I think it's the inevitable result of participation trophies. You have a generation of young adults that fear losing, even if it's a single game. They grew up in a world where nobody loses, they never learned how to pick themselves up and get better.
In order to get good at a competitive game, or even games in general, you have to enjoy losing. It sounds counter-intuitive, and that's what most millennials don't get, they think only winning is fun. But losing can be the most fun. In fighting games I will repeatedly fight players who are way better than me, because I enjoy seeing the crazy combos and tech they're able to pull off, and it makes me get better as a result. Even single-player games give me an appreciation for how complex and well-designed a hard level is.
Sure, the massive rush you get when you finally beat a difficult level or opponent is great, but the practice up to that is fun as well. You begin to realize that there's so much more to this game than you thought, strategies you never would have considered if you were allowed to win the whole time. Losing is an integral part of understanding and enjoying any great game.
Millennials have a fear of losing that they can't get past, which is why so many games use kid gloves. The words "GAME OVER" are fucking terrifying to them. This is why they play on easy and push for no game overs or even no gameplay, it's not that they hate difficulty, they just hate the negative feedback of seeing a death animation, they've never been told "no, that's not good enough" before in their lives, it's always "great job try harder next time you're doing great honey".
because men are pigs
Statistically there is no happily ever after for dykes. Look up lesbian bed death and dyke domestic abuse rates.
Listen man, I know what youre saying. I get it. But it absolutely does not work in the real life. It isnt "just numbers". I said it earlier in the thread, the amount of games Ive lost even when Im the best player on the team (or the entire server) by a large margin is uncountable. I used to play Halo a lot, the amount of games where I put in MORE THAN 50% of the win recquirements and yet still lost JUST BECAUSE of bad teammates is just unbelievable. And it isnt just Halo, its many other games too.
There are plenty of times where yes, I could have done better, but there are many more times when there is just no way I could possibly be doing more to win but still lose just because of bad teammates.
If you want to win, don't play with randoms in heavily team-based games.
Playing solo just says 'I don't care if I win because it's meaningless anyway'.
The more you watch DSP videos the more it makes you wonder...is he wrong? Could it really be the game screwing up?
...
Yeah I agree it was definetly my own fault that the RNG decided to roll a 7
Honestly it should be illegal and persecuted by law to wrongly market a game as competitive when it contains even the slightest RNG elements
I'm mad at myself for my laziness and inability to improve at a decent speed because I don't practice nearly enough. I wish there was a pill I could take to be the best fighting game player of all time
What, you don't stick your face into your friends' dicks?
What are you, gay?
...
Why the fuck is five shirts necessary
topscore with 70+ points and still lose because all my teammates have more deaths than kills
TOTALLY MY FAULT
women are always cold
oink oink
>enjoy losing
Not at all you stupid cuck. Find 2 flaws in your game and improve those areas. You'll improve.
>fighting game nigger
Oh, ew. If you're a smashtard even worse.
Not the guy you're replying to
As someone who has played WT from 2012 to 2017 I can tell you that the game IS shit and you should simply stop playing it
Shit went down when they introduced >tanks
whoops wrong one
Is it wrong that I want the red head to hold me like that and dominate me?
No it just means you have good taste.
There are three kinds of people.
1. Those who are genuinely good and recognize when they are at fault, which just doesnt happen to be often.
2.Those who are shit, but realize they are shit and dont really take it too seriously because who cares about video games in the end.
3.Those who are shit, and probably always will remain shit, and refuse to accept they are shit because the whole reason they play games is to feel not shit. These people tend to seek out hacks and ways to artificially attain a feeling of success over other people, to make up for their complete lack of skill. They cry and whine and bitch and complain and attack other people and try to play the game for them, in really bad ways. Never take advice from one of these people, which is most people offering advice. Pic unrelated.
This one is the best
where's the one where they all embrace and make out? asking for a friend
>pic
How would that even be enforceable?
>put up seat
>pee
>put seat back down
>no one ever finds out
>When you go 5v5 and a fucker leaves because his mom told him so you're one man down and he's to blame
That's a cop out, it's a shitty thing that happens but if you still won with a man down youd brag about how great the rest of you were however if you lost youd just blame it on the one who left as if it were a foregone conculsion that you would lose.
white racist females will never act like this ever again.
feels so bad...
Yep. And people also fail to account for this huge fact: memetic thinking is largely shaping how people respond to engage heroes in games like OW. People im lower ELO especially often have very rigid expectations regarding team structure and style of play. While there are obvious benefits to many "meta" choices, austere adherence makes people instantly feel demoralized or angry at atypical selections which are actually capable of being very strong. Since it is a team-based game, it shouldn't be surprising some picks will require your team to change its playstyle. People are largely unwilling to do this, and it could be for any number of reasons.
One, the SR system is not the best it could be. It should account for more than it does. Right now it often selects for a narrow band of playstyles indirectly, and many DPS players become reckless in trying to be on fire as much as possible. It needs some more tweaking. I think with some adjustments it could still reward people that were great team players or really outshined the rest of their team (or the enemy team, especially), however slightly. That way you can still feel a climb and hopefully see an increase in teamwork. unfortunately this isn't too noticeable over short SR bands.
Two, since the SR system is so simple, people feel the urgent need to win - it's the only way to get anywhere. Indeed victories should be most rewarding of all, especially for players with the best stats (not just the medals - the unmedaled stats unique to each hero), but it should not be quite so rudimentary. People feeling pressured to win creates anxiety, tilt tendency, and unshaking faith in the current meta. The anxiety is a huge factor. It often is good, but if you go over the bell curve you see performance loss in a number of ways: poor tracking and aim, slower or non-existent decision-making (impulsive play), inappropriate aggression or passivity, etc.
did they fucked?
Im sure they wouldnt let that stop them, the challenge would be exciting to overcome.
what's wrong with peeing while sitting
This is so very hot.
What porn category does this come under
willy touch toilet
Its what women do. Its feminine. Its like making a man do anything else feminine. Why do you think the radical left and feminists are trying to force it? Also, would you prefer to sit on a public toilet seat or piss into a bowl. Tough choice, I think Ill avoid getting herpies or something.
>watching angle covering bomb
>teammate behind you somewhere watching the only other angle
>despite having just one job the enemy manages to pass the teammate without noticing and kill me, then kill the shit teammate as he sprays the wall in a panic
Totally my fault.
Why put up the seat? Can't you fucks aim?
>not having 360fov
Alan Shearer tends not to have a kick about with a bunch of random 12yr olds and Russians.
>no one's else's fault but your own when you lose in a competitive video game
bcos hax are so easy m8
shit's easy as fuck to cheat IRL, you think people aren't going to rig shit in virtual space?
top kek
then there's the fact that glitches happen more oft than not, which usually cock you over moreso than help you..
Should have known better than to trust your allies.
Sounds like a case of the game being shit.
Your fault for playing team-based games. Your fault for being addicted to victory in a team-based game rather than something that solo players can dominate in like TF2.
>tfw know people that refuse to learn from their losses
If you want to play a game seriously in ranked or in comp or whatever, you have to analyze your replays and see what you did wrong. It's very easy to think that you didn't do anything wrong or all the mistakes you did were minor in comparison, but they were still mistakes you made and you have to prevent them from happening. Shit adds up and leads to a loss. The key is to accept you'll lose but try and improve on it, your skill will grow if you actually try and learn.
On the flip side though, ranked games tends to be a autistic shitshow of a coin flip so don't take it too seriously if you lose MMR or whatever if you're not playing with a team you know. The only constant is you and a bunch of other fuckwit dipshits.
I honestly wish fighting games would get more traction on PC, I like fightan games but I don't want to buy a console and pay monthly just to play some matches online.
TF2 has DM? Or can I play soldier and channel my Q3 Arena days and carry my team to victory?
I know a guy that's always shitting on his teammates yet he himself is the most selfish player I've ever seen. The kinda guy that plays medic just to heal himself, never makes a play with a bomb or goes for a defuse when outnumbered.
Is the argument about splashes on the seat? Because I find men sitting to pee causes seat dribbles too. When you stand back up, the shaking causes dripping, and you're positioned right over the seat as you stand. It's easy to tell when the seat tinkle happened this way, because the drops will always be in about the same spot.
Whereas, if you're not drunk, haven't ejaculated recently, and are actually paying attention, it's easier to avoid drops on the seat by standup pissing.
In fact, I bet that type of seat sprinkle happens to women too.
I know someone that gets super tilted at a random that makes a honest mistake, like missing a projectile attack or whatever for a gank. But he won't ever owe up to his own mistakes when he fucks up. It pissed me off to the point where I don't play games with him anymore, I don't even understand that level of cognitive dissonance.
