When does my damage stop being shit? I explored all the way to the wasteland and got into the domed city. I accidently found a trader with a laser weapon I could barely use.

I thought LASERS would be better than fucking ARROWS but it's only 4 points of damage higher and my damage is still totally shit.

My only ability to progress is by cheesing the fuck out of everything using Caja which I can't get to reliably revive if she dies.

I like this game but not being able to explore fucking anything because everything one shots me and is unkillable is getting fucking old ten hours in.

Get stats for a decent melee weapon (35+ damage) and learn your combo timings. I was able to explore as much as I wanted and could kill even big boys (with some effort) 4 hours in.

Well it's a low level weapon, it's expected it iwll deal low damage. Laser has much faster fire rate than a bow though, specially with the 3-shot burst and full auto.

You could also buy the plasma rifle from the same trader- the damage is decent early on and you can upgrade it to deal far more damage once you have enou stats to use the upgraded version.

Do quests. Vast majority of quests doesn't require any combat, even when they send you to an area with high level enemies you can sneak/run/fly past them easily.

Yeah, peak players 22k, with probably only half the playerbase on steam, considering it's on consoles, origin and GoG. with pb HEAVILY catering to the GoG crowd, 20k is an incredibly modest estimate. 10k concurrent is also really quite good, that's at the absolute top of games on steam

Put attribute points towards using a decent melee weapon first. Use trainers to upgrade your damage and armour effectiveness. Keep going and you will become more and more powerful. I started as a scrum like everybody else but by level 10 i could hold my own in fights unless it was a massive high level enemy. It's satisfying once you get there.

I would very much enjoy an audio only collection of Herbert's radio speeches. Is it possible to extract them directly from the game files? It'd be better uninterfered by the game.

Full auto and 3 burst doesn't mean shit when your ammo get drained all the same and you can't even see the HP bar move. It's especially fucking retarded when nothing hits because the game didn't recognize your cursor on the enemy despite the shot going directly through the enemy.

Using a jetpack is great if you just want to see everything exists. It's totally garbage when you want to enter anything you see.

So I guess the moral of this story is I should stop bothering because you are going to be forcibly held back until you get massive stats, which btw take fucking forever to get because after 31, they each take 2 god damn points to raise 1 so good luck ever reaching the 50 and 70 points that you need for anything anywhere near decent.

Sometimes you find a top tier weapon in an abandoned shack guarded by two rats, sometimes you fight huge enemies wasting all your ammo and mana while barely surviving and get BOTW tiers of fucking nothing.

Are there other games that simulate zero to hero as well as PB games do? Underrail gave off a similar feel, but you never get super overpowered until very late in that and only with certain builds.

So apparently if a mountain troll throws a rock anywhere within five miles of you, you instantly die. I've been killed dodge rolling away from a boulder that never came within ten feet of me.

If you can't git gud enough to evade, just jetpack up once the rock is already in flight.

For me it went something like this:
Till level 10 got fucked by everything.
10 to 15 got a little better
15 to 25 could kill most enemies
25 onwards I became death incarnate

What diff? I started to wreck stuff around 11-15 lvl, by 20+ I was god on NORMAL and that was with default armor no faction

Went out to test my shiny new legate armor and energy regent sword and was pleasantly surprised. Felt like the whole world opened up.

And you still die in about 5 hits regardless of level.

You really don't have to do that. You can easily do enough early quests with the starting bow while pumping stats necessary to use better ranged weapons.

I played this game for like 2 hours, got to the first town and did some quests there but I'm still not feeling it.
What can I do to make it more fun?
Should I build my character to use guns to make it feel more like Fallout?
Also is there random encounters with NPCs outside the towns? How many companions is there?
