How much of a loot whore do I need to be in this game? Will I miss lots of cool shit if I don't go poking around in every corner? Because it's definitely my general tendency to do that, but is it necessary here?
How much of a loot whore do I need to be in this game...
There's almost none. Your character doesn't even wear armor and uses tattoos instead. Inventory management is absolutely primitive in PST. If you want to jerk over legendary items go for Baldurs Gate 2 instead
No no, I have no such need. In fact I'm kind of relieved. That means I can relax a bit and not worry about it. Besides, walking in this game is fucking slow. Thanks man.
>walking in this game is fucking slow
Wat? You know you can run, right?
Picrelated is literally the entire game, it takes about 20 seconds to run across any of these screens
The only loot worth hanging onto is the bronze sphere. Apart from that micromanaging your characters is pretty much unnecessary.
Any idea where I can get this pic in English? I could probably handle French, too, but not Polish.
Lots of walking in this game, no doubt about it. Looting sometimes gives you cool story items, but those are usually off of people or in noteworthy storage containers and not like barrels or shitty boxes. You pretty much buy all your gear, so selling rings and shit to people in the market is needed in my experience. But everyone drops that stuff and you won't need to go out of your way to get it.
Max Wisdom to 25 quick, buy tattoos from Fell, use Mort as a tank... Strap in for like nearly 30 hours of really well done and unique fantasy world building and story telling. PST is deserving of the praise.
Dunno man, I just googled "Planescape Torment map"
Are you playing the Enhanced Edition? I'd recommend it just cause it looks a bit nicer and is less likely to crash, soft-lock you or have your save broken. It also has a tab to highlight feature which makes missing things hard to do.
Yeah I got the enhanced. Got enhanced BG1 and BG2, as well, even though I hear those are basically AIDS. I just got in the mood for some D&D shit and they were all on sale on Steam.
What's wrong with the enhanced editions of BG 1 and 2?
They added a little bit of content that people don't like. They're good versions for convenience and playability tho. You can ignore the extra, new content and it's fine.
why is the sequel so hated?
i played it recently and despite some annoyances (like not being able to return to previous locations), i enjoyed it
it's not really a sequel. it's a game that uses the name of planescape but misses the point. its like mass effect andromeda
Not a sequel, it's just thematically related. It was really expensive when it came out, was kick-started, tried to associate itself with PST's legacy, made by the Wasteland 2 devs which nobody likes, some people tried to spin up some kind of SJW agenda and then to top it all off no one played it but they shitposted about it here anyway. Never had a chance. It's not a really deep RPG with some bad writing too. It's written like generic edgy fantasy trash and does not have the confidence or vision the writing in PST did. Just seemed dlike it was trying to do PST but couldn't pull it off.
>sequel
>Slow on the draw
>like not being able to return to previous locations
Planescape had that. Poor Nordom.
>Being a Sup Forums pass user and having shorter post cooldowns.
KEEP THE BRONZE SPHERE
KEEP ALL YOUR ORGANS
THAT SHOULD COVER IT BASED ON MY MEMORY
I recently tried to play Tides of Numenera and got bored exploring the first area of Sagus Cliffs. Should I go back and try to continue? It just wasn't grabbing me the way Planescape: Torment did. It kinda feels like a poor carbon copy.
Please keep all unicorn posting in lolg. We don't want your trash spilling out.
>sequel
was really just a way of identifying it without typing out the whole name
yeah, but sigil was most of the game and you kinda knew you were leaving for the end run once you were done there
in tides of numenera, i didn't finish half of the side quests in the first city thinking you would at least be able to come back out through that door to the bloom
Don't open it
But more seriously
Do not trust the skull
>KEEP ALL YOUR ORGANS
I gave all my organs to Morte and pretended I was building him a new body.
they added an NPC who does this:
"HEY, LISTEN! I'M A TRANNY! HELLO YES TRANNY HERE. YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT, I'M A TRANNY".
I'm fine if they want to add a tranny or whatever but at least make the dialogue subtle about it.
I posted it to get attention, and it worked you fuckin tool.

>not giving them to IGNUSSSS
Anything you put into Ignus' inventory should have immediately turned to ash.
>Ehh I wouldn't do that, Chief...
No you dipstick you give it to him so he can teach you fire magic.
You sacrifice parts of you for strong spells.
He never said they turned to ash, just that they SHOULD.
How did you play this game with such a low Int stat
A book like this requires reading comprehension.
Ohhh that would be cool. Kindling for his furnace!
Oh that does happen? I hardly interacted with Ignus' it seems.
Yeah if you give body parts to ignus after interacting with him, he'll teach you new stuff. Ties in with his backstory of how the nameless abused him and pain and yadda yadda. I think there's 3 pieces you can give him.
Any other tips for this, i'm torrenting it right now. Unless there's some big reason I should buy the enhanced edition.
You should play the Enhanced version, pirated or bought.
Never tell armor-man your identity
WIS and INT are most important stats. Play as a mage.
yeah that was my intent, sorry should have made that clearer
Single wizard>>>>entire party of fighters. get some wis + int.
Rush quest to become wizard and unbroken circle of zerthimon quest. Bee swarms can easily aoe kill everything in the early/mid game. Prismatic orbs have stupidly long stun, you can abuse it to farm demons that othewise would wreck you. Later go to undersigil, aggro some enemies and use cloudkill/bladestorm. Easiest 100k exp in your life. Repeat for as much easy levels as you want.
kek
You're autistic but that endearing level of autistic.
literally wrong advice given in every thread because everyone listens to it and makes the game harder for themselves thinking they're making it easier. fighter can auto attack everything to death without having to worry about spells or sleeping or even healing. as long as you have high wisdom you don't miss anything important.
There are actually more INT dialogue checks in the game then WIS checks. You're still right in that high WIS will let you see everything important though.
Wizard kill with single spell shit that would kill entire party of fighters. You already have Dakkon and Morte, it's not like you can't auto attack easy shit already. And wizard is better in Melee anyway because he has much better armor class and most of your fighter powers work even after changing class.
like 95% of the int checks can also be passed by a wisdom check, often with a lower requirement. for the ones that you can't you can just eat cranium rat charms. there's literally no reason not to dump stat int except for listening to Sup Forums's lies.
Mix of many things. Very strange setting, similar to Wolfe's Shadow of the Torturer. Lots of text, even more than in original. Very rare combat encounters. Aforementioned things were already enough to scare off normies.
More hardcore crowd were disappointed with broken kickstarter promises. Devs pissed off Codex when they cancelled some interview, hence very critical review.
New Torment is nowhere near original game, but totally does not deserve all the shit it got. Worth playing for Bloom and that psy- bar alone.
>You already have Dakkon and Morte
dakkon and morte are nothing compared to the nameless one due to their lower stats and how regen works. if you get their con over 20, which required items, they regen every round. the nameless one regens more and it happens every real time second, making him basically unkillable. getting to level 7 as a fighter also lets you skip exceptional strength giving you super high bonuses to hit and damage. you don't need spells, you don't need equipment, you can solo everything in the game even with the tired debuff. not playing as fighter is retarded because you're just making the worst part of the game require more effort to get through.
Wizard would be even more unkillable because he can use Magus shield. Fighter compared to him is made of glass. On top of that you still use hp of fighter, dagger proficiency and celestial fire. Fighty wizard > fighter.
