Yes. Its pay to gear up faster, as the cash shop offers nothing you cannot grind out in game other than cosmetics, and you can also sell drops to whales for the cash shop currency. Yes it is solo-friendly.

I tried but it’s the most unintuitive MMO like I’ve ever played. And the mission structure sucks ass unless you have someone who’s also new to play with. So far, my experience has been

No, he's retarded. You could have Ember building by the end of day 1. Ember Prime's vaulted (out of rotation) so you'd have to spend a bunch of time farming up other prime parts to sell for plat so you can buy her so it'll take a bit longer.

Here's the thing about warframe

There is no engame

The game you play is just "give me a reason to keep doing this combat/gameplay", like a musou game.

Paying to unlock something instantly rather then grinding for it is literally paying to skip the thing that you installed the game to do.

You can also, relatively easily, earn large amounts of the "premium currency" for free by grinding for drops and then trading them to other players for platinum.

The best thing to keep in mind when playing warframe is to take frequent breaks, play other games, and stop immediately if it becomes frustrating or boring, because there is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow, only more rainbow.

The longest thing to make in Warframe takes 7 days. Behind that, other frames are 4 days, most things are 24 hours. You can also pay to skip the grind to start that. Most things can be farmed up in a day with a few, dumb, examples (like the Hema). Newer frames are starting to become harder to grind for, but with enough backlash DE should back down, as they have in the past. Even then, "harder to grind for" in this context means "might take a few days, maybe a week if you're unlucky". Gara, the newest frame, has some really dumb drop rates for how fast you can clear Bounties. In DE's defense, Bounties are also new and the way they reward things as a whole honestly needs to be revised. I think that less of them being malicious (if it was in the rare slot, then yeah that'd be them being dicks) and more just bounties taking too long to only roll once on that shitty table.

You are retard. You do realize they are building while you not playing the game? I do not see how building time is a problem, i put things to build, go sleep, go to work, get back home and it's done.

You can pay for any skin in the game. You can also grind out any skin in the game without paying.

Or you can do the patricians way and sell drops to whales for premium currency and then just buy whatever you want without spending a cent.

Pretty much, I love that kind of shit but the thing that kind of ruins it for me personally (and the reason I'm currently playing the shit out of destiny) is that there is no real "loot". There's no point in the game where you pick up a gun, and it's a cool gun, and you shoot some things with it and have a good time. In warframe all there is is crafting material drops. You collect the crafting materials and after a time you build a new weapon which takes 12 or 24 hours.

The mod card drops which you use to enhance your weapons are almost like real loot, but still not really.

It's grind to grind so you can grind more while you grind.

Does this have a single player campaign? All I hear about is how grindy the multiplayer is.

Nah, Tennogen skins (user made, curated and added in by DE) can only be bought with real money. I assume they didn't want to deal with paying the creators cut from the money they make off of plat.

If something requires frequent breaks because you would rather do something else then maybe you shouldn't be doing that thing in the first place.

IMO Warframe really encourages you to play the game instead of making you pay because nearly every fucking thing you can buy is so expensive considering the amount of tiny amount of platinum you can buy with money without a 75% off coupon. People who actually pay money in this game just really like the game and want to support the dev really, especially those who buy the 7$ skins for a single warframe.

There are questlines, but some may be difficult solo.

The game can be played in single player online, but it's still the same game. The grind is the game. You're not grinding to get to the real game like in other games, the real game IS the grind. It only works because Warframe's control and game loop makes it arguably the best PvE shooter on the market.

Rationalize your lost time as much as you want, but if I want progression in a game, I'm not taking a whole day to get it. Otherwise, I could just do something productive in real life.

Most of the quests force you to solo though.

The building time is there so you don't rush through every weapon and get bored quickly. There are other things you can do in the game after building a single gun surely.

It has had one for at least 2 years now, it expands a few times a year too.

Waste your time how? It just delays when you get the item. The amount of time YOU, the player, spend building the item is just a matter of hitting "build" and then hitting "collect" when you're done. If anything, rushing wastes more time by having to deal with an extra dialogue box or two.

You can still play the game and build more things while something is building.

Are you sure you're talking about Warframe? The neverending grind refers to just making and leveling EVERYTHING. Quests, story, missions, maps are not locked behind a grind. You complete missions to unlock more missions. Quests pop up as you progress through the missions and star chart. If you want to make any given frame or weapon, with a few exceptions, you can get everything for it in a really short time. In fact, if you've completed the star chart chances are you already have all of the items needed to make most things, save for some Argon or Nitain.

Get the twitch prime free shit and "main" that for now, they're good weapons and frames and you won't need to "potato" them, which is what the community calls it when you use a consumable item to double the mod capacity of gear, because the consumables kind of look like gold/silver potatoes

That's why you build ten things at once so you're always rotating through new items.

There are entire genres built around grinding, Warframe is one of the few games under that definition with really fun gameplay. And it's not even that bad. 80% of stuff doesn't require going particularly out of your way, and maxing out about 1/3rd of the total gear gets you to a high enough rank that you can use anything you want.

In terms of progression you're always moving forward, usually at a good pace. The way you word it you'd think it takes months to get off Earth, when an hour or two in you're probably 4 planets deep. The grind in warframe is nothing compared to any given MMO on the market....

Why would you ever have multiple mastery fodder of the same equip slot in a not-maxxed state? Did you get one Primary to 18 and somehow decide that leveling a different Primary to 12 first would be a better idea?

How big is the game now? When I stopped it was like 15GB or so and they started shitting out 2GB patches of literally nothing

This, don't believe what shills are saying. The game is smooth and fun at first, but you'll realize real fast its all just grinding forever. Missions are all boring once you have experienced the types of missions at least once.
