To be fair fall damage depends on the level design. Remember that ether mine in Xenoblade 1? Would easily skipped if it didn't have fall damage whereas in XCX the design and priorities were different. Doesnt really bother desu

Emulates pretty well on PC, plus you can mod in the movement speed to be quicker

I don't think theres more battle lines than the first game, just the lines themselves aren't delivered great and so they're grating on people a lot quicker. Also there'll most likely be more party members so at least we won't be forced to hear SPIIIIIIIIIINING CUTAH the whole game.

I think my problem with it is that the original purpose of the battle dialogue has been lost now that you have 7 characters all spitting lines at the same time so there's no way you can strategize and make an effective combo on the back of that alone

Well it's a pretty big game with a focus on experimenting with randomised loot/blades, so I guess it DOES make sense that they'd have one guy play through 20 hours then just use that build for pressers. As I said in a previous thread, X got 3 weeks of play time from major outlets, so I think XB2 will get about the same, putting the gold version of the game, hopefully, in the hands of journos and Youtuber's for the end of next week, minimum.

That sounds like it would get stale and predictable very fast.

There is UNDOUBTEDLY going to be a betrayal, but Pyra seems too obvious.

I really liked the writing, characters, world, visuals and music of Xenoblade Chronicles, but I never finished it because the combat was abysmal MMO shit.

I don't think Pyra will leave forever, but I do think she'll leave and end up coming back as a dark element if Metsu doesn't end up as the secret final party member
