Why doesn't Kirby get the same level of universal praise that Mario or Zelda get?

Because while Zelda and Mario innovate, Kirby stagnates
I just wish they had kept the Kirby 64 power of combining things in the rest of the series... They could innovate a lot in a lot of games with that being a core mechanic
Kirby is fluff. The series ranges from fun to REALLY fun, but it will never be a system seller.
i think its because kirby is just less iconic mario character than mario and zelda/link, so masses dont want to move their asses to find it.
Also not much spin offs.
Kirby games are never really bad though. Just about every other series under the sun has at least one bad entry but looking at the mainline Kirby games, they're all pretty good at the bare minimum. I'm sure some other franchises would kill to have that kind of track record.
Because Mario and Zelda are for children, Kirby is for toddlers.
I think part of it is because Kirby games are easier
Kirby is for senior citizens
Nintendo doesn't pay them enough for that
thhhiiiiiisssss
Kirby plays it safe. The only risky Kirby games were Yarn and Clay Kirby, but first one wasn't a Kirby game at developing start and second one was literally drawing lines. You can't really fail at that.
The new one coming 2018 has this.
Why should it?
Mario and Zelda are just more well known, plus Kirby innovates as much too.
What the fuck, really? Where did they show that? Damn, I used to love Kirby so much as a kid because of that (and I used to think that was in all Kirby games : (), a new one with that is one of the things I want most since the Wii
Really? Mario's world seems even more cheery and bubbly than Kirby, even its music.
Because he only sells merchandise and nothing more

The recent main Kirby games plays it safe, while the older ones does something different. That's not to say the newer ones are bad, they're still really well made.
...
kirby is second party and the audience is primarily girls
Basically this. Kirby 64 was the last main Kirby game that tried to change things up successfully. They still get stuck in the idea that "If you get hit you lose your power" and that is just annoying.
The best one is Air ride though. I wish Sakurai could make another Kirby game.
It does get massive praise though.
Mario and Zelda are beyond what regular games get, they're icons that are recognized even by people who despise games.
>They still get stuck in the idea that "If you get hit you lose your power"
And whats so wrong with this idea? The game is just telling you not to get hit as often or you'll might lose your powers. The modern games don't have it that bad like what Adventure/Squeak Squad use to do.
Because Kirby’s Dreamland 3 is where the series achieved perfect design and then they abandoned it in favor of Super Star’s shitty gameplay and aesthetics
The fucking Robobot Armour has gone up for preorder.

>Super Star's shitty gameplay and aesthetics
You wanna go at it fucboi? They're both good, but they could improve the currrent Kirby games by borrowing elements from Dreamland 3, like subquest and better movement.
The price is not that bad, thanks for the reminder user.
I think it only went up yesterday, because it surprised me on the front page.
Because Kirby games are boring as fuck
Kirby games are for the most part the same shit and they're insultingly easy
They're boring kiddie games. Literally the easiest of all Nintendo games, and that's saying something
THis. Every kirby game is walking to the right with no difficulty at all.
Most people aren't into vore
