R2R2, SFIV, Fire Pro, Dynamite Deka, Metal Slug 3, Punch-Out!! Wii
I played the first Lunar game recently but was pretty burned out afterwards and didn't get far in the sequel. In what ways is it better that the first?
i never understood what these threads are about
...
It's pretty much a toss up between the two, but I slightly prefer the main cast and overall tone of Eternal Blue over Silver Star.
I think it's favorite games but with 9 choices you can be broad with different genres and shit. The 3x3 format looks cool and the people that make these are probably in between livejournal personality quizzes
yeah, that part i get, i don't understand what are the fraction replies about
Thanks.
>being able to narrows down your favorite vidya to only 9 contenders
do you niggas even play video games?
You show off your favorite games in a 3x3 format and people reply showing off how many games & what games they've played from that list with them mentioning whether they enjoyed them or not. The point of the threads are to spark discussion on the games posted & to help people get into them.
got you, so something like this then?
...
Yeah, that's good but while this isn't necessary I say having the name on each game is a bit helpful. Also to spoonfeed you even more, the rating system goes like games you enjoyed/games you played so in this case for me 0/0 since I haven't played a single game on your thing.

I'm really conflicted on NV.

Do you have a recommendation on what Metal Slug games I should play beyond 3 or are they all good? I played one of them for a little bit (don't remember which one) & enjoyed it so I think I should get into them eventually.

Sell me on Okami, all I know is how great the art style is.
It's not about the game as a FO entry, it's more about my general relation with WRPGs. I find it very hard to get into them, and end up dropping them very early on. NV was different, I enjoyed the setting and quests, even if the gameplay was ass. It had a charm that I could see. But I still grew tired of it, and the gameplay was too bad for me to really like it as a whole.
On some days it becomes a full point though, it depends on my mood at the time I guess.
>Autistic wrasslin and fighting fetish
Wow, are you literally me?
You should look into some mods and gameplay overhauls because there's some good stuff out there that really elevates the game quite a bit.

>Sell me on Okami, all I know is how great the art style is.
It's got a huge story covering a lot of Japanese mythology, and it shows it in a charming interesting way, both in it's tone and atmosphere. The gameplay is very inspired and original, and it's as close to a 3D Zelda as any other company has gotten, competing with them in some aspects.
It's kind of slow and very long for what you'd expect in that type of game. It's very flawed, but it is unlike any other game I've played.

>Do you have a recommendation on what Metal Slug games I should play beyond 3 or are they all good?
1, X, and 3 are all excellent. 2 is basically just X with slowdown, so don't bother with it (X was released as an "enhanced" version of 2 and it's inarguably superior). Everything after that ranges from eh... to WHATWERETHEYTHINKING.jpg (especially 4 and the 3D game). If you HAVE to play one of the post-original-SNK-bankruptcy Metal Slugs then play XX because that's probably the best of the latter day Metal Slug games (though I wouldn't even bother personally).
There are also 2 games on the Neo Geo Pocket Color called Metal Slug 1st Mission and Metal Slug 2nd Mission, both of which are excellent games and are well worth your time. They definitely not as "epic" as the arcade games, but for portable run 'n' guns they're pretty much unrivaled.
too many/9
props for Clock Tower though
5/5, thanks for reminding me I don't own Symphony of the Night and copies are like $90
6/6, Prime 2 was great
4/5, didn't like Fable
9/9, dayum

I really like Yume Nikki, Pikmin, DKC and Metroid Prime. Going to take a look at Rose in the Twilight.
The Witness is pretty underrated around here and I like Shadow of the Colossus (not as much as everyone else, but still). Can't say I care much about the other games though.
Pretty nice seeing Solstice and Clock Tower.
