Actually Ingrid has kept a following in JP that has made her place highly when they officially gauged the popularity of characters. Her appearance in SFA3M is non-canon certainly, but that doesn't change the fact that she is inevitably going to be integrated into the mainline Street Fighter series with Season 3.

That wasn't me, and a costume has no bearing on whether she will be in the game or not. Ingrid has been guaranteed since season 2 but was merely delayed along with the arcade release in order to maximize the amount of people her release could bring.

If you're letting your bias cloud your expectations to make yourself believe that Ingrid isn't guaranteed for Season 3 then you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. Her inclusion will happen and nothing will change that.
