wow what a fantastic """strategy"""
tell me again why Business majors think they're smart when all they need to do is common sense bullshit?
...
...
All of this is lies
How can they get away with it? Activision and Blizzard are like a couple months from bankrupcty
You can't lie to a shareholders meeting, that would get the SEC on your anus. Any New York jew could tell you that.

Think I missed this slide.
And now it's just phone Q&A. Btw, Bobby K. said hi
Sup Forums thinks VGChartz numbers are credible, you can't expect them to understand anything about business.
>Driven by Destiny 2
How many times will people fall for this shit?
These charts aren't for "us gamers", they're for serious financial investors who are actual adults instead of the man children on this board.
Are you kidding? They are making ridiculous amount of jewgold on Hearthstone and Overwatch lootboxes.
bump for interest
its just bait
>operating margin of 34%
>people will still seriously come here and claim that game prices need to go up because games just aren't profitable to make any longer
They don't need game prices to go up now, they can make much more money off in-game purchases. Everybody made fun of Microsoft for focusing on the MAU metric, but now even Sony is stressing the importance of it. Having an active consumer base is more important than ever now that they can spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on additional digital purchases rather than just a $400 console and a couple $60 games.
Oh I agree, I'm always just flabbergasted by the morons that claim the industry is constantly on the edge of bankruptcy and consumers need to "take one for the team" in terms of getting shitty business practices shoved right up their ass
>brainlets on Sup Forums think they have insight on how multi billion dollar companies should be run
>they're for serious financial investors who are actual adults instead of the man children on this board
And every single one of those adults has less knowledge about the matter than any of those manchildren.
People are just really hopeful for another big crash, I think. The single-player doom-and-gloom shit that went around a couple weeks ago is a prime example. Everybody was saying Visceral's Star Wars game got cancelled for being single-player, but all the behind the scenes news pointed to it being a terribly managed mess that had some team members outright hoping for EA to mercy kill it sooner rather than later.
Common sense is rarer than you think.
People say that because the people actually making the games, the average programmers, digital artists, composers, etc. are making peanuts while the executives pocket the profits.
So it's easy for that narrative to develop when game journalists meet these developers and 90% of the team are poor fucks.
I blame King for the state gaming is in.
I don't even need a reason.
I appreciate your baseless conviction
There's a lot you could point to, big and small. The state of gaming is going to differ wildly depending on what part of it you're looking at.
I point to Unreal Engine 3 having no real Japanese documentation to having a considerable effect on the decline of the Japanese console dev industry last generation. I think it was pretty significant but not many people know about it.
Thanks.
I'm just here for the video game industry decline and jewery that many people are able to get away with.
