Why do SEGA glorified yakuza?
Why do SEGA glorified yakuza?
Why does Rockstar glorify outlaws and criminals
/thread
its humor yakuza is just advertising: join yakuza you be strong and get pusy
Yakuza has plenty of humor too, are loads of gifs and webms of Kiryu and Majima doing silly shit
didn't real Yakuza spoke about how they were portrayed in the game
>Glorified the Yakuza.
Hasn't Kiryu been former Yakuza since #1?
I'd rather have one Yakuza instead of a million mudslimes. Too bad I live in Europe.
because the joke is in nearly the entire Yakuza franchise you don't really play as a member of the Yakuza. Even in Yakuza 1 it only lasts for like the tutorial
Ivan pls, keep it vidya
The reason why SEGA "glorify" Yakuza isn't vidya either, Kevin.
You only play as a proper Yakuza in 0.
And I would say that is more romanticized muh honour muh brotherhood shit rather than glorification.
The series isn't even called Yakuza in Japan, the original name is Like a Dragon. It was changed to Yakuza here to attract the GTA crowd I Guess.
Not even yakuza, you just beat yakuza up
Wasn't there a time when Nintendo allegedly hired some Yakuza thugs to stand around Sega arcades to scare people away?
yakuza 0 sledgehammer didn't look to fun
>want to play some out run with my hard earned yens
>Some thugs with mario caps and Donkey Kong tattoos are hanging around the machine
>"Sumimasen thugs-kun, I want to play this one"
>Can hear a bing bing as they draw their katanas
>"Better go buy a nes or we'll kill you before you can even finish saying wahooo"
>glorify Yakuza
>majority of his screentime Kiryu is either kicked out of the yakuza or willingly retired
>first game literally opens with his boss attempting to rape his childhood friend and he kills the fucker on general principle
>glorified
If anything the games show just how much of a cutthroat world organized crime can be. Yeah, there's silly side games and goofy Jap humor all over but it still shows most people in the yakuza are thugs and punks that like to think of themselves as honorable because they have codes about who and when you can kill someone
>wahhhhh yakuza can't kill
Isn’t the current president of SEGA Japan and the director of the Yukuza franchise an ex Yukuza member? That’ll change my outlook on the Sonic franchise if yes.
The yakuza world exist in a parallel dimension where every man woman and child is twice as noble as the most noble man in our world.
Because they're owned by them?
They don't. Maybe you should try playing the fucking games sometime.
i'd rather have 50 yakuza in my town than 10 dindus
