There's no signs of a new handheld being in development at Nintendo. I think that Nintendo themselves underestimated how well the Switch would do and overestimated how long the 3DS had before it started plummeting. 3DS game sales have fallen off a cliff this year.

I'm of the opinion that W101 is the only good game Platinum has ever made. Well, I haven't tried Bayonetta yet but I played MGR and fucking hated it. The whole game was just a series of QTEs tricking you into believing you were doing cool stuff, the combat outside of them was barebones and the vocal OST was shitty.

Well for starters when you say PS4 exclusives, then you have to be more specific here Because a good part of those (or at least the most popular) are 3rd person shooters for some reason, the ones that aren't are okay to good like GR2, Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 to name a few from recent times, but if those don't interest you, avoid. On Switch's case, don't expect a new Zelda until the end of its cycle, and there's no news on VC yet, so if absolutely nothing else on the console interests you, then avoid.

The new Paper Mario team are going to still take his advice as law unless someone convinces them that people do want story, do want the classic battle system, and do want original characters in Paper Mario games. Hopefully that'll be Koizumi. He hasn't written a fleshed out narrative of any kind in years and he came up with Majora's Mask's story
