Protip: has something to do with length

good thing length doesn't matter

Despite being an all time favorite, there are issues.
But I think the first 2-3 hours (which has a horrible pacing) and combat being generally easy, to the point of experimenting with weapons feeling pointless, are the most egregious ones.

Pacing is all over the place, it felt like it should have ended at 4 different points.

The only bad thing about "length" is the starting of the game. Otherwise the fact that the game kept going with the "you think the game is over? THINK AGAIN!" was entertaining. The game's real issue was that it was generally very easy to break the game.

The difficulty is a bigger problem

The dog's tail isn't long or fluffy enough?
I'll play this thing eventually.

>too long is a complaint

Not enough Sakuya, and her second costume is inferior and less original.

The Shiranui skin kind of fixes this

The art style is a fucking eyesore.

I'm still scared of the ghost ship

Rao dies

If Okami was released today, everything after the first Orochi death would be DLC

The Banjo Kazooie voices are atrocious and will, justifiably, turn away a lot of potential players.

The beginning is almost unbearably slow

This one? Is it an unlockable bonus or story related? Cute dogs either way, man.

Most definitely this. Cricket needs to leave especially, or at least give me the option to turn them off entirely.

It's a good complaint to have in my opinion. You definitely feel like you get your money's worth but there were parts that felt a bit dragged on and repetitive. Such as the end where you have to fight all the bosses again back to back. It's a neat idea and I liked it but at the same time I just wanted to fight the final boss and finish the game.

It also had a slow start. Despite my high recommendations, I've had many friends struggle to get into the game because the first cut scene is like 30-40 min. Then it takes about another 2-3 hours to really hit actual game content.

Don't forget that all the Amaterasu reskins would be DLC packs too.

Don't fucking say that. Someone might be watching.

not on the Switch

my dick not being long enough to Priestess Rao give me a titfuck and suck the tip at the same time

>switchfags are this desperate for games

...

It is so easy that if you told me they literally didn't program a "game over" screen into the game, I would believe you.

Or the WiiU.
Missed opportunity.

Combat is boring

>This one? Is it an unlockable bonus or story related? Cute dogs either way, man.
I mean the plain wolf skin

The only flaw is that it was so fucking good everything else looks like grey mush after finishing it.

The beautiful blue skybox is gone when you're at the endgame point

Yeah, the combat was rather monotonous and uninteresting.

It would have been nicer had they emphasized brush attacks more... Aside from disrupting the enemy here or there It never felt worthwhile to use them in battle, especially when everything dies to a few glaive charges anyhow.

On a side note, the second arc always felt a bit tacked on and rushed. The content itself was fine but I think the way it was delivered could have been handled a bit better. I assume time constraints had something to do with it.

I actually stopped playing it after Orochi because I thought the game was over and there only sidequests left.
Had to properly finish it on the Wii.

Huh? You mean the whole arc before the vixen boss fight?

I dunno about you, but I liked how each arc had varied, so I don't feel like comparing them.

the only flaw is that there isn't more merch for is

My brother watched me beat this game on one sitting without getting hit once

I still got the 100 stary bead reward anyway

This is not meant to be a reply to OP but can I just say the motion controls in the Wii version is so hilariously awful. I couldn't even draw a circle right without it fucking up. I can't even imagine how disappointed the people who bought it must have been.

t. Michael J. Fox

The time traveling part was a complete rehash of the first Orochi fight.

I wanted to play this game really badly
I ended up getting it 4 years ago and the dog hide-and-seek game glitched out and I couldn't progress

Flaws? Shit, uh:
>weapons could have been more diverse
>Voices could get on the nerves of some people
>pacing was odd as shit

Should I purchase Okami HD for my Playstation 4, Sup Forums

That big boss you have to fight like 3 or 4 times. Ruined it for me.

Wait for Okami HD to come to PC in December

If you enjoy Zelda games, then yes.

Ammy is cute!

There is absolutely no excuse for having to do the exact same Orochi battle three times.

I want to pet that dog.

>three times.
Is my memory going to shit? I played it in January and I only remember 2 Orochi fights.

wii version has absolutely broken fucking controls, way too goddamn sensitive
am i alone with this? maybe i just gotta calibrate it or something

...

...

>these fuckers
>lack of bosses/variety
>too easy; needs to be harder
>slow dialogue speed; let me be able to speed or skip it

Otherwise, great game.

I had a similar experience, I don't know if the game just judges the drawings too harshly but I was unable to get even basic shit to work consistently.

Not the brush controls really, but the attacking and shit

Okami seems more like a comfy couch game than anything.

Hopefully there will be mods for the dialogue thing.
