Just picked this up, what am I in for bros?
The real FF13
It's actually quite good. I need to finish it
I'm on the last disc, just need the motivation to do it.
I dont know if that is a good thing
I'm like 10 minutes in. So far the map is just as linear as FF13 but I'm in super early game so whatever. Does it open up? Do I get to a world map?
Slow combat
Well done combat and method of getting skills, along with godly music and a great deal more tears than you expect.
Also, try not to over level or grab too many of the Null/Absorb damage accessories or skills before you fight the last boss. It'll ruin it.
The leveling seems to take forever. You lv up quickly once in an area and then it ends up taking years to get the next level.
poorly designed boss fights on top of an otherwise decent game.
>with godly music
Who does the music? Is it Nobuo?
its designed to keep you in a certain level range so you aren't too strong or too weak for that part of the game. Kinda gay because it gives you less freedom and makes the game feel more linear.
I believe you're supposed to focus on skills and items over levels, as in go for strategy over power-levelling. Basically that's a sign that you should be able to beat the boss at that point.
It's just that once you're set to fight the last boss, you'll have access to a great deal of ways to become far too powerful for the fight to be even remotely fun.
I did all the extra content and ruined the whole thing for myself.
Just keep teaching your Immortals every single skill (useless one's too, when they've got nothing else to learn) while not neglecting any of your party members' level or immortal skills, you shouldn't have any trouble if you keep that up.
Yeah. Godly may be an over exaggeration on my part, but they are legitimately great tracks.
This is on purpose, there's soft level caps per area (every fight will start rewarding a single exp point) in order to keep you relatively correctly powered.
It doesn't really work so well because the power growth of Immortals from learning new skills way outpaces the enemies you fight even if you aren't allowed to over level.
I liked it a decent amount, after a certain point you get way too powerful but the story is good and if you're amused by Rugrats voices you're in for a treat. Gonna go look up what happens at the end now, I actually quit in the final dungeon because I got lost.
I picked this up used but for like 5 bucks but it came with a case that only fits one disk and has the other 3 in sleeves. Are all the cases for this game like this or is this some bootleg case?
One of my favorites. I've been planning on replaying it.
I've got a thick case with the usual multi disc slots and a reasonable sized manual, don't know what you got.
its just a typical xbox case with the manual but only one disk slot
Unironically the best JRPG since the PS2.
Amazing soundtrack, great graphics for the time, awesome designs, excellent voice acting, a well written story. This game has everything you could ever want in a JRPG and anyone who doesn't agree is verifiably, absolutely and undeniably a cocksmoking faggot.
t. Imported the JAP edition because it had a nicer box and also English subs
The reason why we grew out of JRPG's and went to WRPG's.
Qt pedobait.
Pretty sure that'd still be legit, buddy. They're not all like that though.
here, the European release is like that, which is why I imported the Japanese one. The cover design is also greatly superior.
One of the best rpg on the 360
I need to get my black hands on that nip version
