I finished reading this a short while ago. I don't even know where or how to start, what the fuck was that ending ? Nothing was resolved we still don't clearly know who did it , who is Yasu ?

Welcome to Umineko, the ride is amazing but there's a reason it's not called the "answer arc".

In the manga it's spelled out
yasu = canon and shannon, trap

>Nothing was resolved
It was, but they didn't hand out the answers like candy

*cackle*

The answers are there. Either figure it out or just google them.

how the hell did you read through all of that and not figure out who Yasu is?

I really thought it would be like Higurashi, and even then without the answer arcs it would be near impossible to guess that parasites would be the cause. Anyway I did'nt care anymore about the mystery in Higurashi, the actual stupid slice of life moments and atmosphere were really enjoyable

I understood that at a given moment in Episode 7 the Shannon illusion was broken it was revealed it was a personality somehow. But what were the indications that she still was "impersonated" in the first four games ? I'm probably too much of a brainlet

Yasu appears only in episode 7

You're better not knowing the truth, actually. Just shut your brain off and enjoy the ride

Kinzo's son, the product of an incestual rape.

>You don't want anyone that's not a virgin ?!

Which one of you bastards from /v-pol/ said this to Rosa ?

It's common sense really, every virgin I've known is either extremely shy or very closed and resentful. They are weirdos and it's boring to hang out with them, the end.

So make them not virgins and cure them from their curse?

Because going for someone with more experience is always an option, duh.

Yeah you are right fuck introverted people they should just die.

I honestly don't care. Everyone searchs for their own happiness in life, if you are not able to take the first step then nobody will come near to help you, that's all I'm going to say.

anyone have that "hi im genji" image?

Yeah but umineko was great right guys?
How about favorite episodes?
It was a long time ago but I think 5 was my favorite.

I enjoyed this and am now interested in Higurashi. Is there a one and done download location for the whole thing plus maybe some sprite changes like Umineko had and voice acting?

It was? I don't remember. Nah, it was probably shit.

Friendly reminder that Genji is trash that manipulated a mentally unstable young man and all the people around him just so he could die and sniff Kinzo's cock in the Golden Land (a.k.a. Heaven)

Last time I googled it, yeah I think there was.

NEWS WHEN

News of what?

NEVER EVER

You are talking like being introverted is a disease that needs to be cured.

No, they need to be PURGED!

...

Annoying. Please go back to tumblr.

I was just playing.

>who is Yasu
t. brainlet

>implying OP was not merely pretending to be retarded
t. brainlet

High I.Q. assertion.

I want to become Maria's new father

Was Rosa a shit designer or was it purely the business aspect?

Shit designer, there's no other possible explanation.

>Was Rosa a shit
Yes

>brand name is "anti-rosa"
I think her marketing was just complete garbage

>read through Umineko for the first time
>Shkanon is painfully obvious in episode 1
>get unsure about it when they're shown talking to each other
>become sure of it again in episode 3
I don't understand how some people can go through the entire thing without understanding Shkanon. It's made even more painfully obvious in Chiru.

Uh-huh, surely you weren't spoiled before reading it, sure, yep.

Other than them not interacting there is absolutely nothing in Ep1 that even remotely points to Shkanon being a thing, much less them being the culprit.

The problem is how personalities randomly die for no reason in red text.

Ch1 has one die with face clearly viable establishing a very certain corpse while the other one still lives.

>painfully obvious
nu-uh

>teenage boy servant seems very awkward and uncomfortable
>Battler says some shit about how "all boys his age" are like that
>"female" servant with similar clothes and name and appearance shows up when he's not around
I can't remember exactly but something Battler said made it really quite obvious in a "this is supposed to be foreshadowing" kind of way.

No lad. The reason they have the same servant name is cause they 'both' came from the orphanage.

I want to FUCK Eva

Too bad she's not real lol

that was a lie
the servants who told you that were accomplices

Everything was resolved. Are you retarded?

>"female" servant with similar clothes and name and appearance shows up when he's not around
Had you actually read the character profiles you'd know that all the orphanage servants use names with 音 in them and that Shannon and Kannon are just the ones that happened to be there on that day. The character profiles turn it from vaguely obvious into an unexpected Christie-esque turn.

Whats a good VN that isnt a million hours long?

Except for the fact that Battler never saw them together ?

I'm with this user, it was pretty obvious. I considered it just a theory until ep.7 because of all the meta shit going on, but it's not that impossible to figure out.

The trick and the culprit are revealed in ch6. Beatrice's story and the real Rokkejima massacre in chapter 7.
Pretty sure it was meant to be auntie Rosa.

They basically spell it to you with the love trial so I figured out at the time

The House in Fata Morgana.
Obviously, everything seems obvious once you finish reading it. Doesn't count.

>the real Rokkejima massacre in chapter 7
Bern fully admits to lying using the red, it's an extremely important moment that should not be overlooked.

rosa was too busy sucking dick to focus on work, worst mother ever

Fata Morgana is my favorite VN
the OST is godly too

Apparently Yasu's real name is Sayo Yasuda? when was this revealed?

Yeah, I'm lovin so far. I'm still reading the last chapter so don't spoil pls.

Don't remember that. She was saying "it's the truth, sort of" but got interrupted. The manga also confirms her version.

That's the red I was talking about.
Her saying "it's the truth, sort of" basically means "yeah I am making this shit up, but feel free to believe me"

I wish we got the extras of the vita version

Like I said, it was a theory I had since the beginning and I even wrote my theories while reading.

And it's not like it's original, a lot of mystery already made the "two characters were one", that's why Battler was supposed to figure it out.

No! you're not more smart than me!

What's with all the umineko threads lately?
There's been at least one every day for the past few weeks.

like the beginning of ep2 when george is at the aquarium with shannon

Answer arc is releasing on steam in around a week.

Really? This is the first one I've seen in like a month.

...

I don't remember that.

You're retarded but that ending was awful regardless. I genuinely believe the conspiracy theory that his friend was ghost writing the story, or at least had a major influence on it. When Ryu's friend died the story got so much worse, and the themes turned upside down. Originally the whole point of the story was that Battler refused to "blame the witch" and wanted to figure out who killed his relatives even if the truth was disgusting. It was about him cutting through and defeating the illusion with truth. After episode 4? I believe (it's been a long time) the story changes so that now Battler gave up on learning the truth and was okay with taking the easy route of blaming the witch. That's a complete and total flip flop on the premise of the story. It also had a weird thing going where it was clearly set up for Yasu to be the killer, but then in episode 7 he just goes "lol jk it was Kyrie and Rudolf all along!" What the fuck is the point of all the character development and time Yasu got on screen when SHE DIDN'T EVEN DO IT?

It's honestly a really trash visual novel and the only people who like it were the ones that got stockholm'd along the way.

Solving a mystery story is not a proof of intelligence, it's more about experience and luck.

I'm not here to say "I'm a genius", just that the shkanonnatrice trick is pretty basic.

God is already Maria's father.

I'm just kidding, it's just that it does not seem very plausible to me that someone could figure out everything so quickly from the start, but I believe you. It's fine.

for shit and giggles

Pretty much and I said so as a virgin. Ironically though, normal people are the ones that never seem to have enough or satisfied and always look for new sensations and get extremely analblasted if they don't (like Rosa here) so is basically a bit bitter, boring but peaceful and relaxed life vs a rollercoster of emotions that can either make you crash down and fuck up or reach new hights.

I personally like the former, but if people wanna do the latter, then be my guess.

Why Rosa is best girl?

It's just really odd to me that Yasuo was set up as an extremely key main character but canonically she did almost nothing and was a pretty minor character. The only thing Yasu actually did was show them where the gold was. There the family had a fight over money and Kyrie/Rudolf began their massacre. Why did a minor character get much more development than the major characters? It feels to me like something else had to be planned or it just doesn't make sense.

I did that post three hours ago, user. I don't care anymore. Shoo away virgin

Well, everyone knows that BB is the one truth

How long ago did you stop thinking user?
Too fucking bad brainlet goats made RK07 answer the question to that and have the One Truth revealed in the manga.

I think you explained yourself in your post. Ryukishi wasn't emotionally in a good spot when he wrote the ending. It's understandable, and I don't mind the ending.

Where can I order a Beatrice portrait?

Someone sounds upset. You don't have to reply if you don't want to.

Paint it yourself

>Watch joke subs
>Rosa was changed to Rosatrice

Brilliant

Pay someone to paint it for you.
Not really, I just lost interest and also I'm just playing.

i would think with how much people like the portraits, there would be a site or 2 some people know that sell the portrait.

You're misunderstanding the theme.
Battler accepting magic was him accepting there are explainable things, and the truth is that there is no truth. He never "blamed the witch". He became a magician himself, after figuring out Yasu. Then he tried to help lead Ange to a better life.
When Battler says magic exists, he's saying fantasies are okay to have as long as you use them in a good way, to Ange. And in the end there really is no truth to be found about the family, it was all blown up. In the first and final choice you can have Ange believe in the good or bad intentions of people.

Yasu is Beatrice, Beatrice created the game itself. She's the one who sets up the situation, gives them the guns and starts the bomb, kills the first people. And most importantly she writes the first few bottle stories. The world you see in the first four stories are her worlds. She wrote different scenarios to obfuscate the truth. She intended to kill them all, and those were her plans.

It's a much more complicated ending then you're making it seem.

The Damedame subs constantly make community reference jokes, like Rosatrice, constantly insulting Krauss for his stupid Moon shit, Battler being an idiot, George being an asshole, etc.

>what would a cool guy do?!
Makes me laugh every time.

*there are unexplainable things

It's weird honestly, it would have been a good idea for marketing when the VN started gaining popularity a few years ago. Oh well.

The game in general has a very small amount of merch, especially compared to Higurashi.

Please write in the thread if you fins something. I really want to place something like this in my room.

Where do you watch that, anyway? Youtube? Nyaa?
