I pay $60 for 10mb/s down and 1mb/s up on ADSL2+. I actually get closer to 8 down 0.8 up, but there ain't much I can do until the NBN hits my suburb mid next year.

It's fucked because they started work on the cables at the top of my street about 4 months ago, did 2 weeks of work, and then fucked off. All they actually did was tear up some sidewalk and put it back in, and only for 1/4 of the street.

Believe me, everyone knows how shit Australia and its people are. No need to start a fucking thread over it.

Get no slowdowns, no issues, nothing and ping to closet server is 1ms so in some games on aussie servers i can get 1ms ping
On the other hand, my friend pays telstra $110 a month for half my speeds as it is FTTN (fibre to node) and is capped at 1tb. He also connection issues at time and slowdowns

Wish that were possible. They are cracking down on welfare frauds. Too many people sit around and do nothing on government money that now if the government even suspects you aren't dedicating every waking moment to getting work, you MUST be a welfare fraud and will boot you off their $800 a month welfare system, which barely covers the cost of...

- Water
- Rent (if you live in Sydney or Melbourne or anywhere near a major city minus the west coast)
- Internet
- Phone Line Rental (yes that's actually a fucking thing)
- Phone bills for even fucking receiving calls (yes that's also a fucking thing, tldr if you are on ADSL2+ you cant avoid phone line rental but you can just unplug the phone and get literally no fees for calls)
- Mobile phone plans that are about as autistic as they get (my one is $80 a month, and that covers the cost of the handset, 2gb of data, and "unlimited" calls and texts to national numbers. Eveything else is like $5 a minute and while you get $100 of credit towards that its still fucked)

And I haven't even brought up food, clothing, higher education, fuel, vehicle repair, home maintenance, medical expenses, etc.

My internet speeds were fine before they started rolling out that partial fibre/NBN, now I'm down to FUCKING 7Mbps SPEED

I stay with tpg as they were great when i was with them on adsl2+
I have little problem supporting tpg as i find them a great provider and were very helpful for me during the nbn installation

I currently get 10mb/s at 60 with iinet. Probably not worth changing provider until the NBN comes to my suburb.

No worries m8, I was with exetel for 8+ years on adsl but the prices were shit for the NBN so I took the gamble and went with someone else and it worked out fine, think I might have used some luck with it though.
Don't care if my ISP is helpful for me, just give me my internet and I'll pay you monthly, don't want to hear from you or have to talk to them thats just me though.

I'd love to. Infact I've done the whole cycle: Spam apply at the nearby grocery chains/fast food joins/generic goods stores while also applying for factory work etc whenever it pops up. I've tried this for 5 years. I've refined my attempts and I've tried using coverletters, lying on my resume, hounding them in-store and via the phone, getting additional certificates/licenses/certificates, nothing works.

I'm literally FORCED to NEET by employers, and the government wants to whip me over the knuckles for being in this shitty situation, which leaves me with either severe depression, severe alcoholism, or a mix of both (which we call alcohol poisoning)
