Warhammer dwarves are so fucking vindictive it's great, i've been playing them myself on mortal empires or whatever the mode is called

The only problem I got with the Dwarfs, especially in Mortal Empires, is that the newer Dwarf holds that become available, like Karak Zorn, do not have any unique buildings. I mean, Karak Zorn is where the Karaz Ankor began. It's the birthplace of all Dawi. How does it NOT have a unique building?

i got told the first total warhammer game was boring as shit due to the weird racial territory restriction and having no point to ever play after one full length campaign because of it

I did a full grudge clear and cleansed the entire world in TWW1 with dwarves. Those fucking Jews. The other dwarf clans would only confederate after paying them somthing like 20k gold, even when we were the only ones left
By proper, I don't think he means reckoning. While great to see my favorite setting, it still tried very hard to do the WoW thing of "good faction vs. Evil faction" and that isn't how WHFB is laid out. It's varying degrees of each. Not to mention reckoning left out half the armies. People liked the different armies, not just the homogenized ones.

Stretch your infantry wide to capture the whole enemy line, and stick your direct fire ranged units on the outside (but still protected). When melee begins, simply swing them around. Your longbeards will literally never rout, so you have plenty of time to move your guys. Add organ guns to taste to deal with fliers/cavalry.

I did that with gyrobombers, mass bombing orc moshpits is amazing

It's pretty scary, if you start as someone in the new world and dont touch the old world for a 100 turns out so, there will be a gigantic blob of blue dwarf territories with 10 doomstacks patrolling

Dwarves in this setting will, literally, start a 300 year war of you short change them by a single cent. They will also take offense if you don't haggle lower on your goods, if you try and haggle them, if you try and give them a new odea, and the list goes on.
Really the only chill dwarves are slayers.

Is chaos stacks for ME fixed?

Those restrictions were better since they kept everything lore friendly. Now it's complete clusterfuck which destroys all immersion because AI don't give a shit about climate. Empire looks the worst because of this.

ME will be good once bug fixes, Norsca, and foundation update will be up. For now it feels like beta. It's obvious they needed more time but wanted to release it asap.
If you never played TW:W you will probably don't mind it that much, but for now you basically have inferior version of first game which really stands out in comparsion to TW:W 2. Matter of two month max, though.

It will be awesome after all FLC and DLC for TW:W2.

Right now, there are a few big problems. Norsca are their original watered down selves and not playable. All the foundation stuff is missing. When the Chaos Invasion hits, it ignores AI armies to just constantly give you new stacks to fight. Even if it's endurable with a lot of good fights, it becomes old quickly. However, that's a bug they're meaning to fix and the rest of the mentioned stuff is getting added later.

Now, every faction can take every settlement thanks to the climate system. What this means, however, is that some settlements are never going to be as productive or profitable as the others. They can still be taken and still be useful, you just have to make sure your empire is fiscally and militarily strong enough to hold them. It's a difficulty, but it definitely fixed the problem of where you could settle in the first game.

As for finishing the Mortal Empires campaign? I don't know if I'll ever get that far. Even when the Chaos invasion is fixed, it's a huge, huge fucking game. To the point I can't believe people were complaining about scaling the map down before. It's great to grow out into the world and deal with different factions, and it starts to really feel like you're dealing with the intricacies of five continents and the megawars that can build up between them. Dealing with your own fights, while watching which faction comes out on top. Launching incursions into a new realm with threats that have been building you couldn't have anticipated. You might have dealt with Greenskins without a threat in the jungles of Ulthuan, but when you land on the Old World and find that a greenskin horde is the premier force in the game, it really adds to the experience.

However, it's fuckhuge. It takes a long-ass time to expand across the sea, even as much as it has been scaled down. I'm going to wait for Chaos fix, Norsca addition, and Foundation Re-Update before throwing another go into it. It's promising, however.

I have yet to play either, should I get the first one with all the dlc's and let the second one mature, or does the sequel have enough improvements over the original to warrant jumping straight into it, instead?

Original has tons more content. WH 2 has four good campaigns in its own right and has a lot of improvements and new systems, and the Vortex aim does add something a bit more engaging, but WH1 is a very, very fleshed out game.

Personally, I'd get WH2 first, then get WH1 and the dlcs when there's a sale so you can enjoy the megacampaign that puts them both together.

Do you want to play as any TW:W 2 races? If not, then stick to TW:W 1 for now. It's more complete, and I personaly like more races here. Combined campaign is playable only if you own both of them.
Also you don't have to get Welves, Beastmen and Norsca if you don't want to play as them. They will show up as AI faction anyway.
Get only Blood for one title and you will have it in two next also.
Don't forget to register on Total War Acess to get regiments of renown for TW:W1

Warhammer is such a rich universe that everyone still needs love.

It's because the money for the RoR update was directly taken out of the marketing budget for TW Access. From a business perspective, its only purpose is to convince people to subscribe to their newsletter.

Tried them for real this time around. As far as the campaign goes, they feel broken as fuck. Auto-Resolve values are off the charts and if you decide to fight, you kill 3/4 of the enemy army with 2 units of Flamethrowers.

But I'm having fun and it's a single player so who cares about that.

Do I need another DLC to link up Warhammer 1 with 2 or is just pirating both of them enough?

That's because TW:W was already released for while. And still it wasn't cracked for long time because strategy games are niche and nobody gives a shit about them. And those who crack them have to do it each time new version, update, flc or dlc is released and they prefer to gain attention from cracking Ass Creed, Wolfenstein or other normie games. Your version was cracked after a bunch of things was already released.
Also I don't see Norsca in your version so it's not the most up to date version either. Find version with Norsca, foundation update and 30 birthday ror's and stick with it for now.
