The pvp is bad. The entire game, all weapons, specs and traitlines are intended for anet's spvp KotH mode. I find pvp to be the most unlikeable aspect of this game but ANet wanted that peice of (then) emerging esports pie and they let the stronger pve side of the game suffer for their weak pvp modes. Also back in 2012 the whole "no trinity" thing hasn't aged well. Contrary to what ANet thinks people love playing healer and tank.
