>class balancing
Blizzard's answer to class balance recently has been to homogenize the shit out of every spec. Meaning that I don't trust Blizzard to balance shit anymore.
The downside with this is of course that half the specs in vanilla were completely god damn useless, to the point where they only existed to give the specs that mattered a few extra percent.
The reality that will probably hit most people the hardest is that their favorite class/spec combo just isn't worth using anymore.
>quality of life improvements
I'm talking bag size, off-specs, transmogs, summoning stones... that kinda' thing. Stuff that doesn't really influence gameplay too heavily, but makes for a less tedious experience.
I'd almost recommend they don't add any of these because the reality of situation is that it's such a slippery slope. What I define as quality of life, might be totally different from what the normalfag, who thinks tokens are a neat quality of life improvement, are.
And if they add anything they're going to piss of the nostalgiafags and the ones who didn't get THEIR definition of quality of life improvements.
>progression
At the end of the day everything will eventually get boring if done enough. And when the nostalgia wheres thin, it'll happen even faster. The reality of the situation is that these vanilla servers will HAVE to advance as I see it.
The question is how, and when should they advance.
Personally I'd radically tone down the speed of expansions, and try to pace content better (in terms of WHEN patches come out) if they chose to go with TBC, WOTLK, Cata and so on and so on.
There is of course the alternative, of using WoW Classic as a new starting point. A lot of people agree that Retail WoW has gotten bloated and stale, and this might be their chance to (literally) go back to their roots and try to "do it right this time".
They could either tell a brand new story with new focuses and new content.
What does Sup Forums think Blizzard should/will change?
