I beat all the EX primals except shinryu. I don't know why but I'm scared to do it. The encounter seems frightening.

People really shouldn't focus too much on minmaxing job choices. Everything is balanced to the point where you can clear everything with anything as long as you meet the minimum item level.

So I'm in the market for a new laptop to play XIV on, as my current one sucks shit. I can push 20 FPS at best when all my graphical options are put to the absolute lowest.

What's a halfway decent laptop I could get somewhere in the range of $500-600 that could feasibly run the game at at least 30 FPS with some graphical effects enabled?

I know I could make a good PC for that price and the whole "gaming laptop" meme but space and portability are big issues for me.

WoW should be recognized for being one of the easiest to play in terms of movement, casting, and just general play as well as the first with a fully realized world. But lore, design, everything great about those things were carryovers from the original RTS series. Nothing about current WoW is good.

It's a shame Chris Metzen and Ghostcrowler retired, they could have made Classic WoW great.

Mostly thanks to WoW refugees who think everything needs to be meta and have double the required dps to clear.

Standard quests and story quests should reset after a while, cause im level 42 and everywhere is empty. Itd give people a reason to run around the world on their alt jobs.

Pretty much dropped the game for a bit since i got bored with the content. The new dungeon and raid were a bit mediocre at best and I just couldn't motivate myself to play anymore.

I'm mainly curious if my group's interest in clearing it will remain into the next patch cycle, even though the raised itemLevel will make the dps checks a joke.

You cannot excel at actually making money in this game at all 70 crafters unless you are all crafters in 70, you can exclude CUL, but you probably want that to 70 too unless you like paying out the ass for HQ raid food at the motherboard. All the specific 70's mats for multi-star crafts are going to be expensive as fuck, depending on your server economy. You want your gatherers at 70. I left my fishing at 30 and I regret it, I left one gatherer down and I pay out the fucking ass for fishing mats... even though maybe not because fishing is boring as fuck at least I can ensure HQ items when mining and chopping, fuck fishing.

tl;dr: you want all 70 crafters/gatherer otherwise it's pointless spam levequest time

Weakness and Brink of Death will still make it impossible for those that aren't skilled.

Yeah, but passing dps checks with ease (and skipping parts of a boss' rotation) makes it easier to focus and execute mechanics rather than trying to spin plates with maximizing your rotation and doing them at the same time.

I have 3 alts all at level 70 with every craft, but have 3 so I can have all of the specializations accounted for.

Of course, changing specializations is easy, but I also get more weeklies to do this way and have 2 times the retainers (2 miners, 2 botanists, 1 fisher and 1 dps because fuck fisher is useless).

Unless they cap ilevel for it. Which they should, frankly, since it's supposed to be a challenge.

It is. But you only get a limit of three changes a week.

You're capped at swapping them three times a week, but which really means you can only swap 2 out a week because all the good crafter/gatherer gear can only be made using ALC specialist items.
