I heard the Dungeon Dice Monsters game was good on GBA, and everyone needs to give DDM more of a chance!
holy fuck the animation took a serious dive this season
Actually yeah
The mid-battle field changes really spice things up.
Fun fact: The first six episodes of Capsule Monsters were spliced into a 90 minute movie. 4kids announced that they would do the same for the last 6 episodes but never did. Also, the Capsule Monsters arc was fully dubbed into Japanese but it was never released to the public.
It's good, but it can be kind of boring if you don't like flooding the board with low level monsters.
>this season
Do you mean season 5 or Capsule Monsters?
If you mean Capsule Monsters, that's because it's not even a proper filler season.
>Throw sword in air
>Shock it
>It becomes a solar flare
learn something new every day
>only 4kids wanted this arc
why the fuck
I wanted more of strategic locations.
>Strike Ninja.
Can you do victory can-cans in this game?
Ishizu is best girl.
how many more episodes is this crap?
Was away most of the day. Did they go straight from KC Grand Prix to Capsule Monsters?
They ended KC Grand Prix and now we're in Capsule Monsters
>playing legacy of the duelists
>at yugi vs kaiba duel in season 3
>losing pretty heavily, stall for time with swords of revealing light
>have two monsters on the field and a 4 card hand, one of which is slifer
>he has blue eyes and another monster on his side of the field
>on the last turn of swords of revealing light i draw monster reborn
>use it to summon obelisk from kaiba's graveyard and destroy his blue eyes, then sacrifice it to summon slifter
>next turn he uses enemy controller and kills me with slifer
what the fuck, i thought the egyptian gods couldn't be targeted by card effects? i was having a show tier duel and it ends to that shit?
I think that's just Obelisk who has that effect. I also thought that he couldn't be Special Summoned. Interesting.
>playing the game
>not reading the effects
user pls
>filler
>no Kaiba
>not even any cards of duels
Is this even Yu-Gi-Oh! anymore?
>Is this even Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game⢠anymore?
For the last time, no
>Intro has everyone with a capsule cannon.
>Kaiba is still using a duel disk.
I do like Joeys design for this arc.
Why is this shit so hard
He can be special summoned but he goes to the graveyard at the end of the turn (that's why I tributed him)
This shit is literally just pokemon
that said its more watchable than the ususal yugioh.
>a yugioh strategy game

I just used that kid from ACR-V's Dinosaur Pendulum deck and steamtrolled every single duel.
Only had trouble if I didn't get a good starting hand against some later characters with fucked up Xyz summons.
Capsule monsters was made by 4kids, it didnt even air in japan.

Best game coming through
Heart of the Capsules
I don't think filler would be the reason anyway.
The Egypt arc was canon and it had horrid animation. If anything, the filler arcs had better animation than it had.
Except Kaiba's tournament, it get pretty shocking at times.
>Kaiba's fingers in literally any season
Wow, never played this but that song is pretty good. Is it worth it?
We keep saying yes
Sorry man, I'm not here for every thread. Thanks for the reply.
I mean this is clearly just wanting to talk about the stream.
No but seriously it's a fun game
I'm really enjoying the soundtrack right now so I'm going to look into it and give it a shot. I tend to have more fun with Yu-Gi-Oh! vidya and stuff when it isn't explicitly about dueling. Though I love the card game, too.
What's the purpose behind saying "I mean" before you're said anything else? You've not said anything that could be understood a different way. Why are you clarifying nothing?
Not even shitposting, genuinely curious.
>tfw no more experimental YGO games
*blocks your path*
I heard you wanted to have fun playing card video games. I'm here to crush your soul.
The sad thing is that this art direction is gone. I really miss the stuff from DM-5D's. I'd play anything with that artstyle.
seriously fuck that stretch at the end of the game.
I think the official ruling is that they can't be destroyed by card effects.
Anything else goes. Think Indestructible from Magic, except losing a fight still kills 'em.
But then, idk.
Not him but its connotation as well as the rhythm of the sentence changes its mood to a more whimsical one as opposed to just
>This is clearly just wanting to talk about the stream
Maybe that's just me though
This, Capsule Monsters, and Duelist of the Roses were fantastic. Yugioh needed to do this kind of stuff more. It adapts well, for whatever reason.
I do see a lot of people doing this, but intentionally so as to seem like they don't really care, when they're actually mad. My bitch sister and mother do this all the time.
>tfw no weird yugioh fighting game
>tfw no weird yugioh fps
>tfw no weird yugioh racing game pre-5Ds
Joke's on you, I like battle low meadow mage all day
You'll get the bad new character designs and you'll like them
>Yu-Gi-Oh! fighting game
I've unironically wanted this for a long time. It'd be crazy as hell with all the monsters.
I'd be totally okay with Darkstalkers 1 reskinned with yugioh monsters
>tfw no weird yugioh JRPG with monster recruiting like SMT
>Give me a random card from your deck and I'll think about joining you.
Accept / Refuse ?
>Yu-Gi-Oh! SMT
>Ritual monsters are suddenly the shit
>Making a pact between monsters to bring out Magician of Black Chaos
I always thought they got a raw deal. Criminally underpowered, till they got so strong that they got hammered.
I usually use it as a way to indicate confusion or lack of understanding as to why a person did a certain thing. It's generally used with an inflection more like a question and is my best guess as to why events happened as they did.
>I mean, maybe he didn't block because he was hoping to topdeck the battle rage next turn?
Alternatively, I sometimes use it as a concession or compromise
>I mean, it wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen but I still don't think it was very good.
>gives Kuriboh
Thanks, here, take this
>offers Kuriboh
They were only bad because Konami changed how they worked
>Thanks. Now give me another.
Accept / Refuse ?
Its fantastic.
How did they change them?
It should either be Heritage for the future but with monsters, or have it's own card system where you have semi random cards(You can have a controlled randomness work in a fighter) to use as special moves.
They were originally upgrades to specific monsters. Black Luster Soldier is upgraded Gaia the Fierce Knight. Magician of Black Chaos is upgraded Dark Magician. Relinquished is upgraded Dark-Eyes Illusionist. Their requirements for summoning were more varied than matching stars for tributes and they all had high ATK for their level except for Relinquished. Just like fusions in the anime/manga, they gained the effects of the monsters tributed to summon them when possible.
Because they weren't real cards in the anime/manga, they should have been Extra Deck cards, which is what Konami did to fusion monsters.
That sounds a lot better.
>cheat
That would've been pretty cool but would've also probably died to power creep. It'd be pretty sweet for a SMT-esque YGO game.
This is the best yugioh game.
This is how it works for Relinquished
>have Dark-Eyes Illusionist in play
>activate Black Illusion Ritual
>sacrifice Dark-Eyes and another illusionist with less than 100 ATK
>summon Relinquished on top of Dark-Eyes
>Relinquished gains the effects of the sacrificed monsters
In the manga you need two monsters in play to summon Relinquished, not just one. It didn't get Dark-Eye's effect, but it did get monster absorption from the other. Then when he fuses it with Thousand-Eyes Idol, Thousand-Eyes Restrict has effects from all three. Paralyzing eye from Dark-Eyes, monster absorption from the unnamed monster, and spread effect from Thousand-Eyes. Pegasus also could have tributed Dragon Capture Jar (which is a monster with 100/200 ATK/DEF in the manga) which would give Relinquished/Thousand-Eyes a very different feeling; Kaiba would have been thoroughly fucked if Pegasus pulled that against him.
I don't know, man. Mixing and matching effects can be pretty powerful.
>Black Luster Soldier with effects from two monsters
Holy shit. Why do some many yugioh games have amazing music????
so many*
>Fine, be that way!
>leaves without joining or returning your cards
>Gives Release Restraint
>Not like I have anything better going on.
>Bolt Escargot joins you
I dunno, but there's a goldmine. I do wish the GBA games had better rips though. youtube.com
They really impress in that department.

Literally Yugioh Fire Emblem.

Why does tristen have the chad hair
Ask your mom.
Is OtN much better than Stardust Accelerator?
Can you get more Synchros and/or Psychics early on?
The grind to get good cards in SA is a bit much, especially when every person, barring some of the required story duelists, has a complete archetype deck that's way better than what I can slap together.
>The Chad Tristian
>The Virgin Duke
Honestly, I have no idea. It's been forever since I played either game. Maybe someone else can chime in.
That's fair enough, I've only recently started playing SA.
I had originally gone to play OtN, but it needed a crash fix and I couldn't be fucked, so I went for SA.
I know there's more cards in OtN and everything, but if I have to grind out the ass to get mediocre packs, I'm going to stick with SA.
It's fire emblem and is responsible for getting me into fire emblem.
Yes, it's amazing.
Yes. Tomb of Ancient Kings is one of my favorite orchestral soundtracks ever. Wish they made a sequel.
Yugioh fire emblem?
I wanted to play Tag Force but those chibi sprites make my eyes bleed.
Wish the mods would quit being such faggots. These threads have a hell lot more vidya discussion than most of Sup Forums.
Anyway, how does WC 2008 compare to 06 and 07? I only have 08 right now, and it was pretty good thus far, despite some weird card omissions (Such as Bazoo The Soul Eater, which i often used with Tyranno Infinity). Even the models were charming.
Forbidden memories is the best Yu Gi Oh game.
The best is actually WC 2010
2011 would be better because of the precon decks for tournaments beat the piss out of structure deck duels, but had a really shit AI that took minutes to make turns because of
>...
on a loop.
As well as me still being assmad that they didn't include Extreme Victory.
Why is everyone talking about yugioh all of a sudden
07 uses the same models, 06 has no models. neither have a story mode; you simply beat each duelist in a level 5 times each to unlock the next level of duelists to fight. If there is any reason to play these games it would be for their inclusion of many duel puzzles, themed duels, limited duels, and survival duel modes, which 08 doesn't have.
Which Tag-Force is the best?
Twitch is steaming Yugi era.
Between this and DL, Konami is whipping up nostalgiafags en masse. But probably won't do anything to capitalize on it.
why didnt they release it to the japanese public?
they did it for pyramid of light
someone post the chart. you know the one
>all this weird shit like xyz, synchro, dueling on motorcycles
>tfw the Yu-Gi-Oh you know is just the first 3 seasons and whenever you tell someone you like YGO they think you're talking about all this weird new shit
>5DS
>New
Shit's 10 years old next year user.
>tfw I tried DL just because of the marathon
I wish the game had a full mat insted of three spaces.
muh gen wun
No shit. Everything past Yugi Muto is new Yu G oh! tbqh
>Playing 5D's after years of not touching any YGO related.
>Get the hang of it inmediately.
5D's gameplay was great overall.
I don't. 5 was too much.
Speaking of this game, what fight in particular gave you most trouble?
