The one problem is has in terms of talking about it this far after release is that there isn't much that begs theorycrafting. Like... Oh no, silence is still a bad guy. Hades isn't dead. That cliche ending is probably the worst part of the game.

I liked Overwatch, that's a western game. So was Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Excited to try Doom out on Friday. Sonic Mania was made by Westerners. So was Uncharted. And GTA V. Excited to play South Park, Wolfenstein and L.A Noire when I get my hands on them. Westerners can make great games

But literally every other game I've been interested in over the past few years was Japanese. Everything of Nintendo over the past 3 years was entirely by Japanese studios. Persona 5 and NieR Automata, the only non Switch games I've bought this year were Japanese. And I will be the first to admit they have their flaws. The Japanese studios I like have pumped out mediocre games like Sticker Star, New Super Mario Bros., ARMS, etc. but not nearly on the multitude and on the echelon of awfulness that Western developers do.

I for one can't wait for the dlc and I never fucking buy dlc,

I own both a PS4 and Switch. I've gotten the greats for both (Persona 5, nieR, uncharted and bloodborne for ps4 and every first party release for switch) and I can't see the appeal in this rotting anus of a game.

Because it's fun to just explore the world due to the great aesthetics imo, the lore and story is good but mostly for me I just like jumping in and experiencing it. Salvages stuff etc. I don't know how anyone could seriously suggest it's a bad game. I played Persona 5 and thought despite cool aesthetics it was boring due to it's extreme linearity but I can see it is clearly well made it's just not for me.

Most western AAA games sell most of their copies right away then drop off a cliff. Likely because they're usually shallow games that rely on story and presentation, so once the "WOW" factor wears off there's no substance to revisit and come back to or discuss.

I fucking like the game and i can admit there are SJW elements in it. Its no mistake that most/all of the men in the games are either idiots, wimps, or evil while all the females are strong reliable leaders.

That being said the core gameplay is still really fun. Especially combat vs big machines. The artstyle and environments are great too.
