how do you figure scars work into genetics

We

Well he's dead and abstergo is just using the dna they got to explore in the animus. The other subjects too

All of Desmond's ancestors save for Connor
>I think
Has a scar in the same exact spot as Desmond does.

i actually have the same scar as my father

it was tradition that ac protagonists in Desmond's line have a scar on their lip

FUCKING VIRAL MARKETERS

they have genetically weaker flesh on the right side of their mouths that would break and scar easily?

ezio got his when what's his face threw rock to his face

The thing about that though was that they didn't just have his scar. They also had his face. There was actually some reason for that that I don't remember.

It doesn't, it's just a visual cue they do. Also, Ubisoft's treatment of genetics has always been pretty nonsensical.

...

The face looks similar enough that that's probably what they're going for. Have any of the protagonists NOT been an ancestor of Desmond?

...

Something about animus bleed and Desmond imposing his own face on his memories.

I thought Bayek canonically never had kids or some shit like that? They just used the DNA in his mummified body for more animus adventures. Nothing to do with Desmond.

Does it even fucking matter?

Desmond is dead, and the entire plot is raped to all hell. The game series wont even have an ending. Itll judt get cancelled one day.

Desmond liked to self-insert. That’s literally it.

>AC1 to brohood
>they all have the same face
>revelations
>all three of them look different

Biggest fuck up ever, killing off Desmond.

The bleed effect only affected people while outside the animus if they stayed in it too long. It didn't work backwards.

This. There was such great buildup in the trilogy leading up to 3, and then it just made a wet fart. Aside from Star Ocean 3 I've never seen a more disappointing game plot twist.

Explained away as a better version of the Animus sorting things out. Also why Altair has a different voice and accent in Revelations.

Killing Desmond was a mistake. All the anti-modern faggots got the shitty storyline they deserved, and now we all lose.

Desmond is definitely part mooly

Just a way to tie the MCs together.
The important people amongst the Assassins have a scar on their lips.
Much like Cain has a scar to ensure he is recognised.

Well yes. He is the chance meeting of many bloodlines. The one person with the most Precursord DNA in the world.
Literally the chosen one.
They proved in AC3 that they did not know how to handle modern day AC gameplay.

Pic related is the worst plot twist I've ever fucking seen. Such an anti climactic ending.

I saw it coming when Desmond’s death scene played out. I realized they did this to prolong the storyline and suck the cash cow dry. The fact that they confirmed a fucking pirate game literally only 4 months after AC3 released only confirmed to me that they stopped giving a shit and no longer had any idea what to do with the storyline.

it's not even that hard to undo it. desmond died connected to the machine so just have him be digitized by it instead of full on killed and when he let digital juno or whatever out he was locked in to replace her. they haven't even continued that story for all i know, i know they went into a little in black flag though.

anyway have him be digital and then one of the abstergo assassin's spies who you play as will be overwritten by desmond and he'll be back good as new.

Everyone saw it coming from a thousand miles away. Though that's not the ending.

Is it good? IMO BF isn't that good and my favorite are 2 and Brohood

Wait, that was the twist? When the antagonist was revealed that's literally everybody's first guess as to his identity, back in 2014.

Is your father's name Scar, by chance?

Wuz

Remember when they were saying Assassins Creed 3 would be the last game in the series?

Pretty sure they actually went for that in some way.
Actually the twist is
>its the Joker, again

If you liked the peak of the series (2 and BHood) then you’ll hate this. It’s catered more for the pirate faggots who have a hard on for adventures.

He has a son now. And said son is a Sage.

really? how. i honestly lost interest after black flag so i don't know what's happened. i played a bit of unity but that game really killed the franchise for me, i haven't touched any of the others.

I'm enjoying it, but this is a whole different beast to previous AC games.

The social stealth is completely cut out, it's now 100% based on line of sight. There's straight up a leveling system, weapons loot system, quest system, and so on.

Retarded shitposters

But is the adventure aspect good? I didn't liked BF since the plot isn't that great, the characters isn't that charming, and the pacing is godawfully slow. The gameplay is also ruined by the pacing, since the neat things are acquired later on. I don't mind the ship gameplay other than the fact how repetitive (but who am I kidding, I'm playing an Assassin's Creed game) and the ship tailing missions. In comparison, I really liked Rogue because the shorter, get-to-the-point pacing.

So it's more like an action adventure game sets in Egypt?

I honestly stopped caring enough to continue playing the series when Black Flag was leaked. Killing Desmond left a sour taste in my mouth and I was not happy about the direction they were going. After that, I just read summaries on the different plots in the games, but I was honestly more invested in the present day story. Too bad Origins does fuck all to continue it.

I think that there was something with a piece of him swapping out with Juno.
So between his DNA being passed around, his son being a Sage and all, I think he might still exist after a fashion. I may be misremembering tho.

>jawlines will last through 6 thousand years of breeding

ubisoft is this retarded

AC has become more and more about historical tourism, along with an excuse plot and diversity after 3. Since the actual plotline is done.

Yeah. It's closer to Far Cry with a bit of Zelda/souls combat and Witcher style quests.

If you're hankering for an open world to go explore though, this is a fucking good one. Like, everything from movement to story range from meh to decent, but the world/map design is fucking incredible.

>he's dead
Desmond is alive, but in suspended animation.

Seems neato. I wish I could pirate it.

>scars are genetic
fucking dumb shit nu-Sup Forums

>Origins punishes you for killing cats
Kek. This is a good thing.

KANGZ

Speaking of, how the fuck do you pet em? I keep seeing pics of people petting cats with thousands of likes in the world map, but I can't for the life of me figure out how.

Desmond is literally a mongrel

Is this confirmed?

It wouldn't be surprised if they did something like this though.

I didn't even know you could

...

So did they actually decide to go with the "Desmond has a secret kid that we just decided to make relevant 2 games after we killed him off" thing?

Yes.

AND

Sneak near a cat, and he'll do it automatically. It's pretty random though.

He's still just a comic thing. And having your debut in a comic for AC means you can only appear in the games as a shitty miniboss devoid of character.

He's cited in a database in Syndicate

>tfw the Juno plotline was relegated to the comic book series
Literally what the fuck is even the point of the modern story in Origins anymore?

...

No, its implied his conscious may still be in the Animus however.

As far as his body, AC 3 turned him into fucking bacon in the end when he channeled whathisname

Abstergo goons also cut him open, so his original body is fucked even without being bacon.

I think AC games generally don't have good endings.

I thought Origins' protagonist was black?

For what fucking purpose? Wasn't Desmond like 24 when he died and isn't the kid like 12?

Did they regret killing him off or something? That's just so hamfisted.

AC1, AC2, and BH all had hype endings though.
Sure, I got real pissed at the end of each of them, but the cliffhangers were some of my favorite experiences of the series. It made me angry, but also excited for the next entry.
Revelations ending was solid, but AC3’s ending only made me hate the series. AC4 and beyond were just shit because I stopped giving a fuck and I thought the idea of “me” being the protagonist was fucking stupid. Every game that does this is just shit to me. ACO finally gave me a named modern protag again, but the modern story is literally just a tiny dot in the overall game so I wasn’t really invested in it.

Except for the fact that we literally got to see the moment in Ezio's life where he received his scar

Altair is up in the air though

>he didn’t like the ending in Brotherhood where Desmond kills Lucy
How can you hate that? That twist was batshit insane to me and I loved every second of it.

AC2's ending is the first time I remember echoing the MC and going "What the fuck?????"

AC3 ruined the series for me and I haven't bought a ubisoft game since

fuck ubisoft

Dumbass.

Yes and yes. Ubisoft realized they fucked up by catering 95% of the content to the dumb part of the fanbase. They twisted the storyline after AC3 ended, but by the end of Syndicate they realized they made a huge mistake by completely removing Desmond and tried to figure out ways to bring him back without making it sound too retarded. Yes, bringing him back would be an asspull but it’s their fault for listening to the retards.

EY WASSA MATTAH YOU ALTAIR

>Connor

He has one.

Yes Bayek is related to Desmond as they all are be it the smallest amount of D.N.A

Wasn't the point that Desmond was part of the bloodline/group that was said to lack the neurotransmitters that allowed the Ancient Aliens to control them? So why was he able to be controlled enough to shank Lucy?

>WE WUZ DESMOND AN SHIEEET

I mean couldnt they say that they actually were able to utilize the research that involved Aita and put him into a body since apparently he's just floating around in the animus?

No? Where’d you get that from? Any human could be controlled by the Apple except for the people like Juno and Minerva. Those 2 weren’t really even human. Desmond had first civilization blood in him, but all he was able to get from it was eagle vision.

How much of a mess is the story in Origins? I stopped playing at AC4 just because I barely knew what was going on.

What's even going on in the modern day part of AC games any more?

Action button (Y/triangle), it also serves to pet the eagle when she's in your arm

Fucking Ubisoft and snake jumpscares fucking shit.

Desmond is human. The precursors are an entirely different species from humans. Desmond does have the blood of precursors, but he is not at all the same species as the precursors. He is more like a hybrid, but ultimately still just a human, which is why he can be controlled.

Seeing as how every Assassin we've seen has been related to Desmond, I wouldn't be surprised if Bayak was related to Desmond in someway. Also Desmond did have darkish skin, he probably had some Egyptian ancestors in him. Ezio was Italian though, and Connor was Native American.

>implying Black Flag didn't have an amazing ending too
And I thought the game for the most part was mediocre.

youtu.be/hQ2E5ibu5UM?t=7m52s

>I haven't bought a ubisoft game since
But Ubisoft has published some good games in the 5 yr span since AC3.
Mainly Rayman Legends, Black Flag, Mario + Rabbids, Child of Light, South Park: The Stick of Truth and Watch Dogs 2. Everything else is shit though, although I haven't played Origins or South Park 2 yet.

DID they ever say who Arno and the twins were related too. Loved Unity, it would suck if Arno was just some random. I mean with all the girls Ezio fucked in his travels one had to be french.

Sup Forums belongs to them now.

WE

Yeah, not to deny that they have made good games in the years since, I was just incredibly burned by how bad AC3 was

I was extremely excited for it and sold it at a loss the next day. I'm still pissed

I'm pretty sure Desmond was made to look as racially ambiguous as possible so they could fuck around with all the different eras.

>Where'd you get that from.
I thought that was the whole "point" of Adam and Eve, they broke away because of that.

BF was mediocre, if you play the games for being an assassin. The assassin segments in BF are the worst in the series. Just a bunch of tail and listening missions. Most fans that started with AC1/2 give the game a lot of shit for that aspect.

Juno/Desmond plotline was moved to the comics. They’re setting up pieces to just start a new arc from scratch in the modern day. There’s not a whole lot going on in the modern story, but the only highlight is that we get a new named, playable protagonist and we meet William Miles, but that’s really it. Not much else happens.

the absolute worst part of BF was whenever it tried to be AC. it would have been great as a standalone pirate game

Unity actually tried to change that. Unity is severely underrated, shame that it's the black spot of recent entries because of bugs. I'll take it over Syndicate or Far Cry: Origins any day.
