Earn $5 hour for 8 hour work

>earn $5 hour for 8 hour work
>mfw a single game would cost me one day salary
>90% goes if salary goes to the rent Jew, food and bills
>game companies still wonder why people pirate

Believe me I would buy games if I could afford them. But why don’t they just price games depending on a country’s average wage? $40 in America is like a small fortune in countries like eastern Europe and Asia

either leave the third world country you live in or get a better job.

Fucks sake I'm pretty sure gold farming in Runescape makes more money than $5 an hour.

Why don't you earn more?

>but they wouldn't give me my money back!
>they said THEY wanted it!

even if i was the richest man in the world i still wouldnt buy ea and ubishit

Maybe you wouldn't have such a problem if you didn't work for below minimum dumbass.

They do, but your country probably isn't considered relevant enough to make a company research you and determine a good price.

Plus American communists would just go and buy your cheaper games anyway because Americunts love to LARP as poor people.

You have my sympathies OP, but seeing how low hour wages are in some countries make me glad I draw porn on the internet for USD

>>mfw a single game would cost me one day salary

So what? How many video games a year do you need to buy? You are an enormous fucking brat.

>$40 in America is like a small fortune
Good one OP you fucking poorfag piece of shit
,maybe you shoulda dedicated yourself to something and studied more

>game companies still wonder why people pirate
Why do you think things should be priced just so you can afford them? That isn't how it works, you save up for the things you want to buy.

>complains about $5 an hour
nigga, in my country $3.5 an hour is considered good wtf

so this...... is the power..... of American education...... wow.....

>Made shit wages when I was a teen
>Was forced to deal with literal poverty-tier bullshit like living off of $500 a month and had to get a roommate
>Worked and worked, pulled myself up by my fingers until nothing left but bone
>Realized I didn't want to live this life and buckled down
>Went back to school, applied for grants and scholarships
>Busted fucking ass at my job, got a new job, busted ass there, made my way through the ranks
>Ditched the roommate because he was a huge cunt anyways
>Now making $17/hr while getting a sweet $10k a semester in grants and scholarships with med school just around the corner
>Just bought a new car

You either make it or break it. You have the power to make things better and have to be headstrong enough to do it.

I’m from Bangladesh and $1 an hour is the standard we pay our employees

Im a canadian engineer making 120ky,alls i do is approve schematics in my own house

Federal minimum wage in USA is $7.25. You can't be paid less than this unless you live in an absolute shit state that has sub clauses for it.

No you didn’t stop lying on the internet

amazing how an engineer can lack simple reading comprehension

Explain

Maybe your too poor to play the big name games?

I mean, I would love to live in a big house, but I cant afford one with my current salary, so will have to live without unless I can start making more.

>$40 in America is like a small fortune in countries like eastern Europe and Asia
40 USD is lot in poorer countries, but retailers often don't balance these prices accordingly

I assume he meant in lieu of actual expenses, because otherwise it's pretty much the case with any job.
I earn roughly $120 a day after tax. But more than half of that goes to insurance, gasoline, food, rent, bills, etc.
OP, you're entitled as fuck if you legitimately think games need to cost less.

What does that have to do with american education,me being an engineer and me saying that 40$ is chump change regardless of region

>I'm a fat lazy neet with an extremely ambiguous and easily exploited """"""""""""disorder"""""""""""", there's no way anyone else could possibly have a better life than me

Yeah I did nerd, fucking go outside sometime

To be fair, by the time you balance wages, inflation, and currency values, almost every first-world country is identical.
Only third-world shitheaps get the raw deal. But they've got more important things to worry about, like government corruption, cartels, rapists, looting, etc.

because you instinctively quoted "$40 in America is like a small fortune" completely changing the context of the words, I assume only an american could be this retarded but I guess Canadians can be too, and I'm amazed that someone as thick as shit like yourself managed to become an engineer

>can't afford one video game
>can afford to uproot his life and move to a different country
Rly makes u think

hes right you know

And i thought i have it bad with my 13€/h

I dont know what you want me to write you man
40$ is a poor mans fortune, thats that you stupid retard

Can we talk about regional pricing outside NA/EU ?

Why do certain publishers try to inflate their price from what Steam has already set? Like 40%-50% higher (and in cases of 2K, Beth, Ubi, 100%)?
Don't they know the REASON why those prices exist?

>40$ is a poor mans fortune
yes that is the point, some countries are poor, well done, you managed to get there in just over 30 posts

I made $3/hour more than you doing unskilled labor at Harley Davidson. If that doesn't make you realize the economy is shit and unfair for the average person, you're too far gone.

$5 an hour? not a burger but is that even legal?

some countries don't have minimum wage
some FIRST WORLD countries don't have minimum wage

>because you instinctively quoted "$40 in America is like a small fortune" completely changing the CONTEXT of the words

I dont get it,are you and me just agreeing with OP because i never,i dont even.
go to sleep you high fuck

In USA, yes that's illegal. Federal minimum wage 7.25, and only under some very weird restrictions in a small number of states is it legal to have your wage be less than federal minimum wage.

Goddamn, you're fucking dumb.

I fucked up on loans when I was 17. I'm 55k in debt, paying 700 a month, with like 8 years to go.

I got my bachelors of science and I run the xray dept on 3rd shift for more money, but I'm just spinning my tires. I make the same amount I spend each month. I'm single, I've got no money, and I'm miserable. I live in a shitbox apt, and I drive a '95 that leaks power steering fluid like a bastard.

I'm applying for a job at a different hospital. Right now I'm making 26 an hour for 32 hours a week, there I'd be making 30 for 40 hours a week. It could mean the difference between me getting drunk and walking out into a blizzard this winter, and having a life and maybe starting anew.

>save up shekels
>only buy hacked consoles/hackable consoles
Problem solved.

I make 25 dollars an hour sitting at a reception desk browsing Sup Forums and the state pays for my university.

>You either make it or break it.
Bullshit. I did nothing to deserve my objectively better life than yours just as you did nothing to deserve your objectively better life than some third world shitter.

It takes a village to raise a child.

migrate to Europe
also pirate everything, even free games

No you didn't. Quit lying on the internet.

If you make absolutely no payments on a debt for several years, they have to declare it a loss. Your credit will be ruined worse than a bankruptcy, but it's an option.

>Everyone is a physicist waiting to happen who just hasn't had a chance to spread their wings! There is NO SUCH THING as people being lazy or abusing systems!!

No

I live in buttfuck nowhere Indiana and we have homeless shelters that let you shower and borrow suits for job interviews, you can get food stamps and unemployment if you are willing to put in a little bit of effort, and the problem is that nobody fucking wants to.

Explain to me in five sentences or less what structural unemployment is.

If you can't do this I am going to ignore every post you make.

>But why don’t they just price games depending on a country’s average wage?

Because it's 2017 and everyone would easily be able to buy out an entire country's stock of a title before it actually hits store shelves. The cheapest countries would never have copies for their own civilians.

now you got him, there's no way the average joe knows how to use google

>renting with a job below minimum wage
I know this is bait but come on.

I think they'd garnish my wages, and just take the 700 straight out of my paycheck with a 200 dollar fee slapped on top.

Im not really going to kill myself, though. Because if I did, my debt would go to my parents.

I did take out a life insurance policy that would cover it, though.

Okay,im wrong,youre right.

The point isn't whether or not he knows what it is, the point is to enter it into the discussion as a topic.

lots of people come from broken families

You're a fucking moron spreading facebook-tier bullshit.

My friend's mom is one of those fucking morons who gets like twenty credit cards and maxes them all out while declaring bankruptcy every five years or so and they finally dragged her ass through the ringer and sued her for everything she had.

What't the point of that minimum wage law then?

If they only supplied the singular voice option per country, maybe it would work. However, that would mean less money.

If everybody was rich, nobody would be rich. Not everybody can make it big. It's mostly luck. I'm lazy as fuck and ended up making more than you.

They can't do that. Only the government can.

>claims to have studied enough to be an engineer
>types his posts like an absolute retard

Nice education, kid.

Is that why so many Russians still play Counter Strike?

I think half my loans are from the government.

That's not even close to the same thing.

This whole threads a bait thread

And this whole board is a bait board.

Fuck off we already have too many brown parasites here as it is.

t. first world

>this the type of person to spam PC master race
what's your pc build anyway

I know you're talking out of your ass. Unless you went to UofT and cozied up to an exec on Bay St there is no chance you're making 120k starting no matter what type of eng you studied. You're making 70k max and that's if you're lucky.

A single game costs me 4 days of work and I don't pirate. I never buy full-price as well.

Kill yourself.

>tfw want a good paying job but don't want to waste time on the college jew

Get a trade. Fixing air conditioners will net you close to 300 an hour in some cases.

>Fixing air conditioners will net you close to 300 an hour in some cases.

He's confusing how much you charge the customer with how much you get paid.

I'm billed at 550 an hour but half of that goes directly to the company, not to me, and some of my cut goes to my 'supervisor'.

>i have literally never looked into moving at all

literally just steal enough for a plane ticket

>Tfw learning carpentry
>Working with dad making 10$ an hour

The thing I hate about it is that it makes life feel pointless.

You don't have to talk to anyone, but the problems you do solve are terribly simple, and you do it over and over.

Welcome to life. Unless you can get $100k to learn something harder, you're stuck with idiots. You'll eventually learn they think those problems are hard too.

well obviously im not a fucking STARTING engineer and ive invested heavily in diamond mining drills in nunavut.

>idiot "engineer" gets btfo

kek I really hope you're just shitposting and you're not really this stupid

>Summer comes around
>Everyones air con breaks
>You make out that you are super busy so you charge them 150+ for a minor fix because of call out fees

If you work for a company which installs large air cons and maintains them they also get you to do interstate work which adds either huge hours in overtime or extra wages.

Just like if you are an electrician, you get 50 bucks for putting a light switch half the time. Which is actually $10 for supplies (if that), 10 minutes of labor. So your job for that day is rock up, tell them "yeah I guess" and give them a rant about how studs are going to make this harder, go pop up to the shop and get a chocolate milk, come back with the "equipment" and then charge $35/h for labor (more if it is a rich area) and then $15 for (parts). All finished in about 30-40 minutes and head off to the next spot.

It's so fucking easy to start your own business. If you are a blue collar worker with a "supervisor" then you are actually fucking retarded. The most you ever do for someone else is subcontract out or get paid to do extremely niche work which again highly paid. Then even with that last one you get them to pay you for training which costs 1000's and the jump to another company for an extra 15k a year.

>You will never go down the poop-shoot in nunavoot

>It's so fucking easy to start your own business.
But 80% of all small businesses eventually go under. Starting your own business is pretty much suicide.

>If you are a blue collar worker with a "supervisor" then you are actually fucking retarded.
I'm a solicitor.

>It's so fucking easy to start your own business
Harder to keep it open.

So you got yourself into debt to get a better wage but I'll be paying that debt for the rest of your life so all that hard work was for nothing but debt

>Just do sub-contracting, bro
>You'll get all of your work by word of mouth, and you'll be rich!

It's best to just get in with a company and have steady work.

>40$ is chump change regardless of region
Thats objectively wrong.

Carpentry is a pretty good chill job my man. Think of it this way, having that trade is going to be fantastic for job security. You can branch out from that if you want and use your tools to make avant garde bedside tables for rich hipsters at 4k a pop after you slap some dark stain on or learn to mold a bit of acrylic with it.
Then you can also use that money to have a secure footing while you head to a college with carpentry jobs keeping you afloat. Then once you finish your degree you have life skills and understand a days work. I see so many engineers and other people fresh from college who are so green because they don't understand the world and recruiters will recognise this.

Just put in the effort man and you will come out fine. Life isn't easy but it goes smoothly if you plan accordingly.

>all that work for 17/hr
you could just push carts around at costco for like 14 an hour

>reading comprehension

A country's minimum wage is -usually- tied to its cost of living, so countries with high minimum wages usually have retarded living costs

>Tfw everyone wants to ruin my beautiful skin

I'll never take a job like that if I have to stand in the sun 24/7.

1/5? Fuck man those are good odds. I'm happy to be part of that 20% then. I'd still be fighting if the odds were 1%. Plus I'm sure if you take into account those stupid meme businesses then the odds are much more likely to be in your favor. You can quit before you even start but sounds like a good way to be a loser in life tbqh.

It isn't hard to manage your own business. At all. Sure if you setup to fail, don't branch out and don't put the effort in to establish yourself then yeah. If you aren't willing to travel for work you will also fail. Trying hard is part of life and if OP is complaining about getting $5-10 for doing mindnumbing shit then maybe a bit of struggle will make them enjoy it all especially when it pays off.

Don't get me wrong you should definitely start somewhere and use your time working for a company to establish your network, but taking a risk is perfectly fine because the pay off is so good. Those company jobs are a dime a dozen especially with everyone trying to get white collar jobs. Then you also do a bit of that contracting and side jobs, those side jobs turn in to full time gigs and then you are at the stage where you get a friend to work because you can't juggle all the work, then it's a business.

You guys sounds like you have set yourselves up to fail and just go through the motions in life. Sounds depressing as fuck.

this

>Make $560 a month because third world country
>Can afford games because Steam third world discount
Keeping overhead low by living with parents.
It's manageable, you just have to suck it up

I think you should post more pictures of Donald Duck, they were making your arguments really compelling.

>make $1000 a month in unemployment
>have job lined up making double that in a few months

He says 90% of the money goes to other things so he can only save up $40 every ten days.

OP's problem isn't that videogames cost money, it's that anything costs money. He's poor.

The issue with hoping for a side-job to turn into a full-time job is that if it quits you're fucked.

I've been in houses where it looked nice to work, but the home-owners had a failing marriage that was strained by spending so much money on me, so I had to stop working there before I got hurt in the process. Around 3 weeks after I quit, they divorced.

None of it is stable.
Side-work is generally a one-off deal, and you should treat it like what it is.

You don't pay grants and scholarships back you sperg. And if you have even the slightest grasp on how to save money you won't be paying off college debt long at all.

>It isn't hard to manage your own business.
Then why do between 80 and 90 per cent of them fail?

>"because those people are retarded"
At a certain point you need to stop pretending that something that most people cannot do is easy. That's not how a relative descriptor like easy or hard works.

>"but i did it and i found it easy"
Then why do you keep talking about how you're "trying hard" and your "struggle?" It's pretty clear that you don't even consider it easy yourself. The simple fact that you didn't even know that the vast majority of small businesses don't even last a year only goes to show how worthless, insular, and detached your "worldly experience" has proven to be.

>Trying hard is part of life
Only if you're bad at it. Some people are lucky enough to inherit copious intelligence and cruise through a state funded postgraduate law degree and land in a cushy upper-middle-class life through minimal effort. The difference between me and you is that I don't pretend the career path that was correct for me is equally correct for every other person on the planet - because I know that not everyone has my skills or my good fortune.
