Yea TMNT was way better imho.

It's not a proper Platinum game, it's a Yoko Taro game, a NieR sequel. The best things that Platinum brings to the table are smooth controls and lots of quality of life improvements. Also visuals that aren't eye-searing.

People think it's a game you can just pick up and start playing, and while that's not completely false, it's certainly not meant for people like that.
I played the first Nier on ps3 and got all the endings, and I have to admit that Autamata would be pretty trash without having experienced the first one.

The only thing you miss from not play Nier is knowing who Emil, Popola and Devola are. I know because I didn't play Nier until after Automata. The Emil scenes still have a lot of impact, but Popola and Devola blocking the front of the tower was confusing until I played Nier.

The first run really is pretty mediocre though, its still his fault though since he went in with false expectations. Its Nier with better gameplay, not a platinum game with better story.
