Is future tone worth getting? It's on sale on PSN, I'm just not sure what's different from the previous games.

It's harder and has way more songs (half of which are from all the mainline games). Also has multi notes where you hit more than one face button.

I've only played the Diva games on PSP and a bit of the last PS3 game. Is there any major differences aside from those? It looked like the background videos weren't as complicated, and that you don't have to unlock songs.

Been playing Future Tone since it came out. Still have no hope of clearing Intense Singing.

There are a few more differences than multis, yeah. Songs released in the game after 2013 have slide notes, which are similar to star notes where you flick/hold the sticks left or right. You can have hold notes which overlap other notes but you can drop holds without breaking your combo. In other words holds are more for scoring. The whole games in 60fps too so that's neat.
Some of the songs come from edit mode contests and Project mirai, so those ones have more simple PVs, but I wouldn't say they're all less complicated.
You're right in that you don't need to unlock songs, but to play a song on extreme you have to clear it on hard first.

Cool, sounds good. I'm at least grabbing the Bundle that has Future Sound and Colorful Tone.

Final question, is the season pass worth it? 12 songs for $16 seems pretty bad compared to the 220+ in the big bundle, even with additional costumes.

if your jonesing for some more difficult songs to beat then go for it, otherwise you can ignore its existence

I'd say it's worth it. It's four new songs, but each pack also has about 10 new Ex Extreme charts separate from that.

Like the above user said it comes with a few extra charts for older songs (which came out before slide notes) too. It's far from close to the value of the base two packs but it's not bad if you like the game.

Good to know for the future, but I think I'll hold off. I don't have a ton of experience so the Ex Extreme charts will probably be too hard for me now anyways. With so many songs to get started I'll just get the main bundle and eat the extra few dollars on the the Season Pass later if needed.

No problem. Just note that extra extreme is more of a sidegrade from extreme. Some songs get harder but they're usually around the same level as regular extreme charts. A few even get easier from extreme.

I can't think of any reason here in the States that you'd ever NEED to get rid of a tattoo. Even the military doesn't care as long as you aren't getting new tats while enlisted.

Don't want to get PDX, but PDX has a VR mode where you can watch some songs in VR.

Why cant future tone have a VR mode? I got Future Tone and the DLC. You cant play the game in VR anyway. Why cant I watch those songs in VR too?

Hmm, Google pulls up this, they have to be covered by the normal uniform. I guess you're fucked with the neck tattoo, but arms sound alright above the wrist. I didn't realize there were even this many restrictions, but it's mostly about not having anything obviously offensive. My friend is in the reserves and was talking about getting some tattoos say they relaxed the rules a couple years back.

As a result of these placement and visibility rules, tattoos and brands are not allowed on:

Your face
Your neck above the t-shirt line
Inside your eyelids, mouth or ears
Your wrists
Your hands
