I don't think that many people do that. They definitely do it, but there's not an egregious amount of people that ride its dick without playing it. I think plenty of fighting games have people like this though, seeing as they're hard to get into but fun to watch. That goes double for GG seeing as it has such good presentation.

Why do people do this anyways? I love Rev 2 and play it daily, but whenever I see someone mention it (usually to act superior to SFV players), and I ask them to play, they have less than 10 hours in the game or are total dogshit.

I played 3S comp in San Jose, CA area. I don't have to tell you some of the best comp came from that area. It was my favorite comp fighting game to this day...

People used to dickride GG pretty hard until one user came to a thread and pretty much blown the fuck out everyone.

By the last threads we had about GG we could conclude that everyone kinda hates the new mechanics and the newcomers. Some people have some real fucking problems with Leo, raven and Sin even though the pro-scene has quite the variety of characters and basically everyone went for GG because SF5 kinda sucks but they soon drop it because of a multitude of reasons.

It was honestly fucking sad to see those threads.

As someone who probably has about 1100 hours with all the GG games I've played and it's the single fighting game that completely changed my entire opinion on the genre. I think I can safely say I dis-a-fucking-gree.

A question for you: I've been practicing his strings and I can't hit them in fightcade 1 but for some reason I can get them pretty consistently in the beta fc2 client. Did they improve the timing of the emulator or something?

i cant even get vsav to run in FC2 so i cant help you there, but i did hear a while back FC2 was improving performance for various games.

No he was right about Venom. He's actually the character I use the rare times I play Xrd. Testament and Millia are faggots and I have no idea why he would choose a bunch of completely different playstyles after watching me juggle and bunch of beer bottles. GG bothers me because everything from aesthetic to audio to the control scheme to certain characters playstyles are obnoxious. It's just a game I can't stomach for long periods of time.

Keep working on it. He does do an obnoxious amount of damage, but he's probably one of least offensive newcomers in my opinion. I actually stopped playing him because he felt kind of linear. Personally, Raven or a good Chipp are a billion times more annoying to fight, so I just found it funny that Sin of all people was causing you so much grief.

It probably has some of the best tutorials of any fighting game so give it a shot. If you can find a friend around your level to play with, you'll improve pretty quickly.

After watching the replays i noticed i only ever hit the sin player because he purposely was fucking around and not refilling his bar. What are you even talking about? Some people take issue with some of the new mechanics and characters for sure, but the people who find that stuff game-ruining are the minority, they're a vocal minority, but they're still a minority. GG is still pretty well liked.
