Reviews are coming in fucking slow I just wanna shitpost with the metacritic already

Honestly why doesn't Sega just let whoever the fuck made Mania do Sonic games from now on?

>Shun Nakamura
>Denuvo
>Classic Sonic
>2.5D
>Hallway Level Design
>Spent entire budget on MLG character creation accessories

>>Denuvo
What exactly does Denuvo do that harms anyone other than pirates?

Sonic Team and their pride

Because they only make 2D Sonic, and 2D Sonic sucks.

Denuvo is a mini bitcoin miner

>reviewed by Chris Carter
That dude who wrote The X-Files?

>so desperate to shitpost, you take the word of Polygon

Pathetic

Yup.

It doesn't even harm pirates, it gets cracked in less than a week 100% of the time and no one who wants to pirate cares about waiting 7 days to play it for free.

>Because they only make 2D Sonic, and 2D Sonic sucks

>Polygon
You might be blind.

Sega of Japan doesn't like it when Gaijins beat them out.

>It doesn't even harm pirates, it gets cracked in less than a week
And without Denuvo it gets cracked in a nanosecond like it happened today with Nioh, if you can even call that "cracking".

Wasn't Sonic 2 or 3 only made because of a Gaijin?

Nearly every single Denuvo game had problems. It adds nothing and makes modding near impossible.

Moreover, its failing to do what its meant to do.

>It adds nothing

False, it adds delicious piratefag tears. Watching you parasites cry about AC:Origins is delightful.

Because Nioh had no DRM. I bought it anyways.

I'm not seeing what your point is. Do you think that the one week wait is actually getting people to buy the game? Because you might be retarded of you think that.

>Because Nioh had no DRM
that's basically what I said.

>I'm not seeing what your point is
It does harm pirates more than if there were no Denuvo.

It harms everyone, it's aggressive, borderline malware, online DRM. Pirates get the chance to bypass that shit.

I still don't know what does Denuvo even do to regular customers, people just keep spouting "it's bad".

>Sonic

There's your answer.

Mania was good though?

In 10 years you won't be able to play any of your Denuvo games legally because the servers for it shut down.
>B-BUT
The same people who made Denuvo also made Securom. Is securom still around?

>What went wrong?
MANIA TEAM WENT TROO FAR!

It encrypts the executable, it wastes performance by default and it must phone home periodically or it locks up, offline mode be damned.

>In 10 years you won't be able to play any of your Denuvo games legally because the servers for it shut down.
Do we know this for sure? Both the date and the fact that they won't do anything about it?

>finally you stupid pirates get what you deserved

>he says this in a thread about another shitty 3d sonic game
>gane is going to be cracked anyway
>pirates still wont play it

>A 5.5 is a "meh"

Yet they give AAA games that are "meh" an 8.5

Like?

A 5.5 to these people always means a broken unplayeable mess

What a fucking joke Forces is, seriously, if a Mario game came out and had that level of quality everyone on the fucking internet would be on Nintendo's throats

Mario Sticker Star got pretty slammed around here and still does to this day.

To Sup Forums anything below 8/10 is irredeemable trash.

Thats because reviewers always rate things on this lopsided scale. Anything below a 7 is unplayable, 8 is ok, 9 is good and 10 is great. It should be 5 is mediocre 8 is very good 3 is not very good etc. Thats why im asking why they are now calling a 5.5 mediocre

Destructoid's like that.

That's just a spinoff, user. We're talking about the mainline platformers, the games that actually matter

Wait, someone considers a 5.5 mediocre? Holy shit, that's fantastic! Most people look at 5.5 and think "it fucking sucks!"
