How did people first play this fucking game without wanting to claw their own fucking eyes out? I'm 15 hours in, even with a guide I feel like I have to completely restart this fucking game because I'm too underleveled. Goddamn this game is frustrating as fuck, REEEEEEE
How did people first play this fucking game without wanting to claw their own fucking eyes out? I'm 15 hours in...
You're most likely not underleveled.
g i t g u d s c r u b
>I'm too underleveled
you're not underleveled, you're just retarded
So what, should I restart? The only way I can kill the deathclaws before someone in my party gets killed first is if I cheese the game mechanics for 20 turns.
by not being retarded and learn from your mistakes.
played it for the first time a few months ago and beat it around 8 hours. i admit, it was hard to get into and i made some mistakes along the way but i beat it.
2 was more fun to play but holy shit, that game drags on if you let it.
>rpg's are cheap as fuck and suck ass
Yes, I was aware of this
>using companions in Fallout 1
Protip: Pull them one at a time, cripple their legs, kite them around taking potshots at their eyes. Or spam them to death with plasma grenades.
I played through that game no problem. You‘re probably retarded.
OP here, I guess I'm just retarded, gonna go back to playing New Vegas for the 8th time.
>too underleveled
You misspelled "underage"
I beat both games without a guide. Git gud.
>tfw I was at Mariposa base, initiated the autodestruction sequences, took the elevator and couldn't proceed because there was the green forcefield
How do you disable them without repair or science skill? I was completly stuck, I think I'll start a new game to finally finish the game in a few month
How is Fallout 2? I discovered Fallout with the 3 game but I really enjoyed the first one, even more than 3 and 4 but not as much as NV
this
Dynamite.
You need to not be dumb to play Fallout
So I guess too bad for you OP
>I'm 15 hours in,
shouldnt you have beaten the game by now? Fallout 1 is short as fuck
No need for explosive skill to pull it off? I might had 2 to time bomb at the time, but it wouldn't have been enough to destroy all the forcefield on the way to the exit
You either really suck or are literally retarded. I've beaten the game in about 10 hours and i never felt like i was underleveled or anything. No guides. And i wouldn't say i'm amazing at video games either.
Fallout hard
Dahoy
>I'm too underleveled
I thin you meant too underaged.
some you have to destroy, use keycards or turn it of from a computer terminal. other gates you can pass through but you will take damage doing so.
It's WHACKY and cuhraaazy and full of 90s memes. Very different in tone from 1, feels like a poorly written parody. I fucking hated it but some consider it to be the greatest Fallout game out there. Since you like NV so much it might be up your alley.
Nope.
I find this amusing because I played Fallout for the first time literally yesterday and gave up because I felt it was too easy. Just a couple hours into the game I managed to get the water chip and pretty much one or two-shot every normal enemy with absurd criticals. The only enemies I found remotely challenging were the mutants I fought in Necropolis since I was only level 4, but I could just take cover behind a truck and picked them off easily.
>REEEE usage
>15 hours in; still shitting it up.
Just be honest with us and tell us you specced low into fucking Agility and Intelligence like that last retard that did it except he was better than you because he fucking beat the game [/spoiler
I only had trouble with the very first Deathclaw, I tried to use a timebomb against it but it triggered Dogmeat to attack me and almost killed Ian
Then I just used the combat shotgun and aimed for the head/eyes
The game is a bit to easy with the right stat, if you pump agility and get the perks that reduce the cost of Action Points, you are the king of the game. I cleaned up the Khans camp with the 10mm SMG, it was fun and I got tons of loot
I killed all the deathclaws last time when I was around 9th or 10th level. My recommendation is getting the sniper rifle, and shooting them in the eyes/legs. You do not want to fight more than one at a time. If you pull more than one, reload, since you're gonna die anyway.
There's also a plasma pistol in the sewers in Necropolis. It may be helpful if you have some points in Energy Weapons. Which you should put some points into, because the turbo plasma rifle is the highest average damage per action point weapon in the game.
Try a 1 int and charisma build. Your new found special points will go great to make a powerful character. Plus you get easier interactions with NPC's for being so dumb. They practically tell you where to go.
