BotW or Odyssey?

so, i'm going to get a switch today, but i don't really know what should I get first.. Zelda BotW or SM Odyssey? What you guys think? Tell me your opinion and maybe argue it 'cause I'm getting srsly crazy-

well everyone is playing Odyssey right now so its more relevant. But BOTW is definitely the better game and arguably one of the best games this gen.

Jesus christ, I've had ONE game for my Switch for like 3 fucking months now and I still can't afford to get the others I want yet due to moving house and what not.

if you have to pick, I'd say go with Odyssey. it has more pizazz and gets fun fast, while zelda is a much slower-paced game.

Odyssey is short, maybe 15-20 hours and the end game content is mostly a retread of what you did before, BoTW can go for 120 hours easily with new content all the time.

Both are good but if you're strapped for cash the one that lasts longer is probably going to be a better buy

If you liked Ocarina more than Mario 64, BOTW. If you liked Mario 64 more than Ocarina, Mario Odyssey.

honesty you cant go wrong either way desu just flip a coin to decide which to buy now heads for mario tails for zelda and then next time around buy the one you didnt buy this time imo

I'm a huge Zelda fanboy but I haven't played BOTW yet. Got a Switch a week ago with SMO and I am absolutely blown away by it. Would definitely recommend getting that first. Although BOTW would most likely be amazing as well.
It's literally 11/10 in the fun I get from it. And I usually don't even like Mario games.

So I'm 40 hours into botw and already beat all 4 divine beast and have collected every armor set besides the guardian armor and that one you need all the shrines for. Did I got too fast or are most people just 100%ing this game?

Flip a coin, they're both great games I can't even decide which one is my GOTY.

I took even longer since I played without the radar.

Play Odyssey now. Then get the Zelda deluxe edition next year that includes all DLC.

Mario is a Comfy Collectathon (Open world platformer)
Zelda is a perfect example of a Adventure game

Its up to you and what you are looking for in a game.

Zelda will last you much, much, much longer.

it's what you make of it, that's the beauty of the game. I personally went for all the shrines before touching the beasts and kind of regretted it since they were a cake walk by that point. However the rest of the time was spent just dicking around hyrule having fun just getting lost

open level what ever nigger. its basically how collectathon style games differ from objective based platformers.
