If it gets released this decade

>is Deep Down going to be a game?

ftfy

Too bad it's going to be released on PS4 only.

Just like Nioh amirite

Yeah, what's the deal with that? Why being all smug and shit about "my game is a PS exclusive", to finally 6 months later realize that they are only screwing themselves by not releasing it on PC too, in the first place.

deep down, you know it'll never get released

I like that combat, but it kind of looks like the player isn't dodging or blocking in any way but just relying on spacing?

Came here to post thisThey didn't showed anything about it since like 4 years. Noone knows why, the reception was pretty good. Maybe Capcom doesn't have enough money for it anymore.

But maybe they just didn't wanted to compete with Souls similar visuals and we might see something about it since Souls is finished.

>but it kind of looks like the player isn't dodging or blocking in any way but just relying on spacing?
sounds ideal. sick of the dark souls giant i-frame roll garbage that everyone is peddling out these days

It seems like a melee focused resident evil, like how you have to aim your attacks and the enemies react differently based on which part of their body you hit.

You don't need iframes, just some way to play defensively. How'd you do a no-hit run in that game for example?

It's the only thing I considered a PS4 for, so good for me it's never ever
truly it had a GOAT aesthetic though, that fucking armor is wonderful, thats how games medieval fantasy games should style their shit
Those 15th century kniggas knew what was up

Why would you need to have the possibility to do a no-hit run in the first place

It could be, but maybe they finally put their shit together and finish the game?

>deep down
>is

It's just an example. I don't want to have to tank hits. Maybe you need to attack on their arms as they are attacking? I can't quite see if that works

>Dragon's dogma was an unfinished mess and never getting a sequel
>Deep Down doesn't exist
Fuck.

It's probably been moved to PS5

Sony are set on their releases for PS4 for the next 2-3 years, Deep Down clearly isn't one of them

use a shield?

This, the gaming industry has a fucking obsession with dodge rolls snd it's rudiculous. I like spacing and strafing, just have some more subtle dashes and side steps in games. And if you really have to have a dodge roll, make it have a lot of end lag so it's not your primary defense.

dark souls' autistic cousin

>Capcom doesn't have enough money
Lol no, it's just that Capcom hates losing even a bit of money that's why they hesitate on new IPs and if they do create a new IP they have unrealistic expectations for it sales wise.

Metal gear rising didn't had dedicated dodge button either. You just parried light hits and you had enough time to move away from unblockables. In dmc (without a royalguard or trickster style) you just have to hit the enemies before they hit you to stun them, it's all positioning and careful targeting.

not every game needs to have a dodge button to make a no-hit run available

hate to break it to you buddy but mgr had a dodge move with invicibility frames

it was called defensive offense or somthing and you had to buy it first.

>Capcom hates losing even a bit of money that's why they hesitate on new IPs

that's not true at all, Capcom creates a fucking lot of new IP's compared to other big developers, they only slowed down in the last 5 years but they slowed down in every regards. Less games being made in general, less marketing, their games have smaller budget etc. that's why it is likely that they are short on money currently.

They are also the kind of company that doesn't save up a lot of money but spends it constantly on developing their next games (Ono said a lot of times when they didn't currently had money for something or when will they have). However lot of their games underperformed recently.

Aside from graphix the game never looked impressive nor fun to me. I miss Panta Rhei Engine more.

I don't understand why people are still so obsessed about this "game".

Everything we saw basically just looked like a playable tech demo. It's very likely they had a hard time turning it into a proper game.

wasn't that some counter attack move? It wasn't a straight forward dash/roll away to a direction but a jump back then counter attack instantly move. Not like it was "must use" move either, you could avoid hits with more basic moves.

>I miss Panta Rhei Engine more.

It's called the RE engine now.

>Souls is finished

Hows being out of the loop going for ya?

So they will release more Souls games?

You could try some similar games meanwhile.

DaS3 was confirmed for being the last DaS by the devs.

Was the last bit of news in 2015?

Well, sort of...

This is from 2017:

It's not dead, it seems.

I hope so. The 2013 trailer is certainly GOAT.

I'm going to guess it: Deep Down has become Dragon's Dogma 2, it will be the next game from Itsuno.

Screencap this post.

what did he mean by this

nothing, probably

That game is like trying to make Dark Souls but forgeting everything about what actually makes Dark Souls fun.
