Right here.
NFS s dead since 2010.

You mean undercover? Or maybe most wanted? Wait, you must be talking about underground 2. Well i was never near Sup Forums that time, you?

I was dumb enough to buy the game that killed it...

Undercover was good, faggots.

I remember playing with motion controls on wii. That was actually pretty cool using the wiimote as a gas pedal.

Playing the game post-2015 NFS failed to be.

Is a light 7 really that bad though

>Last good game in the series
>At least some story and not a whore girl
Of course there was SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPE
SHIF
TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
in mw, but MW was too long and boring.

Ost was godlike, i still listen to ghosts, fire and some other songs, but most importantly the godlike innerpartysystems track was there.
the game was unoriginal dumb shit desu.

>arcade racers are dead
take your wheel and shove it up your ass

GOAT soundtrack

Is there a new nfs already? I remember that even the shitty ones had a massive follow back then

I guess you could say that development of this game didnt payback

NFSU2's soundtrack was just too bland in comparison, you feel me?

Nigga the last good NFS was Underground 2

last good NFS game

This didn't kill it. The series died after Pro Street. I remember the Dodge Viper being so fast and utterly uncontrollable in that game. Like a rocket car with a jar lid covered in mayonnaise for a steering wheel.

71/100 would be a C- in school

you mean high stakes

You mean Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2.

I got the fever for the flavour of it, ooh yeah!

>20fps with framerate dips in a racing game
>good

>QTEs in a racing game
what's her name Sup Forums

...

Do anyone else liked the Era-mode in NFS Porsche Unleashed?.

This

Speaking of which, didn't that game have a dynamic soundtrack? I thought that was pretty cool.

Also, you could do backflips when driving Viper.

its called NFS payback because you get payed back when you refund it
i tried

Carbon and even Undercover to some extent were okay. Not awesome, not even good, but bearable. Shift was fucking simcade, not even NFS game.
Everything past them was pure absolute shit, if you ever considered something like The Run or HP'2010 as a good game, you should literally end yourself, because with taste like that one day you just gonna eat some hot streaming dog shit in the middle of the street and die from intoxication, so better do that now.

Can they just remake NFS 3?

NFS underground was my shit as a kiddo. The first and second were lots of fun.

Last one I played was most wanted was OK.

Nearly got this because trailers/I like the tuna here

Fucking glad I didn't.

HP2010 captures the spirit of early NFS titles you pedestrian.

no it wasn't, you could have made every turn while going 250 km/h and never even slowing down

I liked ProStreet I know the asian guy hating you was stupid

IGN gave Payback a fucking 5.9, it has to be not fun to play.

Undercover was pretty cool imo

They can. As an Android game. With shitload of microtransactions.

Carbon wasn't so bad because of how much more freedom you had in visiual tuning of your cars, but pic rel is my favourite and the last really good for me.

>Nearly got this because trailers/I like the tuna here

You're retarded if the trailers got you hyped instead of instantly turned off.

Is it so hard to ask for a good arcade racer with real cars? Mario Kart, Fast RMX, and Redout are fine, but sometimes I want that with regular cars doing crazy stunts and flying around at 200+ MPH.

>you customize your car's performance with cards opened from loot boxes

I tried Payback on that EA Origin. The story is pretty daft, it's got some "racing gambling" illuminati plot and the main character seems daft.
>He's betrayed by some lass in the racer illuminati
>He then joins their fixed race and wins it when he wasn't supposed to for revenge
>gets chased around the city by the RL trying to kill him,
>Tells his boss who also wants revenge he doesn't want to help him
> Goes home and is surprised when the RL blow his fucking house up trying to kill him
> Just goes and works with the boss and his old crew

Tried Blur yet?

Is Hot Pursuit 2010 a good game?

Pro Street's Speed races were fantastic.

...but 71 for a modern NFS is great? I really don't know what people could expect nowadays from an NFS. Surprised it even exists knowing EA and their expectations.

It's 50% Burnout, 50% Nfs.

Probably still in primary school, I don't remember when Underground came out. Why do you ask?

Man, Blur (and Split/Second) were fantastic. Why can't we have nice things like that anymore?

It tries, but the original NFS games were about more than just 'exotic cars in expensive locales,' you had the 10/10 soundtracks, the individual and detailed car showcases (and not just exotics, given there was at least one Transmarobird in most every game), the super-slick interface that somehow feels more futuristic than a modern game despite being twenty years old.

it was alright as a racing game, but it didn't feel like nfs at all

>using high res car models
you disgust me

Sure, if you're into irons.

I'd say Pro Street in general was the peak of NFS physics. Sim enough to feel good yet arcade enough to be forgiving and fun. If these were attached to something that's not track racing, it'd easily be the best NFS game.

>A genie appears and tells you EA has chosen you, yes you, to make a new NFS game in the vein of the original series from R&D Presents through NFS2000. If it's great, you'll make lods of emone and be given your own studio, Electronic Arts TrendSetting Hyper-Interactive Technologies. If it sucks you get kicked in the dick every other day for the rest of your life.
How do you do it, Sup Forums? Remember that by today's standards the original games are very barebones and people won't accept a 1:1 remake unless it's an Undergroundbabby who needs to jerk off to The Doors ft. Niggerboy.

I blame Ryan Cooper

Also, was there ever a fix for that bug?

no not really

if only not for that horrible physics and weird hub system

thanks nig

This

>heavy story based NFS have flopped twice before
>LETS DO IT AGAIN GUYS
god do i wish NFS was with a different publisher

>I blame Ryan Cooper
Ryo pls

>Also, was there ever a fix for that bug?
you mean that infamous unresponsive continue button? there's a fan patch for that. I haven't tried it though

The last Need for Speed I played was Underground and I enjoyed it.
Why is the new one worse? Did it just get bad ratings because it's the same old and the concept feels dated or is there something wrong with it?

I'd make Need For Speed: Redline

Set in the far future on various planetary settings - a story campaign that takes the player through illegal junkyard racing to get together the parts, contacts and cash to rebuild an old wreck of a speedracer suited for the big league spotlight races. Mix in comfy non-racing sequences in a way that doesn't intrude on the actual game - like testing the jet engine you just got etc you've seen redline

Get actual real world licenses and designers to contribute their visions on what their cars would look like 500 years in the future, put in some classic bodies to strap rocket engines to.

Can have a decent variety of racing styles represented throughout - from scrapyard derbies to maybe f-zero gravglider supersonic desert runs. Make customization super open ended because futuretech.

It's probably dumb and has nothing to do with NFS but oh well. I just wish for one racing game that pulls off a good story that doesn't shit over the gameplay.

wew lad that sure is a tangent you went off on that completely missed the suggested topic

I'll just take my nut kickings knowing I still changed NFS for the better

And then you see people beg for another Jet Set Radio when another company does listen to reason.

Ditch open world, puts too many restrictions on level design. Do a couple dozen long (longest should take 20+ minutes even in fastest cars) and branching fantasy tracks based on locations all around the world, old NFS-style. Do NFS2K-style time progression that gradually unlocks cars and cups as time passes; cars appreciate or depreciate with time and use too. Car list- anything cool, no shitboxes, from 60s to present day. Dump tons of money into good driving model. Starve players for money on first playthrough so they don't do stupid decisions like buying new cars.

Need For Speed is literally Sonic now.

That was fucking amazing. It was cool how you could buy the early era cars when they were new then sell them for tons once the price started going up in the later eras. The era appropriate promotional material used in the transitions was cool as well.

>no shitboxes
>Starve players for money when there's gradual unlocks
Shit game

I wouldn't, because I wouldn't want to do that game at all.

I'd want to basically make what amounts to Tokyo Xtreme racer not old NFS.

How come NFS has no competitors? Forza and GT are simcades and the only arcade to rival it was midnight club

But we won't get that ever again since r* has gone full jew

seems above average?

...

This is why I'm not buying it.

I bought NFS 2015 a few months ago and am still enjoying it a lot. Haven't played NFS since hot pursuit 2.

This is literally the first time I heard about this game.

Seriously the fuck is that drifting system
>Turn sideways
>It's like a fucking turbo button

>binding nos to left/right

>Drift
>Nitrous
If Carbon actually has that shit enabled than it's extra retarded

I was so excited to play this shit. Fuck it I'm still going to get in nfs 2015 wasn't that bad and this is apparently a little better.

the crew is actually a decent nfs replacement

>found some nfshp2 iso on my friend's drive
>install it
>reflections and shadows flicker to hell and back
Damn, I can't get it to go away
