Depends on what you want. Pretty soon you wont have to choose between the two though. I went with Ultrawide over 4k and dont regret it. Sup Forums is a bad place to talk about monitors and peripherals. Most people will just call shit a meme cause they're poorfags.

ultrawide looks good, so you shouldn't have any regrets. I bought a 4k tv, instead of a monitor, but I plan on getting one this black friday. my friend got the ultra, so that's why I went with 4k, both look great, so there shouldn't be any regrets regardless of which one you get.

Ultrawide is a fucking meme, compatibility for it can be a bitch at the best of times, also

I wouldn't want just a 4k monitor. UIs don't quite work right at 150% scaling and you need a magnifying glass to see anything at 100% scale.

Go for IMAX ratio instead.

Personally I would but everyone has a preference. Once you 144hz, you never go back to 60hz

Wait until 2018/2019 before you buy a new monitor.
