Question, should i start playing Warframe?
Question, should i start playing Warframe?
I too would like to know how it is.
Everyone keeps telling me the learning curve is really hard to get the hang of. I'd need to delete some games to make room for Warframe.. just wanted to see peoples opinion before i did that.
Mechanically it's fantastic but it has korean MMO levels of grind with cooldowns for equipment progression
Unless you're willing to pay money then it'll take you months to get anywhere.
I'd say play it with friends, I played it on my ps4 once before I got my PC, and I had fun with it. It gets super grindy after the first few missions.
Yes you should, it's fun
The game is fun until you realize that any cool looking thing you want requires literally weeks of grinding unless you want to spend money.
So if you don't mind the grind, go and play it.
It's a loot based game, like Diablo, Path of Exile, and ARPGs, the progression is tied to grinding.
It's like playing an FPS and being surprised that there's guns and you play in first person
you can obtain platinum(premium currency) through trading with other players so it's not nearly as bad as korean mmos
after about 400 hours on it i'd say no.
unless you're one of those kinds of people that enjoy turning off your brain and grinding for eternity
I want to like it but the missions seem dull to me.
Hopefully plains of eidolon will change that.
I should add that I play this on xbone where plains of eidolon is coming soon.
Take it from someone with 2000+ hours, don't.
>you play is first person
do you want to be a sexy space ninja?

??????????
metric shot tons of salt
Just started playing a week ago. It's fun! Fucking good for a free game. Great time waster.
900hrs mr22 here, the game itself is pretty great nowadays, but the early game is an absolute hell. You make progress fast but the sheer number of resources added to keep the game relevant to older players really takes its toll.
If you seriously want to try to break through, my tip would be wait for a double resource weekend, and use your starting plat to get a double resource booster, (they stack for x4) and you can effectively skip all early game grind by farming an endless supply of resources early on. Then just wait for a 75% off platinum login reward and spend 25$ to get 100$ of plat. As long as you don't buy everything in sight, it can last you more than a year at a time.
The game doesn't get good until you have a bunch of shit sitting around to play with, but once you do, warframe has endless creative build opportunities.
