This is the crisis center for all the refugees from the horrible tank mission of story mode
>actually playing a call of duty game
The entire Campaign was crap... thanks to the developers not paying attention to history at all and shoving the 1st Inf Division where they never were...the sad thing is i was actually pretty pumped for this game but whatever lesson learned i guess.
everybody 3 months from now youtube.com
Eh it was for free
>Playing CoD, BF or Ubi/EA garbage
>The current year
is this the thread for 16 y/o twinks?
>saw the Big Red 1 on a helmet of that high ranked guy near the beginning of the game
>thought it was a gentle nod to their Big Red 1 game
>it wasn't
It wasn't that bad.
No this one is for retards like me who fall for marketing because they are desperate for a good SP WW2 game.
>land 10 thompson bulelts in the chest of a kraut
>he didn't die
Man germans are so tough, I understand why there's so many casualties on the allies side.
I still want a refund of time
Ofcourse it wasnt lol its just the division they chose so they could tell their "uniqe" visceral story of the gritty war where a strong female french resistance fighter saves a couple of guys during a Michael Bay train sequence... jesus christ.
>Enter a building in Aachen
>there's a soviet SVT-40 on the ground
dafuq ?
Post a video otherwise no one knows what you're talking about.
Apparently the multiplayer and singleplayer share all the weapons and they decided to lock the G43 and G41 behind supply drops.
> A MG42 is less effective than your regular rifle
Does anyone else think these video games are produced to glorify war? Anyone speak to veterans and talk about war video games with them?
Just kinda strange..
>there are people in this thread who watched all the gameplay trailers and pre release footage yet still couldn't deduce that this game would be a turd.
Jesus Christ, if you have a functioning brain how you could not have known this game would be shit?
I did lol but i gave it a benefit of the doubt atleast for singleplayer but i was a little bit nervous since they didnt showcase any of the SP at E3.
War vets play shooters all the time. Believe it or not most vets are just guys who were dumb enough to sign up to get shot at for like 50 grand.
What military did they join?
You get 20k at tops starting, granted benefits are more, but nothing near 50k.
It's a mixed bag, some games glorify it while others try to push war is bad, i.e. Ace Combat, but at the end of the day you're mowing down targets left and right.
I just see it as a form of media like any other, though there will be times I'll get a flashback and/or see something that is beyond absurd.
CoD WW2 is not a bad game, but it's the same shitty formula with piss poor historical accuracy and gun realism.
The biggest issue a lot of guys in the military have, at least that I served with, is that bullshit quickscope accuracy.
Gets me everytime.
>"rescue" little german girl in the Aachen mission
> she's scared of german soldiers
> implying she's not brainwashed
> US troops sacrifie themselves to save german civilians
>You get 20k at tops starting, granted benefits are more, but nothing near 50k.
Glad I'll be going officer then fuck.
So we're all in agreement that this is the worst CoD campaign since 3, no?
world at war was pretty shit yeah
Same. Trying to join the Navy as an officer in the next few months. What branch are you going?
WaW was meh and only worthwhile because of how some of the characters tied into later games, but CoD 3's campaign was an almost carbon copy of CoD WW2.
Same stupid as fuck designs, same retarded action movie bullshit, same idiotic melee QTEs, hell, CoD 3 was the game that introduced all that action movie trash to CoD to begin with, and it still pisses me off to this day.
At least CoD 3 had a Canadian and a Polish campaign I guess, still hated the direction they took it in for the most part.
Fuck no. I never played Ghosts or Infinite Warfare so I can't judge those, but this was way better than Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 3. Last good COD campaign I played was Advanced Warfare.
>almost got tricked into buying this because CoD2 was one other best multiplayer games in my opinion
>the thing that tipped me off was that 90% of weapons were automatics
People do not realize that putting automatics promotes run and gun, spray and prey gameplay, only fucking children get anything out of that, and the children that grew up playing CoD have now actually grown up and realized that they no longer want this.
Yes, the campaign was awful.
>bad voice acting besides Pierson and maybe the jew (especially the two non-whites that showed up, their voice acting was horrendous)
>characters were so bland that caring about any of them is really hard to do (can hardly remember any of their names)
>half the plot only seemed to progress through sheer idiocy
>quick time events
>eastern front weapons on the western front
>sniper rifle slows down time
>shooting segments got really boring
>game ends as soon as it reaches the Rhine
>muh death camps lookin 4 juws
>stereotypical western "this guy in leadership is an asshole but it turns out he was a good guy all along" plot twist
>guns sound like crap
>devs somehow found a way to shoehorn a racism sub-plot near the end of the game
It was shit.
Lol, MW3's campaign was leagues above WW2's. Are you drunk or high? At least it tried to tell a new story somehow and wasn't a SPR rip-off. It also featured characters that were in the series since MW1. the story wasn't great but it wasn't bad (though it did have some stupid moments). CoD WW2 is an absolute shit show for a campaign.
>sniper rifle slows down time
Oh god I forgot this crap
I enjoyed 3's campaign but that might be from nostalgia. But how could you forget Ghosts?
I legit never even bothered pirating Ghosts because it looked so terrible.
But yea, I'd forgotten all about that piece of shit.
Navy as well. I just gotta finish school
I had high hopes when they said they were going back to there roots and they said there wouldn't be a create a class. That hope immediately died when I saw the multiplayer gameplay.
lol nice rage meme, haven't seen one have those in forever :)
My dad bought it and never played it so I tried to see if it was as bad as people said it was it was worse
I really loved the moment when you flipped a Nazi train with a jeep.
Don't forget it bitch boy
>Tfw even losing proves German Superiority
Thanks Hitler!
Is that a joke or did that actually happen in the game?
The protag ended up destroying a mobile death fortress with his jewish friend and a jeep. It was one of the shittiest parts of the campaign.
yup, they you get rescued by a smug french lady from the resistance, with a horrible fake french accent, they you play her to infiltrate a "highly secured" nazi camp in Paris, you even have the opportunity to brutally kill a Nazi officer after he told you how he love killing small birds, acting like the worst psychopath Hollywood didn't dare to pull.
Should be around 2:40.
youtube.com
>literal retards can't wait for reviews and playthroughs
>whine how shit game was and how they want a refund
>these retards will buy another hyped game are repeat this crap forever
hurr lesson learned, sure you fucking retards
Don't forget how Heinrich knew there was a spy in the building and didn't call for the people standing outside of his office to take her away. Also don't forget how the people standing outside of the office didn't hear the French kill him brutally before escaping.
t. my ass
Holy shit that was retarded.
>world at war was pretty shit yeah
>WaW was meh and only worthwhile because of how some of the characters tied into later games
what the fuck is wrong with you people
>gore and dismemberment
>sneaky fucking japs hiding in grass
>bayonets
>literally the best mission briefing videos
>no saving private ryan rip off
it's as good as ww2 shooter campaigns will ever be.
Jesus fucking christ.
>MW3
>gun companies promotion
>awful weapon sound
>mediocre spec ops
>perpetrating the ridiculous Russian invasion plot
>graphics that look worse than games that came before
>no level worth remembering
>universally despised, considering it was not even the same team as MW2
>campaign's linearity to new obscene levels: i.e. 1) When escaping with the boat in the bay if you don't run in between the falling ships (so you can gaze at the effects and get a cinematic effect) but instead go for a safer route as any sane person would, the game kills you
if you go too far ahead before you should, the game kills you.
>in MW2 the stealth mission with Price let you enjoy a certain degree of freedom, being able to roam a large base, in MW3 the stealth mission around London is so linear that you can't even kill the ones he is going to kill, unlike MW2 which accounted for that.
>recycled animations
I think they reused the sniper animation of MacMillan where he opens the container in at least 2 more Cod after MW1
Jew driver freaks out after a grenade lands in the vehicle after you've already thrown it out and swerves it in front of the train. After waiting about 45 seconds to jump out, the jeep goes under the train derailing it in the stupidest trainwreck since DSP's Persona 3 playthrough.
No CoD WW2 game will ever top charging into Stalingrad with no gun in CoD 1 and getting shot if you turn around.
>there will never be a Big Red 1 remake
It would be the first time I'd buy a Call of Duty game in years.
T. Military casualty reports.
Reminder that neither side fed prisoners well, Russia had a Scorched Earth policy, and Zhukov was a moron who threw legions of men at the Germans with little other instruction but "rush them lol"
>video games are produced to glorify war?
>Do you feel like a hero yet?
Spec ops the line.
Ghosts was literally all the cliche's ever packed into a non coherent plot with an invincible antagonist it was so cringy throughout i literally got stomach pains during some of the scene's..
I cannot be the only one who sees buck compton in that new cod art.
>mission in german forest
>most of german soldiers have SVT-40
Did they open at least one book while making that game ?
>and getting shot if you turn around.
i wonder how you know that happens, comrade user. you wouldnt happen to be cowardly deserter pond scum?
>awful weapon sound
Around the same level as the guns in WW2, maybe slightly better.
hooktube.com
vs
hooktube.com
>mediocre spec ops
What exactly does this have to do with the campaign?
>perpetrating the ridiculous Russian invasion plot
The point was that it was more unique and far more entertaining than WW2's plot.
>graphics that look worse than games that came before
Wrong,It was one of the better looking CoD's since MW came out. It doesn't look worse than MW1, MW2, or WaW They all run on the same engine so they'll all look about the same, but the newer entries look a bit better.
>no level worth remembering
Russian plane crash, Hotel Epilogue with Price, France getting attacked with chemical weapons, and the Makarov sniper Assasination mission. It's not great but I can remember than and I only played that game once at release.
>universally despised, considering it was not even the same team as MW2
Same with WW2.
I never even said MW3 was a good game, I said it's campaign was better than WW2's. Are you illiterate?
...
The difference is astounding lol price in mw1 looked like he was made of plastic.
Where did his scars go to in 3?
He also seems to have gotten younger as he aged.
>flank the ennemy position
>going too far, I'm now behind them
>they take cover next to my allies
>my squad does nothing beside shooting the empty street
There will never be a CoD as good as CoD1/UO and its a shame.
>Train literally crashes and falls apart for fucking 45+ seconds
>Debris just keeps fucking flying at you, conveniently missing you (though a lot of it literally clips through your body)
Jesus fucking christ, this is just excessive.
>The only way to kill someone with the m1 Carbine is to land a headshot
That's just a shame, I love this gun.
Haha, nice epic meme, reddit.
Thanks, Neogaf.
The game even got the sights wrong because 12 year olds will have trouble aiming baka...
This game has the worst German accents I've ever heard
Every sight in the game is wrong, check the Thompson one
>you're an american sniper during the battle of the Bulge
>they give you a fucking Lee-Enfield
>Battle of the Bulge
>your NCO is a nigger
>that K/D ratio
rush B cyka blyat idi nahui
Finest Hour was superior
>Team Fortress 2 - End of the Line (SFM)
>Plane mission
>you're escorting bombers
>in a p-47
>in 1944
>your p-47 is filled with bombs
>for an escort mission
>Plane mission
>controls are retarded
>you can't avoid a collision with a bomber
>"ohshit I'm done"
>I just bounce on it
And the springfield is the outdated marine one that was only used in the pacific and was quickly replaced.
Well the P-47 is a fighter-bomber and it looks cool plus your squadron is also used for a ground attack later on so i guess thats why they did but that is the least of the game's problems.
> "DANIELS PROTECT OUR TANKS !"
>suddenly, the whole german army is armed with panzerschrecks
No user, you don't put bombs on a plane when you want it to behave decently during a high-altitude dogfight
Don't forget the train wreck sequence lasted a comically long time. I actually had a laughing fit because of how long the fucking train was crashing for.
At least Treyarch is up next year.
Hows the mulitplayer though? I read the maps are small and shit. I'd be playing on PS4. This is the first cod game I havent bought at launch in years, but I read it's selling really well. I have a 20% code that's expiring soon too.
>next call of doodoo
>it's about american civil war
>everybody have a m1Garand
> Buffalo Soldiers save the day
Yeah, that was really fucking stupid. He just came out of nowhere and outranked everybody.
>navy gaybois
>joining as an officer so everyone under you hates you
nice
I hated his "shiiiieeet white boi I'm the only one who knows what I'm doing here, better follow me if you want to live" atitude
I replayed CoD 1 and UP recently and their campaigns still hold up.
>Battle of the Bulge as UO's very first level.
>Bomber mission.
>Infiltrating the battleship with Price.
>Assaulting the seaside fortress and the subsequent jeep escape.
I could go on, so many memorable levels.
Dude its CoD it never was realistic lets be honest here. trust me i was also disturbed but fuck it like i said its the least of this games problems when it comes to historical accuracy.
THEY'RE BUILDING A BRIDGE
THEY'RE BUILDING A BRIDGE
THEY'RE BUILDING A BRIDGE
Why the fuck are the packapunched guns so fucking weak? It just adds some stupid effect to the gun. It doesn't change the sound or anything. I'm so disappointed with the zombies, you can't even rebuild barricades and you can fucking revive yourself. And why the fuck won't it tell me what gun I got a fucking attachment for in multiplayer? I use like 3 guns in one match and it says I earned a grip but doesn't say which gun. And oh my goodness you cannot play War with randoms, you literally can't they sit there and watch the fucking objective as the clock ticks down and do fucking nothing.
There's a lot of three-lane maps since movement is the most basic it's been in years.
In spite of all the jokes about watching people open lootboxes, weapon progression is basically identical to Black Ops 2. Level up, use your unlock tokens, level up guns to get attachments, etc.
Then there's war mode, which is basically a multistep objective-based multiplayer mode where teams escort tanks, plant bombs, etc.. If your team is retarded it will be a shutout because it is not difficult for defenders to suppress plays on an objective.
Of course they are used to glorify war. I knew tons of kids from high school who wanted to join the military because of Call of Duty 4. They made a game with a conflict set in the Middle-East because support for the war was waning and they needed to rally up some nationalism. The government probably played some part in that decision as well.
Military folk are fucking degenerates though. People always make jokes about black people collecting welfare, but the real welfare collectors are members of the military. Such a low percentage of them actually see combat and they spend their entire service time sitting on their ass in a base. Don't you dare show any disrespect towards them though! That wouldn't be American >:(
It's going to be modern, apparently.
A train sabotage mission with the dutch resistance that doesnt suck and makes you want to laugh uncontrollably.
I have zero friends to play with. I get frustrated playing objective based game modes with randoms. When I do play IW i mostly play Team and FFA.
