No really, after I found that out I just went on the wiki and started to look up which crops are PROFITABLE right off the bat without level up. That is so stupid to basically be giving away money by farming.

You should be getting more than 1 cabbage per seed though. Unless if your field is really shitty or something.
Also if you want to max out money be sure to cook all the crops you grow. It gives you way more money, you can eat the food and you level up your cooking skill too.

My fields are really badly ruined from consequetively farming on them so it's sorta turned into a 50% chance to profit off each cabbage.

1 is too old and outdated and clunky now
2 is okay
3 is where it started to get really really good
4 is an absolute masterpiece that blows the rest out of the water entirely.

this is why you farm corn in the dungeon fields. corn is god tier for keeping fields healthy and for spamming popcorn

Play Frontier instead of 1, but make sure you use an infinite runey mod.

It's arguably one of the best games in the entire series, but cucked by a shitty system that cheats can easily just remove from the game.

Cut one of your crops with your sickle to get higher-level seed. This is limited by the level of the of the sickle.

Harvest them with a sickle. The higher tier sickle the better. Replant, repeat.

Power Wave isn't supposed to be carrying me, is it?
I can fight a boss for five, ten minutes - or I can power wave it four times.

Story of Seasons isn't Rune Factory. Don't get me wrong the games look charming but I just can't get into the SoS games after RF4. The dungeons and combat in RF keep me excited.

Im not sure about corn level, since i leveled that shit up immediately. You cant compost it but the levels of plot health it gives outweigh compost bin by a far margin. you level up crops by tilling the fully grown crop instead of harvesting it. doing so will give you seeds of a higher level up to a max of 10. Also, the quality of the plot determines if the seed will level or not. the best way of leveling crops is to reserve a square plot or two, increase their quality to the max, then planting one of each seed of the season there and repeatedly leveling up the seed to level 10, then selling that level 10 crop (not the seed!). If you sell a level 10 vegatable, the store will begin to sell seeds of the same level.

I probably got a few things wrong since im doing this from memory, but the process is the same.

I don't remember exactly how skill scaling works but if it's really that bad your weapon is probably just really weak in comparison to your stats. Power Wave definitely isn't that strong.

If it makes any more sense, farming levels up your stats by a lot. The runeys you collect and the RP balls that give you levels boost your stats by a ton.
