As someone who doesn't really care about FE, Warriors has been pretty fun and entertaining.
I really enjoyed DQH, but I do love DQ, and FEW feels like a straight upgrade in every way.
They should just do a Final Fantasy Musou and be done with it there's literally infinite potential there.

3 is a safe number, because you need stages regarding the game, a map outside of story mode, and a crapload of songs, especially for the FF games.
