Didn't play many games this year but overall I think it was a good year for gaming.

Only bummer this year was the Age of Empires remake being delayed til next year.

Worst Game of the Year: Destiny 2, COD WW2, AC: Origins, Battlefront 2, Shadow of War, For Honor, Forza 7, Andromeda, Injustice 2, Ghost Recon, and every other shit game with microtransactions that I forgot about

Overall, there's been a huge amount of fantastic games, but also an unprecedented amount of shit games and cancerous, anti-consumer business tactics. I've had lots of good times with games this year, but it's the beginning of the end, unless something major changes.

I know this is bait, but could you really not find a better Japanese game than DRV3? There's dozens you could have chosen that are better than that embarrassing dumpster fire.

Cosmic Star Heroine was such a disappointment, they said they will make serious rpg in the vein of Chrono Trigger and Phantasy Star. Instead we got another ebin parody rpg with terrible mechanics. Only have myself to blame really, on the rain-slick precipice of darkness were nothing special from Zeboyd.

I like all of these games, Kiwami included, they're just all that I've played this year. I typically play no new games in any given year and there's still plenty of games I haven't tried that I'm interested in from this year, so I'd say it has been good for videogames.
