Not only changed fuck tons of things it doesn't resembles STALKER anymore but they also added many half baked features that broke the game.
OGSE 6.9.2 it's just old build restoration with shiny cosmetics, 6.9.3 is a completely new STALKER.

I played a bit of OGSE 6.9.3 and I'm enjoyed it, the fact that it's so different from SOC is good to someone that's been playing it constantly for ten years and the game doesn't seem particularly broken like what that other user said. Haven't played it in a while but that's because I'm busy with new releases.
Then again I just fucking love stalker and even sort of enjoy lost alpha when it's not going full retard.

I'm still running coc 0.4.19 because I'm too lazy to update, but it's still fun

basically a horror/scifi shooter, if the fps you play are shit call of duty style the game is going to be incredibly hard, if you are not a filthy casual its not really difficult

the game's appeal is mostly its atmosphere, if you can immerse yourself in games you are probably going to like it, if you can't its just an ok shooter

I love stalker, but I must add, if you dislike the atmosphere it's actually a fairly bad shooter. the guns are ugly as sin, combat is easy without mods (just spam health kits) and headshots instakill anybody anytime.

I got turned into a zombo the first time I played which was weird and unexpected and I had no idea what to do except reload but other than that I didn't experience that much. I honestly can't remember how far I got but I don't think I've visited any of the new areas so maybe that's where the jank shows. Most of the weirdness I've seen is just typical zone stuff like dudes standing in fire, corpses stuck in walls and dead mutants suspended in the air above anomalies. My screenshots sure do look like shit though.
Big maps, sandbox-ish environment, very unforgiving but ultimately very rewarding, lots of guns, lots of slav, spooky times, happy times, relaxing times, tense times, rain, wind, mutants, looting, running out of stamina, dying a lot, quickloading a lot, carrying 500 aks to the barkeep while crawling to buy a suit you find a better version of in the next lab you visit.

I literally got burned of Stalker games after beating the last section of SoC. What a fucking clusterfuck of a place, i reloaled like 100 times with the nearly infinite spawn of monolith.
I really need to play CS for something fresh sadly none of the main mods seems finished.

Does anyone know of a STALKER mod with a more gun focused nature? I don't mean Arsenal where they just vomit 60+ weapons + skins into the game.

I want something for CoC where Rookie Village is filled with only pistols, bolt actions, double barrels etc. A sense of progression I guess.
