wtf Sup Forums why did you never tell me this game was so good

it's Fable but more streamlined, with better dialogue, and fantasy China instead of fantasy Yurop

The build variety and stat systems are cool and the combat is super challenging but actually rewarding on the highest difficulty apart from sometimes getting seemingly locked into combos that can kill you at 100% health, and are initiated by enemies that fight in groups

LEGENDARY STRIKE

Game is short as fuck though.

Also felt unfinished in some parts.

>pull out musket
Heh nothing personal

>why did you never tell me this game was so good
Because underaged are not allowed here. And if you're not underaged you'd already know that the game's good.

It's stupendous that the game actually has only two explorable cities with sidequests.

Also some of the fights are outright rage inducing. It's an incredibly shitty mechanic that you need to punch about 250 times throughout the fight whilst a total of 3 hits will kill you.

Also it's pretty annoying that the team members all have these nifty backstories but none of them actually works as anything more than really straight forward dialogue.

It'd be far better if it had more cities and the characters had quests of their own, as it would feel much more rewarding to wrap up their stories.

yeah the game is good, wish more rpg's are willing to look at different types of fantasy worlds

>It's stupendous that the game actually has only two explorable cities with sidequests.
That's like the staple of Bioware RPGs at the time. Pretty sure both KOTOR 1 and 2 also only had 2 hub worlds, the rest of the planets are just straight up dungeons.

You know, now that I think about it, only Korriban and Manaan could be classified as hub worlds. Rest of the planets still felt more town-y than anything JE offered.

I had an OG Xbox since launch but didn't like RPGs until I was older

Best antagonist Bioware has ever produced.
Combat was surprisingly fun even with clunky animations. Harmonic combos blowing enemies up was a fun gimmick, transformation styles were cool, ability to get the rifle was unexpected and it was strong as fuck.
Also shmup sections were an unexpected and fun diversion.
Certainly a better game than the first KOTOR and probably in top 3 of Bioware games overall.
Quite short though.

Transformations were really overpowered. I remember getting all the way to the lotus assassins using nothing but toad demon and focus mode for every fight. And getting the jade golem style makes it even easier after that.

I wish the companions were more useful.

I found that the evil version of the girl's transformation companion was the only one who could do something besides dying immediately. The skank from the village was useful in support mode in the fight against the fox god's bodyguard. That fight was intense.

>the camera on the pc port
remaster when?

>we will never have threesome end rpg again

jade golem 4 shots last boss. i killed him while the flash of light during transformation was still glowing, didnt even see him and still smashed him.

Hopefully never, I don't want EA to remember they have another franchise to ruin.

Did you get it free on gog?

>Play this game after having it sit in my backlog for a while
>It's fucking awesome
>Except it's fucking short
>And there'll never be a sequel or anything
>And there'll never be an RPG with a threesome romance ever again although it only registered me and Silk Fox so Dawn Star accidentally went home instead.
>And they cut the gag credits from the Special Edition
The worst part about playing old games is being reminded that things actually did get worse.

This game has criminally little rule34.

>the gag credits
Huh, I can't even remember that tbqh.

>Henpecked Hou's wife chewing him out
>Dawn Star being lewdpure as fuck
>Sagacious Zu being Steven Seagal

I recommend it.
