what exactly went wrong?
This game died quick
Stop it right there.
...
>release one of its biggest franchises
>releases another of its biggest franchises within the same year
>before releasing all DLC for the first franchise
Nintendo shot themselves in the foot. I don't think Switch can keep its momentum past 2018.
>this game died quick
Nice how you making a thread makes your statement invalid.
/lozg/ has been dead for months.
Zelda has never been a series with much staying power due to the gulf that exists between releases.

Yeah it won’t be BotW and Odyssey huge but the momentum will be kept. 2019 worries me more since they’ll only have Metroid Prime and Pokemon.
Most of those sound better than BotW desu, that game wasn't that good
a single player game cannot die, user
More and more people are playing it - and more will buy it over Christmas - and realize that it's actually really fucking boring.
>this game died quick
it came out 8 months ago
way too much to do, after 50 shrines and 200koroks it just becomes a massive chore with sidequests being as bad as FF15 still love both games but fuck i just want to end BOTW already
>died
game came out in march, everybody interested already beat it
don't waste your money on DLC tho
Then just finish the game, numb nuts. You can beat it whenever you want.
Pokémon mainline is literally confirmed. It will be a console seller
I still fucking love the game. I have a little under 200 hours of playtime into it. With a vanilla playthrough and a master mode playthrough.
And it's honestly a little bit of a struggle to not play it even more. But I am purposely withholding myself from playing more of it until the DLC hits so that it'll be as fresh as possible.
autism wont let me
Then show me its body

How does a single player game die?
>dead
>threads about it on the daily
4 eyebrows?
This. The momentum for 2018 won't be quite as strong but it'll definitely be there.
The fact that you post this in every BotW thread, and the fact that people often posts similar things, actually makes you seem far more butthurt than the people actually talking about the game and criticizing it. Oftentimes people have played the game, and want to share their experiences with it, and they may not always be positive, and yet people like you come into the thread to effectively SHUT IT DOWN and make sure that nobody talks badly about your precious game. You are the irrational ones here, not the people honestly talking about the game.
It is a singleplayer game
You are meant to play it once and then walk away
Nobody read all of that shut up nerd
Are you aware that just makes you sound more butthurt? "Wow, I am going to act all cool and smug and dismiss the post." Every post you make in these threads is about trying to get people to shut up.
> and realize that it's actually really fucking boring
kek keep dreaming it will only get more popular over time
>died quick
It's a single player game you mongoloid. And it doesn't have a "play all year round" appeal like Animal Crossing.
Looks even better on PC.

These are enough for a whole year desu
I hope we get them on 2018, but I doubt we'll get pokemon next year.
Also, you forgot Metroid Prime 4 and the new No more heroes.
hi buttdevastated ninbro, hows your day?
>Ace Attorney on console for the first time
Remember the Wii ports of the first three Ace Attorneys?
we know it's confirmed, just not what year it'll be released.

um no
jesus christ that actually DOES look really good...
im glad pcbros can enjoy it
I know right.
Is the draw distance increased?
...
...
Times that by 30.
No. That's the default one.
That's why I specified "past" 2018. Nintendo better churn out Odyssey 2 or a pseudo-spinoff of BotW a la Majora's Mask if they don't want their console to stagnate like it has it practically every 3D generation.
...
More like 2.0x FPS
I hate Zelda games except the first one but this makes me want to play botw. Is it fun?
These CEMu screenshots make me wanna finish my 900 Korok Seed MM run on CEMU.
They really needed to add some fucking caves and old ruined, haunted castles to explore in this game. Can't wait for Skyrim to come out for it with the master sword and Hylian shield. Gonna play what breath of the wild should've been.

It's the Sonic Adventure 2 of Zelda. The point of no return where the series begins its nose dive in quality, but upon release is raved about because of Nintendo bonus and fanboys. In time it'll become clearer and clearer how poorly designed the shrines are, the lack of unique bosses or challenge, the terrible balancing (armor up to be invincible vs. die instantly to a silver moblin), the shit music or lack thereof, the incredibly simplistic plot with no real villain.
Not to mention the god awful combat, weapon breaking, "mash A to win" and broken time freeze. The final boss that doesn't even try to attack you, as Zelda spouts atrocious mangled dialogue.
This game could so easily be a new IP or spin off of Assassin's Creed and no one would notice based off the gameplay. Only thing "Zelda" about it is purely aesthetics.
>inb4 capcom just ports the first 3 games to switch
...
>Implying more people are still talking about Nier Automata, Ghost Recon Wildlands, or Andromeda
This is really well thought out bait.
My favourite part in particular is the part where you completely gloss over how the last two entries in the series were Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, one of which is largely considered to be worthless and the other is largely reviled.
...
Maybe post an actual screenshot rather than a washed-out cherry-picked image from a youtube feed.
How desperate are you?
I genuinely don't know which is which here
Hello underage. What e-celeb did you take your opinion on for TP and SS that you were too young to play yourself?
So how long are we going to get threads trying to bait this game every day?
It took me 1 month to finish it.
Bait thread
Faggot, I own the original gold cart of Zelda 2. Suck my chode.
>1000x562
I enjoyed SS a bunch. Whimsical atmosphere, nice visuals. The combat was never stale and not nearly as unresponsive as people make it out to be. I had more fun replaying SS than any previous Zelda because of this.
Not even a denial, enjoy your collector's item and remember to stay in school, kid
>Legendary weapon
>Breaks after killing maybe 12 enemies
no, I'm saying that it's 8 months old
obviously people will talk about more recent games more
The combat was ass, the sidekick was annoying and the story was so atrociously bad they dropped the timeline and started again.
...
M8, I was playing Zelda when you were in your dad's scrot. SS and TP were fucking awful.
TP was all style and no grace and SS was basically the Sonic Forces of the franchise, ie an example of what happens when you pander to fringe fans mistakenly believing them to be the majority.
TP is worthless. Follows the Ocarina blueprint far too closely.
>combat ass
>1:1 practically perfect motion controls
>sidekick was annoying
>implying this isn't the easiest solution: just remove or make the sidekick the same as in other games
>story atrociously bad
>compared to the "story" in Brap of the Wild
Motion controls are inherently shit and the fact Breath of the Wild's story was basically optional was a massive plus.
literally can't refute a single point of this post:
Sad!
>shit story is optional so it's good!
HAHAHAHA okay, I can mute the shitty music so that's a MASSIVE PLUS too!
In fact I can not play the game that's a massive plus.
The shrines aren't poorly designed tho they are almost always satisfying to complete on the first play through.
Try again
Yes, BotW is nothing compared to HZD, right OP? You are clearly a fellow man of taste. *tips fedora*
>they are almost always satisfying to complete
horse shit
Are you a retard? Like 80% of the story is told through optional flash backs and the rest is literally 3 minutes of cut scenes and an ending cinematic. You are a fucking spacker.
>I've never played the game, but I've watched famous Youtubers critique it
>some of them don't even have anything in them, you just walk in and open a chest
>fight the same enemy 10 times
>universally hated motion control puzzles
>at best maybe a room of puzzles, mostly just 1 room of piss easy puzzles
>not poorly designed
Yes and it's shit and worse than the story in all the other Zelda games. I know you're just going to say "I hate story in games so I like it" because you're a faggot, but that "story" is atrocious.
Paying for basic features like harder difficulty killed it for me. Hell games like HZD just patched in ultra difficulty for free on top of other free content then released expansion packs that felt like actually content for the same price as Nintendo's season pass which contained little to no meaningful content.
Yes, I am bitter that I got tricked by Nintendo yet again because I let my love of classic Nintendo franchises blind me. I'm sure I'll learn some day but at least I have fun while I'm getting fucked I guess.
There's over an hour of cutscenes and dialogue you can't skip and it's all garbage.
Played it for 300 hours. Thats more than I can say for most single player games in the past 10 years at least.
>H-HAHA IF I JUST KEEP CALLING HIM UNDERAGE MAYBE HE'LL GO AWAY AND THAT MEANS I WIN
Right but that is a lie so kill yourself.
I always enjoyed the combat shrines. I think the game needed more difficult 1-on-1 encounters to offset the enemy camps that mostly just challenge you with dealing with mobs effectively. And the answer almost always is spamming the Claymore charge spin.
Didn't even call you underage, kid. At least I know what your insecurity is, now.
I think most people can agree that the first 50 hours of BotW are gaming perfection. The question always comes down to how much meaningful and unique content can we expect a game to deliver over an extended period of time?
Combat shrines were bad imo because they were done in a basically random order depending on when you found then, so I ran into the hardest ones at the start and did the easiest ones later by chance, making them a complete waste of time.
I can't see how this is in any way superior to just having dungeons. The 120 or whatever shrines just sucks in concept. If the next game doesn't have dungeons or better shrines I'm not buying it. Shrines are repetitive and boring as fuck.
>Universally hated motion control puzzles
I don't think you know what that word means
YOU hate the motion controls and project your opinion on others instead of forming facts about the game
>the answer almost always is spamming the Claymore charge spin.
Yeah, that shit's by far the most efficient way to kill off groups.
Fuck off with your consolewar bullshit. Champion's Ballad hasn't even released yet, you don't get to talk about it as if it's a let down yet.
