Gee, I wonder, which one would it be. The two with dead average abilities, or the hot female that can randomly go through dimensions?

but she's dead tho

Cirilla can fuck off. Sick of her presence in everything.

>or the hot female that can randomly go through dimensions?

She's to OP to make the MC

I'd love a game with Vasimir, Eskel and Lambert going on an adventure together, bro style.

No way it's gonna be Ciri, it would make the ending of the third game meaningless and she's too powerful for the witcher universe. It's probably gonna be some new character down in the south so we can explore Nilfgaard or Zerrikania.

>Your bet on the next Witcher game protagonist?

10 years of making nothing but Witcher games. No more. Go replay 1 and 2 cause I know sure as fuck you haven't if you're asking such a dumb question.

They already said they were doing another game

I think it should be a Witcher from a different school (except edgy faggot school aka cat)

or special snowflake school aka viper and manticore

There will be no more witcher games unless they want to cover territory from the books.
They should do another fantasy series, the First Law could be good. It has limited locations compared to other fantasy, a focus on characters and prespective, very little magic.
It's perfect.

Playing as a mage or a sorceress getting involved in schemes and politics would be sweet. Maybe combat wouldn't be so shit, too.

Doubt it will happen, but a Skyrim-esque open world Witcher where you build your own character and just role play as a regular Witcher would be neat. Side quests were arguably the best part of W3 so a whole game of just contracts and smaller quests would be awesome. A better combat system, something akin to dark souls, would really make the game great. During development of W3 a combat system that allowed you to target specific body parts was scrapped, something like that would make fights a lot more interesting. They’d have to add in more monster types as well to keep it from getting stale too quickly.

By the time the next witcher game comes out technology will be at a point where a game like this could be immersive enough to actually be engaging and fun. For example, an improvement in graphics tech would allow them to ditch the glowing red Witcher senses and make you actually look for physical footprints (you can already kind of do this in W3 but the level of detail isn’t quite there and the quests aren’t designed with this possibility in mind).

Bonhart would be the funnest Witcher protag desu senpai.

Woops

hoo boy

They should do Malazan book of the fallen.

Kek xD
its not such a bad idea, he would be hilarious
>Let's dance!
But i think they wont choose him, he's too much of a villain

Playing Ciri is fine for a section of TW3, but she is too overpowered to be the main characters of a game.

Malazan doesn't really fit in with the gameplay loop of witcher.
Maybe as Karsa since he's a giant with a magical stone sword.

too evil

I want it to be the right guy but I know we will get the stronk wimmin. CDPR are extremely sjw.

If there has to be a next Witcher game, make it just fucking set 100 years before Blood of the Elves, and make the protagonist generated by the player, as people have cried for before.

Actually fuck it, make it party based faux infinity engine game, to shame bioware even further. You've got all kinds of classes in the setting, soldier/knight for a fighter, bounty hunter for a ranger, sorceress/mage being actually different magic classes, witchers being gishes, there's all kinds of gutter trash... story and your available solutions to problems grow out of what your party is, think Icewind Dale. Witcher party members get monster hunting quests, bards get social events, soldiers get politics and larger scale combat, there's a lot of potential in there. Just don't base it on D&D 5e, in fact, go ahead and use like The Riddle of Steel or some shit for the system, you're cdprojekt.

Note: If your witcher character is a woman though she has to be cat school, so she's batshit insane. It's a social commentary

stefan skellen should be the new protagonist in witcher game about spy life in nilfgaard then it would be blacks fighting for democracy

It'll have a character creator like Cyberpunk 2077

literally the first google result if you type in witcher 4
gamersgreed.com/witcher-4-confirmed-by-cd-projekt-red/

...

Set it 100 years before the game and books, have a character creator and be able to pick your own schools. No main story, just a bunch of well written quests like hearts of stone with multiple small but focused open world maps

cyberpunk 2077 never ever

>being a witcher again
How can people want to use a single weapon throughout the entire game with no combat variety? It's time they caught up to the rest of rpgs and have a class system with different weapons and fighting styles.

We don't need more Witcher games. I want some new shit.

Read it.

>2017
>Still falling for clickbait

WE

Just take away her powers at the start of the game like every other game sequel

What? It says they're doing another game.

I'd be cool with any of them

But you can't take away her powers. They're innate, they're literally in her blood.

Well my bet is no one because CD Project Red wont make another witcher game.

neither of them.
it´s either gonna be be "make your own character" or some new male protagonist that has family ties to both mages and kings to tie him into personally into the big overarching story

just establish a new world which is linked to the witcher world.

"We haven't abandoned the franchise" =/= "we are making Witcher 4"

None of the quotes cited in the article are anything resembling an official announcement.

It's a shitty clickbait article.

Elric.
Admit it, Elric saga vidya would be a thousand time more fun and interesting than another Witcher title.

theres always a dumb-ass way to do it though lol. its fiction user

Ofcourse they're not annoucning a new witcher game when cyberpunk is coming out. I never claimed it's an official annoucement either. Don't be such an autist.

I don't think it's gonna be an existing character. It's gonna be character creation Mass Effect style. Picking your own personal history and maybe even go a little crazy and have stuff like Vampire or Werewolf as a player option instead of Witcher mutations.

I just don't think there's any character that can really replace Geralt as the protagonist. If they make a new game I think it's just going to be set in the Witcher world with loose connections to the books and previous games. But hey, that's just what I want so I'm biased.

I'd agree with you if it weren't for the fact that a magic unicorn told her that her powers are the one thing she can not lose.

Ciri can easily replace Geralt, that's exactly what happened in the books.

her story was completely different than geralt's and did not feature much of what people liked about these three games, though

It can be if you got the ciri becomes a witcher ending

They're both dead in the original canon and CDPRs canon you git.

a kid with a pitchfork

i hope not, shes ugly as shit

possibly deez nuts lol

My bet is that it will be a self-insert.
Something like a new witcher that was trained by Leto (him surviving would be made canon) and stuff.

Oh, it was already talked about in the thread. Aight.

>he got the bad ending

Would enjoy the fuck outta this

Cirilla becomes a witcher in only one of three possible scenarios, it's possible for Lambert to die IIRC, and Eskel is simply not interesting enough to be a MC, so I'd say none of the above.
