How much did you like Yooka Laylee
How much did you like Yooka Laylee
Paid half price for it and 100% completed it
I don't feel like I wasted my money but I'll probably never play it a second time
It's good. I don't have much else to say about it.
I was not particularly impressed with the music.
I spent 150 dollars on it 2 years before its release and didn't even get what I paid for (physical art book/soundtrack). I'm never kickstarting a game again.
I will never buy a game ever again, thanks yooka failee.
Good. You deserve it you fucking moron.
Enough to play a sequel. 7ish/10
if it doesn't run like shit on the Switch I'll get it
I have a PS4, but just holding out to see the Switch version before getting it
Consider that even the PS4 and Xbone versions run at unstable 30 fps.
>150 dollars
I want to call you a fucking idiot but I think you've been punished enough.
The switch version is specifically being made in house by Playtonic, while the other console versions were outsourced to other devs to port. There is good reason to believe the switch version will be much better optimized than PS4 and Xbox
I know user
along with Rime running like shit, I'm pretty sure it'll be unoptimised trash, but as says, I just think they're spending a long time to add the multiplayer into the game
>No Jon
garbage game
>me waiting for the Switch version like
Enjoy your shitty game faggot
I was following it while it was still in its Kickstarter phase but after the political bullshit they pulled with Jontron, I stopped caring and shortly after, it was released and I heard it pulled a Mighty no 9
It looks cute though
I enjoyed it enough to pirate it
Enough to play through it and enjoying myself. Donated just enough to the kickstarter to get a digital pc copy and I didn't feel like I wasted my money
I don't really get the hate for it, it has flaws definitely but I did have fun with it. Thougg I was kind of over it at around 80ish pagies and just used a guide to get to the last boss fight
The hate is entirely because "muh eceleb"
Guess I'm one of the few who loved Yooka Laylee, though I can see why others hate it.
Besides, Rare themselves pretty much confirmed that they won't be going back to their old IPs, so fuck them. If Banjo's not coming back I'll gladly take Yooka.
Let's hope Playtonic has listened to criticisms and makes a better sequel.
I didn't care for the shitty controversy
They promised a spiritual sequel of banjo and they gave us a chinese knock off of banjo
>backed it
>asked for wii u version
>canned
>whatever I'm getting a switch anyway
>still no switch release date
And after hearing it's medicore and playing Mario this might sting
On the words of a friend that played mario and yooka laylee
yes, mario is what yooka laylee should have been
So you are rekt like I was.
...
I share his pain
>Backed something like $200 to MN9
>Participated in the forums
>Filled out all my info correctly
>Never got my fucking keys at all
>Contacted support, got "please understand" and "no we definitely sent you your keys"
>Never fucking got them and I've been using this same email for almost 15 years
>Ended up getting an extra key with all the DLC from my friend who only backed like $20
>My name isn't even in the fucking credits despite me putting in my info
>Just got my shit a couple weeks ago, I got the wrong size shirt
>Threw it all in the fucking fire in my friends and I's yearly bonfire purge where we get rid of shit that angers us over the year (one of my friends burned his copy of RE7 for example)
I have never been more JUSTed by a fucking game. Never kickstarting again.
>mario is what yooka laylee should have been
Y-L was inspired by a completely different kind of platforming than Mario though.
I love how you only see concept art and environments for the promo of this game.
It's like they know that their game is just a pretty empty shell.
When you have to repeat 50 times a day that your game is going to be a classic revival etc...etc.. and have nothing to show for it thats a red herring
Is it worth 9 dollars?
Pirate it if you want to play it, user. Do it for me, please.
The first two levels looked nice but were a slog to play through. Next 3 levels were pretty fun. Final boss was bad. I 100%d the game.
> $9
Where?
>Have PC that blows any fucking game out of the water because I buy all my parts second hand for dirt cheap from my spoiled friend who gets everything by his parents
>Have every console because I'm an idort and don't have any sense of commitment to a console, I just fucking love video games
>Playing my Switch right fucking now
>Despite all of this I'm waiting for the Switch version of Yookah for absolutely no goddamn reason except "well it wouldn't feel right not playing it on Nintendo" despite the last time me playing Banjo or Tooie was on Rare Replay
yeah I know I'm a special kind of retard
before playing hat in time
>pretty enjoyable, 8/10
after playijng hat in time
>holy shit yooka laylee was trash compared to this it was a 5/10 after all
THE PAGIES
IN CAGIES
Your friend burned RE7? What a fag
t. crapcom lover
it's not even close to a mighty no. 9. it was an imperfect flawed game but I enjoyed it a lot.
my biggest concern is that that level design was uninteresting and uncomfortably horizontal. I genuinely feel they were afraid of the levels ending up reminding people of banjo-tooie's clusterfuck sprawling worlds.
He's right. Your "friend" was probably a RE4fag. He deserved it.
I hated RE4 and I hate RE7 too.
Kys, faggot.
>People actually back kick starters
Its like a preorder, but you can't even refund it if it starts looking like shit.
So even WORSE taste than an RE4fag
Wow. I'm impressed.
>wanting to play Yooka-Laylee after Odyssey
>hahaha no matter what he replies I'll say his taste is shit
Just end yourself, faggot.
You mean the characters? I like them a lot-- they're a cool pair and I was sad they got so few animations during cutscenes.
The game was meh.
I know this is bait, but I have t give a (you) anyway, since there were people here who actually deflected all criticism like that
...
More good than bad but didn't live up to hype. If it weren't a kickstarter game I think people would have minded less.
Statue looks neat.
