>even the cheapest DSLR is almost 10x the cost of a new release videogame
>add onto that various prime lenses
>implying your total cost isn't $1000-1500 to even get the most barebones /p/ setup
That jap game where you take pics of upskirts.
It exists, OP, you just never heard of it.
The Dreamcast Cardcaptor Sakura game is just taking pictures of Sakura
>Dark Cloud 2
kek
I have that camera, its great for quick shots on a vacation or given a little more time get some nice snapshots
who /p/ here
Final Fantasy XV.
an entry level with a decent prime is like 400.
exif data?
That counts. Actively taking photos rewards you with in game recipes and items. It's not a photography game but its a part of it
Link one
really love the 22mm, its a great lens
>even the cheapest DSLR is almost 10x the cost of a new release videogame
I've been looking into this a bunch before Christmas hits since my family starts to badger me for gift ideas around Thanksgiving
You can find an new entry level DSLR kit deal from a major brand for around 400 to 500. Canon has more expensive shit from what I've seen, but you can find some fine fucking Nikons in the 400 range. Make sure not to get a fixed lens for 200ish with some fucking enormous zoom and then get confused later along the line when you can't swap lens
...
my dick is huuuuugggeeeee
^yup I played this one in my 500 games cd rom. Pretty much exactly what OP described.
You can snap not Marylin Monroe's upskirt.
>I don't want to save money to buy a cheap used camera and a shitty kit lens so instead I want a game where I can sit on my ass all day "for the experience"
someone stop this scamp!
Not him, but what's wrong with Dark Cloud 2?
I liked how Wind Waker let you take pictures of stuff and have them turned into figurines. I just wish there weren't so many things that you have limited opportunities to take pictures of, or at least that you could carry more pictures at once.
an sl1 with a 40mm or on sale 50mm. sl1 sells for 250 and the 50mm for around 90. These are used prices though. Could also pick up an eos m with 22mm for 350 on ebay. Both have competent sensors that while outdated have usable isos up to 3200 which leaves the limitation of photography on the photographer. if buying new, you could always buy the nikon 3xxx series, anything beyond the 3000 is pretty good although it's mount won't allow you to invest in lenses. Or a used pentax would be a good idea, could probably find those for dirt cheap.
Every MGS has a camera you could take pictures with except MGSV, the one that could have made for the best use of it.
>I KNOW A PIMP WHEN I SEE ONE
>The mission was originally going to be done from a helicopter, which is why CJ and Caesar are screaming at each other the whole time even though they're right next to each other and trying to be sneaky
being a canon fan is worse than being a sonybro
Buy an old Rabal, an SD card, and the cheap 24mm 'pancake' prime lens, and put Magic Lantern on the camera so you can use extra goodies like remoteless hands-free shooting and long exposures on Bulb without holding the shutter. Go nuts.
canon are good systems. almost any camera from any manufacturer past 2010 is pretty decent. plus the poster is buying sigma lenses.
That metal gear panty VN.
new photog here
I want to take qt pics of cosplayers and I have a D90, 35/50mm 1.8, and a cheapo speedlight + trigger.
which portrait photographers can I use as inspiration and what do I read to git gud

would probably be even more boring than generic shooter#12914398
Photokano
I got my DSLR for 300, kit included, which happens to be actually very sharp lens, bought some cheapo russian fifty for 20 and additional long zoom just because I didn't have anything long for 100. Still far away from 1000.
You don't need fuck expensive /p/ setup from the get go. Buy for your needs, I learned that I don't like shooting above 135mm while using my initial setup and also learned that 18mm on crop is not wide enough for my style so I'm planning to buy fisheye now and I might sell my long zoom while at it.
Reporting in.
Gekibo 2 was pretty fun.
Man, I loved this kind of stuff in games since Beyond Good and Evil, even though it's not much different than shooting. I dunno why. At worst photo mechanics provides additional challenge, like in Bioshock. Can you take a photo of an enemy before killing it or is it too risky?
I doesn't have to be. Imaging playing as a war zone photojournalist. Having your photos graded depending on composition, lighting and what people are doing in the shot and specific point of animation. Might be cool. Not sure how hard it would be to make a good grading system though.
>he doesn't know dead rising exists

It'd be perfect.
not so fast big guy
this is my scoop
>tfw buy Canon T3i dslr for $200 with stock 18-55mm lens

I'm really bad at this. Any tips?
wear one of these babies on a lanyard
First step is to post your dog.
I like taking pictures of BAD GRAPHIX
and UNREMARKABLE STUFF
just go outside lol
nobody gives a shit what you do until you point the camera at their kids
take pictures of fans
I can't go to events with my shitty photo skills.
I'm phone posting so I can't post the "good" photos.
>just go outside
I don't know what setting to use, I've been mainly using the no-flash auto. Manual is really hard.
What if I told you there was a famous n64 game about taking pictures of places and subjects using a film camera, and you could even take your game to blockbuster to have your photos printed, and this game happens to be a spin off of the most successful video game series in history?
Mario Paint?
>family buys you 400 droller gifts

Upload album to imgur or something and link it here. Then delete the album when the thread 404s
>I don't know what setting to use, I've been mainly using the no-flash auto. Manual is really hard.
you know ther is this realy cool site where you can type in what your looking for and it gives you links?
jsut fuckign google that shit and learn if, if thats not ur style either trial and error that shit or find someone who will teach you for cash
P for Professional, obviously.
just go out and take pictures of stuff you want to remember if you move away. I always have this mindset while taking pictures. No one is gonna bother you if you dont take pictures of them without asking
buy an old SLR full manual camera with a prime lens second hand, you'll get the hang of it within one camera roll
HELLA
How dead is /p/, picfags?
>no ps1 demo disk eboots
why live, the ps1 demo disks where my fav

enjoy your focus problems
>kit included, which happens to be actually very sharp lens
which lens?
Sony is a big corporation
Sup Forums is an easy target for shills
Sup Forums is 1000x larger than /p/
Sony makes video game consoles and cameras
Sony hired shills to come to Sup Forums
Since they work for sony, they also have to spend a little bit of time shilling other sony products
On /p/, these sony spillover shills have killed the board
Spiderman 2 mang
Is this really what killed /p/?
At least there's photography threads in /out/ right?
...
>ctrl+f Life is strange
>literally 0 results
fuck you nu/v/
i mean there's some decent threads but the gear threads have been killed by shills
Are there cheap digital rangefinders yet? I want something exactly like my Canonet except I don't want to have to buy film off the internet.
It's really just doing it man. People really don't give a shit about it unless you start taking pictures of them, without any permission
pic taken myself when testing my zoom
Like all the Metal Gear Solid games have an in-game camera item
>finding the ghosts in mgs1
Post your shots lads
How do you bring down the file size w/o losing quality?
>4496x3000
Scaling the image down.
Actually, in the case of this supposed bird photo, cropping.
How do I get it to a 16:9 aspect ratio w/ cropping
>16:9
You don't, that's for tv and video games
but wallpapers
You select a 16:9 region of the image and hit the crop button. Any reasonable photo editing software will have a way to constrain your selection to the right shape/size.
what's a reasonable photo editing software
I've been resizing these in Paint3D
igotchufam
that's not 3840x2160 tho
can you do these ants too
I honestly haven't done this stuff in like 10 years and I never really liked doing it digitally anyway. I used photoshop but I'm sure there's something more lightweight and more focused available for a lot less. At the very least I'm pretty sure paint.net can do the cropping to a shape thing.
naw but I made this for some reason
You just have to compromise, desu most people are seeing these on like 4" screens so you don't need enormous resolutions most of the time
Pixlr is a nice, simple and free one
Gravity Rush 2?
Play Infra you pleb
...
pixlr is kinda neat, I've been using gimp but I like yours better
came here to say this. gameplay wise it's meh tho
I dabble

>not using the gb camera aesthetic
I think he's mocking him for being an American (the game is called Dark Chronicle elsewhere)
Also, no one has said Breath of the Wild yet
Afrika, for PS3.
