Yes, and yes. Not amazing or anything, but it's good.

Yes and yes, worth playing

Best girl?

It's short and free so it should by nature be judged lightly, not much investment

I enjoyed it, but I wish it was a bit longer. Sayori a best

we had constant generals up for like a month
you tell me

Monika, duh. She doesn't get a route though, fucking Dan.

PROJECT M LITERALLY DIED FOR THIS

Yes and no
It's a really fun ride but I wouldn't call it a good game or a good VN

Sayori for me

I didn't care for it. The apart from one select instance of messing with the game's files towards the end, the meta elements are pretty weak along with all the "creepypasta" tone twists.

Honestly its best point is the big build-up, but that all goes out the fucking window when all the marketing and discussion tells you exactly what you're in for.

Preferred IMSCARED.

can you already move to /vg/ please
i'm sure you will make friends with katawa shoujo autists over there

She got a route, but you have to delete some fies

>implying we want to associate with those freaks in /ddlc/

Yeah, but he hasn't patched her route in properly yet. You gotta go through this whole work around to get to it, and when you finally get it working it's full of glitches.

How in the fuck could you prefer IMSCARED?
Shit was actually more boring than Doki Doki, and that's a fucking accomplishment.

...

It's cool for the novelty value, but outside of two big moments it's not particularly shocking nor scary. Once the initial surprise wears off and you catch on to what it's doing it becomes pretry predictable.

As a side note I find it incredibly ironic waifufags developed for a game that's designed to make fun of them.

>played
>game
DDLC is borderline a kinetic novel.

>Designed to make fun of them
False

It's really something completely different.

I liked it a lot because I'm mental like yuri is. It felt like I was finally talking to someone who understands me and I
connected with it.

People always seem to talk about the spook when depression is much scarier and way more what the game is about.

It's OKAY for a free game, I don't get all the attention it's getting, it has some meta moments but those were done better in other games before it.

Game went to shit after Sayori killing herself
Not saying her suicide was a bad thing, just that it could have been a really cool VN about 'comforting' some girls about the suicide of their friend

spoopy Katawa Shoujo.

it's boring, just like KS

>People always seem to talk about the spook when depression is much scarier and way more what the game is about.
...is it? I thought the way depression was portrayed at the start is legit pretty good, but it's kind of dropped when they move into video game creepypasta territory.

But that's never what it was going to be.

Novelty value. Oh look, it's messing with your system, nice. There's massive diminishing returns on that.

Yeah, I thought the spooky was the hook to get people to play but it presents itself later than the depression stuff. Idk

I can't speak for anyone else but I personally gave DDLC a read because all I'd heard was that it wasn't quite what it seemed. And it was free.

It's a bittersweet love story hidden behind creepypasta somewhat hidden behind a romance game. The spook isn't really the point of the game at all beyond tricking people into playing it, if anything the literature theme is more important than it.

Played and beat it, my only complaint was that the author laid on PLZ DON'T DELETE MONIKA.CHR wayyy too thickly, to the point where a cool hidden ending became an obvious solution

Wasted potential. Great for what it is, a free game made by just a few people, but not something that will be remembered outside of /vg/ autism.

steam spoils that its a spook game in the news section unfortunately.
also i find it weird that its free, but of course that helped it spread.

was the game idea to explain depression and the inevitable, or was it just a create a spook game?

Pretty sure the idea behind the game was to mess with the player's expectations. I figured it was obvious enough with how cliche the events of the first arc were, leading up to the finale anyway.

That's what I was thinking. It's all Monika talked about.

"dude 4th wall lmao" meme trash

But 5 nights is an actual game user!

Only when you start the game.

ftfy

For me the ending deleting monika's file felt like putting an end of her suffering of living in a world fake to her loving someone who could never be actually with her. Its like 3d boys loving 2d girls but inverse

The problem is, it's pretty clear that you just put her through more suffering.

After deleting monika and the ending i just deleted the game, it gave me the full sensation o putting an end to her suffering

Isn't this game just a much shorter Kimi to Kanojo?

No, but they share similar cliches.

Shit game, can't delete everyone but Natsuki and finish the baking cupcakes 10 year arc
