Thoughts on Skyrim?
Memes aside it's not as aids as some people make out, but it was a let down.
Moreover bethesda needs to stop riding it's dick you can tell they're just doing it to remain relevant because their next game is so far the fuck off.
Melee combat becomes awfully dull after a while, it's so slow and braindead, there's just nothing to it, no mechanics, nothing, which is pretty bad for a game based around just that.
The atmosphere and exploring is really good though, it's a very immersive game with varied and cool environments.
I like it.
Though some flaws like weapon progression(i've got skyforge steel axe very early and it was outdated only on level 33 with ebony axe), radiant quests, vampire attacks that can slaughter half of the citizens and so on can really reduce fun.

It's so hollow you're better off playing the MMO.
Good atmosphere but completely outclassed by what came later
STILL salty about what they did to us poor ps3fags with the dlc
HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
I'm mad that Dawnguard and Dragonborne both suck ass. Did they forget how well received Shivering Isles was?
>STILL salty about what they did to us poor ps3fags with the dlc
what did they do?
i enjoyed fallout the elder vegases
accept with horses
sweet mods
First of all the ps3 version was the most buggy version
secondly, dawnguard was released like half a year later than on the other platforms, didn't care anymore when dragonborn came out but that was bit annoying but similar to what happened to oblivion which released a year later
which released a year later than on the other platforms*
That's Sony's. Every multiplat from every developer was relatively shit on the PS3.
>dragonborn
>bad
lol kid
Main gripe is the game has almost no replay value without mods. You do the few questlines consisting of a handful of quests and then you've about seen it all. Also quest variety is pretty bad and mostly consists of either killing someone or going in a dungeon to retrieve something.
NEVER
it's got nice mods
>Main gripe is the game has almost no replay value without mods.
I put hundreds upon hundreds of hours in before I ever touched mods.
Only good thing is mods.
>outclassed by what came later
What came later?
it getting a vr release means by definintion (after playing resident evil7 it is by definition sorry) that it will be and already is the most immersive rpg yet in all of gaming... simply because of the fact that it is in vr.
I love bethesda for this.
is it more fun to be an archer?
Elder scrolls 6 obviously
Archers are ludicrously overpowered. Especially if you level bound weapons in conjuration and get the bound bow spell. Free weightless double enchanted Daedric bow with arrows? You'll be one shotting dragons.

Yeah pretty much. Make a glass cannon that stealth shots people. Much more fun than the dreadfully boring block->counterhit melee combat.
It's pretty OK, mechanics could use some work since there's not a whole ton of depth to alchemy or enchanting, Ordinator is pretty good for creating a build
>playing beth games on a console
Son, it was just a copy and paste of solstheim to cash in on morrowind nostalgia.
While I have nothing against action games, I wish Skyrim had more stats and other RPG elements, not just 3 resources and a bunch of "+damage/defense/discounts" perks.
These popular "RPG'ing the shit out of Skyrim" mods really don't "fix' this because just try to go to the opposite direction of the game's intended design, so they end up just adding clunky mechanics to the already clunky vanilla RPG features, while action-oriented mods (for both combat and perks) feels more natural and more enjoyable to play with.
It showed just how little the average consumer cares about videogames.
