mainly to piss you off
i have a whole storage unit full of them for just that purpose
because i use them to ride your mom
I bought one because I'm not a poor fuck.
Lack of vagina
i want to know too
>op sitting on a dirt floor because comfort is unecessary
here's my chair my dude
I just stand up and play. Its actually pretty nice.
I actually own one. Not proud of it, but my office chair had that faux/fake leather and it was peeling after six years of use. Newegg had a gaymur chair for 80bucks and with the pillow and back support, it seemed like it was the cheapest buy for a decent chair.
After using chairs at work that cost 1000USD+, I really wasn't impressed and wanted something with that simple stiff back/pillow support.
I regret my decision. The chair sucks. But it was within my budget and I don't think I could have purchased a better one. And as stupid as it sounds, it does keep you sitting with proper position.
They give them to streamers and sponsor tournaments so teenagers see people using and then buy them because they are popular. It's the same reason Beats by Dre headphones are overpriced. You are paying for the brand name and style. It's more of an accessory than a functional tool.
why not just use a rock? rocks are cheaper.
>no lumbar support
>no leaning back
>no adjusting height
>scuffing your wood floors if you are drunk and gaming
>promotes leaning forward which will cause future back pain
They're comfortable and offer support compared to regular office chairs
Someone recommend a good computer chair? It's time I get a new one.
comfy
If you are sitting down for several hours a day you are deteriorating your body regardless of what you are sitting in.
because their favorite e-sport gamer bought them.
the jews know that if someones idol buys something and promotes it then their good little goyim followers will do the same because they think a gaming chair makes you a good player.
This piece of junk destroyed my life.
We all die anyways user, might as well do what you like, or in my case what you hate the least
explain
>tfw i spend most of my life at my pc sitting in a chair but can’t justify spending money on any semi expensive chair
i must be Jewish in a different reality, i hate spending money
>gaming chairs
>gaming mice
>gaming keyboard
>gaming motherboard
>gaming ram
>gaming gpu
>gaming monitor
>gaming mouse pad
>gaming food
>gaming drinks
>gaming flashlights
>not just buying a comfy office chair
Executive chairs are $100, Gaming chairs are $250.

basically 12 year olds now got a job and get tricked into buying flashy shit
same happened with RAZORtm
ALIENWAREtm
welcome to consumerism 101
>gaming fleshlights
Because my last chair if I sat in it for half an hour id lose feeling from the waist down, Literally my bollocks were numb. Aso sever shoulder and neck pains.
Bought one similar wiith the pillows and not had any issue or problems since.
I don't care if theyre meme it sorted out my issues. That and I dont take fucking photos it and show them people
You could probably have a much nicer chair for the same price though, if you bought one that wasn't branded "FOR GAMERZ".
These chairs tend to lack lumbar support and have an extended upper back to support the gamer hunch that so many of their customers are accustomed to.
Normal chairs just don't provide that comfort for a gamers improper posture...
Something this custom and effective must come at a premium of course
The only other one really is the "ikea" chair. I went for one that wasnt too emblazened with labels and was a subtle colour, I like having a headrest.
I suppose I am a bit guilty of getting one but it works and like I say I dont exactly flaunt the fact I have one (bar posting this here)
Personally I think this was the best purchase I made all 2017.
Yeah I'm thinking of dropping $400 on the cheaper Jewdiepie edition Clutch cair. It's cheaper than the others.
However I don't know shit about chairs and don't know what to look for
how much shekels do i have to spend on a chair that doesnt ruins my back
decent build, Some cheap ones are flimsy and break easy. The heavier the chair the better.
Kek dude the chair is cheaper than the other ones and you're retarded for getting mad people make money
I tried this, kept hitting me too deep even if I lightened up on the bouncing
Now it just sits in my closet, unused and unloved
Yeah it sucks looking at all these chairs and some having shit features. For some reason manufacturers don't believe arm rests should be adjustable but it's bullshit
>it falls apart within a week
Racing seats having a purpose in a racecar to prevent the driver from sliding around while turning at high speed. In what universe would the same design also be optimal for sitting still for hours?
A good gaming chair is breathable, highly adjustable and light enough to move around easily.
>Why buy chair with materials that doesn't peel off the surface after two years of use?
>Why buy chair with lumbar/spine/neck support pillows?
>Why buy chair designed for mouse+kb instead of a cheap office chair not actually designed for office work, just marketed that way?
What a mystery.
Anything that will keep good posture while sitting at a computer for hours on end is what I want. I guess the racer ones just look "cool and sleek" enough to market to that demographic.
The lumbar support is what I'm interested in. Keep my back from slouching or hunching over.
>office chair looks like it's taken from a racing car
>PC case has flashing lights on it, looks like it's some ferrari dashboard
>has a window, inside more flashing lights
>RGB flashing mouse and keyboard
>monitor looks like a transformer
what do you call this?
>Lose muscles, something that can be rectified outside of gaming time.
vs.
>Get spinal issues that may never be rectified.
Don't forget the overpriced neon colored headset.
When buying a chair, you're looking for several features.
The first, and most important, is that you are comfortable in whatever position you typically sit in. As an example, I like to kick my feet up and rest my keyboard on my lap, so I need to have a chair that is comfortable in that position. This means extra padding in the front of the seat, additional lumbar padding, and a semi-reclining chair that doesn't recline so far that I'm "laying".
The second feature to look for is adjustability. You want to be able to adjust the seat's height, its pitch (forward/backward tilt), and you want the back to be firm/stable.
After those two things, you're just looking at general comfort settings. Armrests that can be raised/lowered/widened/pitched are nice, but unnecessary.
I'm not a chair salesman. I just sit in a lot of different chairs and have come to realize what is most important. I've had my $300 office chair for almost ten years, and it's still the comfiest thing I've ever sat in.
>How you want your seated PC gaming experience my man?
Just gimmie the most comfortable, adjustable chair that shapes around my back with adjustable lumbar support with proper posture correcting
>Say no more
>£1000 chair
Herman Miller is what I've been looking at since the chair I own right now is killing my back and neck.
Do you have one of those?
It's probably the best chair I've ever sat in to do 8 hours of work at the desk.
For relaxing and laying back in though? There are probably better chairs to watch in a movie in, but for sitting up straight to type/work/play PC games, I cannot think of a better chair.
becouse it was made for fatfucks that plays videogames all day.
it was created to have a good posture while sitting.
But later on it was made just for "le pc gamer master race" meme , where kids just wanted it becouse X youtuber has it.
and they created those chairs to look good and not to help you body while sitting
There's a cheaper substitute called ergohuman that feel very similar.
Just bought one of these, did I do good Sup Forums?
Thanks for the info.
Why do these look so ugly, flimsy, cheap, and plasticy, like they're made by Fisher Price? Why would anyone over the age of 14 want to sit on something like this and make themselves look like literal manchildren?
You can get a used Aeron on craigslist for the same price as a dxracer.
Only downside is they don't have a headrest, though you can buy them but they're like ~150 USD.
>He doesn't own a gaming chair
Just look at good regular office chairs, they are even more expensive. Gaming chairs are basically the budget choice.
They make you good at videogames or make you better
of course you wouldnt understand as a poorfag shitter ;)
Yes
He will be your faithful companion for years to come.
>overpriced
Okay.
They give me some alternative to those shitty cheap chairs with that awful fake leather that isn't overpriced
I don't know, but check this 5
I use a chair I took from work because we had extra. Got it for free, plenty comfy.
Meanwhile I have a friend that owns OP's pic and paid full price for it because "it's really fuckin comfortable dude"
Yes mesh chairs are the masterrace.
Leather/pleather chairs like mine look like shit when they start ripping after a year of use of like mine here.
Oh well it was only like 50 bucks at office depot.
Herman Miller is the company that bought all the other office furniture companies, lowered the quality of ALL of them, removed features from all of them permanently, raised their prices to TRIPLE and sometimes TEN TIMES, and did all this over the course of the last 10 years.
This is why you can't find any cheap office chairs, or even any decent quality ones.
You should be looking for the following features in a chair:
-Actual upholstery. Fake leather just rips, makes you sweat, and is cheap trash. Thin hole garbage is marketed as "breathable" but really it's just cheap trash that rips easily. Get a chair with actual fabric
-Adjustable arms. If you can raise and lower the arms, you'll be stuck with whatever fucky alien-arm design they think your mongoloid body conforms to. Good luck getting it under the desk when you need to get closer. It'll promote ass-tastical posture. +Horizontal adjustments for bonus comfy.
-Roller-blade casters. Every other type is a waste of material, you may as well not even have wheels. They'll just get caught on things, especially cables. Roller blade wheels can move over anything, don't tangle cables, and don't crack. They're made of high grade rubber and steel.
-Avoid memeshapes. Nothing ergonomic and thin can replace an actual chair shape. Bonus points for bucket shape.
Good luck fucker. All the other parts need to be decent quality too but I doubt you'll even find one chair with all the above features. In 2 years, I haven't found a single one, not even at the $2000 price range. You HAVE to build your own chair from parts.
I just want a char that allows me to play vidya AND play guitar
Why are all gaming chairs so tacky looking? in fact, why does all "GAMING GEAR" looks so edgy and tacky?
It hides the ass quality. The chair you posted is $250 but has cheap fake leather, cheap brittle plastic arms, cheap plastic casters, a cheap plastic base, and a poorly made gas chamber.
But hey, it looks like a cool racing seat with blue stripes!
then give some examples of how a good chair looks like and how much does it cost
AK Octane circa 2006 before the buyout.
Omni-adjustable rubberized arms.
Cloth upholstery with bucket shape and good thickness.
Safe and reliable gas cylinder
Metal chair base
Rollerblade casters
Steel connector between back and bottom seat
Cost: $100
AK Octane after the buyout removes basically all of these. And increased the price by 75%.
It sucks that they're so expensive but the Herman Miller Aeron is still the best I've ever used, much better than anything using fabric/cushion and I've had some more expensive ones of that type.
If the cushion is thin then it's usually too hard to sit on, or gets to be too hard after a while when it loses its shape. If it's thicker it might not lose its shape, but then it'll be too springy and unstable to sit on, the Aeron is just right.
Bought this one used very fucking good can be found on ebay for 300€.
>he buys an overpriced "office" chair
lmao, just get a regular fucking chair dude
I have a gaming grandma armchair, it looks like your grandma's armchair but with led illuminated razer logos.
I was looking for a regular office chair but a "gaming" chair was cheaper.
>buying a 300€ chair
I have one, phenomenal chair- but worth $1500??? I wouldn't say so.
I also agree with the other user who posted that it's not a relax chair, just a insanely comfortable work chair.
dang, I've just been using a regular ass grandma armchair
I have this chair, you mad?
shit, wrong pic
>tesla
Are rollerblade casters better on carpet?
Significantly. They're better on all surfaces even with cables running everywhere.
JUST
Hey actually I found what became of the old Octane design:
akracing.com
>Fabric
>Wide (like the old Octane)
>Metal base
>Omni-adjust arms
>Metal frame
>Foam interior
All it's missing are rollerblade casters ($16 on Amazon) and the decent price.
These chairs are overpriced yes, but only because they use shitty materials.
A well designed chair that doesn't kill your back can easily cost over 500 and this is the standard that most corporate offices go by. (Note that corporations tend to spend as little as possible on their employees and this is still the standard, if you work at a corporation with shitty 40 dollar chairs the you work for someone who cares even less about you then most soulless fortune five hundred companies.)
>bought one because I wanted on with removable arm rests for flight simming
It was fucking trash. There's nothing special about them, just shit made in china. The back rest are flat as boards, the lumbar and neck cushions are over stuffed, don't fit any human form and are very uncomfortable, the seat cushion was too hard. I requested a refund the same day I got it.
Because generic office chairs are 10x worse and fall apart in a year maybe two.
I'd rather spend an extra 150 and get a chair that's not necessarily the best, but offers good support and longevity.
>bought myself a gaming chair
>suddenly everyday there is a gaming chair thread
Bro i got the same fucking chair!
The biggest attraction?
REAL FUCKING WHEELS
I fucked up man. When I moved, I had no space in the room so I had to dumpster my perfect condition 10 year old chair. I've been regretting it ever since and trying to spread the gospel.
Addendum: If I could buy this chair again, it would be the only chair I'd ever buy.
are you serious?
my cousin loaned the chair because he was moving to jersey and i kept this shit and never gave it back
theres probably some guy out there SITING IN YOUR THRONE AND YOU ALLOWED IT
fucking cuck
A boat cushion is obligatory for all computer chairs
>tile floor
not comfy
just get some slippers nigga
Yo real talk. I need a chair. I got this horrible one that doesn't lean back and stiff as a board.
Recommendations? I have a budget of $150
Should have bought the pewdiepie limited edition chair for only 399
I bought one because I'm a lanklet and it's nice to have a chair that fully supports my long back/legs.
I just use a knee chair. But I use an old lazy boy I have since 06 for way longer gameplay sessions.
