His handheld game system doesn't have a dpad

>his handheld game system doesn't have a dpad
Shiggy diggy

Too big.

>Switch battery doesn't at least last 10 hrs
Shit famalam

>2017
>good battery life
We live in dark times.

>Translucent plastic

Ah yes the callsign of autistic manchildren worldwide

When are you away from an outlet for 10 hours?

Plans and busses have outlets even.

Only time is when you go camping, and you can bring a an external battery with USB-C PD for that.

Shit has the same battery life as the launch 3DS, people lived through that fine.

How is it too big? It's smaller than Vita

>Defending Nintendo
Oh wow.

>reddit spacing
>defending nintendo
i hope you're getting paid for this shit.
you have to go back.

like come on
I love my Switch too but there are more cons than pros for it

The launch 3DS was rightly shouted down for its shit battery every fucking day.
Saying it's the same as that is saying it's the same as eating shit with your eyes.

>transparent casing
that's like ordering a burger without the bun

Nigga are you literally deciphering and criticizing the SPACING on a post?

The fuck levels of autism do you need to memorize the spacing habits of a website. Fix your life man.

>Buzzwords

What device does last 10 hours playing games? Not even phones or tablets last this long just watching videos.

iPad Pro

They really need to just make another joycon for the left side that replaces the joystick for a d pad. I mean this is nintendo we're talking about they love upcharging accessories it's like one of their main games.

Cucks are still obsessed with the DS Lite tier battery life of 17 hours.

You can only get that kind of battery life on toasters or with a hulking and heavy battery.

No it doesn't.

on here, all you are is your post.
everything about your post is trash.
that's why you have to go back.

It gets 10+ hours of movies, not games.

You can get 5-6 hours of games with lowered backlight.

17 hours is not going to happen these days. Mobile CPUs and screens are outpacing battery tech. But it would be nice to go ona trip without having to ration my use.

>defending shit battery life

Suck cock, faggot.

Nothing, because companies would rather sell battery banks than invest in better battery technology.

I miss the days when EGM review the GBA and tested different AA batteries on it and blasted Duracell for getting 'only' 12 1/2 hours of gameplay.

Where'd you find those controllers?

Battery technology hasn’t actually progressed much at all in the last decade.

>Make obtuse point
>Point is disputed with perfect logic
>"B-but it's Nintendo!"

How difficult, OP? I’m getting these soon but I’ve never done hardware mods before.

My phone does

If it can that cost your mom £1,000,000

It's not the same. When I have to charge my DS while playing, I'm forced to sit near an outlet and have a cord attached. When I have to charge my Switch while playing, I just go dock it and can chill on the couch or bed using the wireless remotes. The only time you can't do that is when you run down the battery of both the tablet and remotes by playing undocked with the remotes removed, which you probably aren't going to do for several hours at a time since that control scheme is meant for multiplayer.

Battery is the one fucking thing holding the whole tech industry back

Please do something about that, Mr. Tesla

We have coils now that can be charged pretty much indefinitely. Wont be long till they remove the whole "muh battery" not holding a charge issue from phones.

As someone that works with industrial-grade batteries, I can tell you this is completely false. Commercially viable consumer-grade batteries, however, haven't improved much in the past decade. Needing to constantly be made smaller and rugged enough to withstand being dropped all the time is what holds back consumer batteries. Batteries that are more delicate and/or volatile have made leaps and bounds in recent years.

It isn't, is the pursuit of a paper thin device that sacrifices battery area. If the battery could be just a few mm thicker it could handle about +1 hour.

So could a phone theoretically just have a charged coil inside it and use that charge forever? I'm not an electrical engineer so I don't know how that would work.

The biggest issue is stability, Lithium Sulfur is likely the next successor and about 300% better in terms of capacity

It (currently) has a shorter lifespan and expires faster while being less stable though.

It'll get there eventually.

Why would you want to see a pcb? that looks like shit...

What kind of trip though? I travel internationally a lot and unless you visit third world countries you can pretty much charge devices everywhere while on the move. Car/Coaches/Train/Plane? Can charge. Likewise for Train Stations/Airports.

Only mean of transportation used for a short time (

takes a few hours
>no OP, did it for a friend. The controllers were the biggest little bitches. The main case was easier.

I don't wanna be tethered to the wall if I wanna use my device as my main source of entertainment for the day. I wanna use it til I'm done with it, throw it on the charger at night, wake up, and use it again. Fuck you and your point.

Frog off back to Ribbit.

psp with modded lithium battery

No, but the coil wont burn out charging the battery because the new ones they've developed can take something close to 250,000 charges.

>Why would you want to see a pcb? that looks like shit...
You can't see the mainboard anyway since it is shielded in a metal frame
>that's like ordering a burger without the bun
Not OP but I got a transparent case. Their purpose isn't to be used as transparent, they are for applying your own paint/dyes. You give them a once over with a fine grit sandpaper then apply primer and whatever paint you want after that. Comes out looking eggcellent

Get a DS Lite then, 3-5 hours is plenty for the average person.

Only way to get the battery life you want is by literally increasing its weight 50% and price by $50-75.

Quality large batteries are expensive, almost as expensive as the Tegra SoC.

>this many comments of people hating on CLEAR console cases
God i hate underage kids. I miss these.
You fags are the reason we dont get colored consoles often anymore. remember all those nice nintendo 64 variants?

But at this point, why even have a battery? Why not just "equalize" the output of the coil so that the phone's circuitry could use it directly? Like with a mini transformer, that would be pretty cool

>not modding your switch the right way

Grow up you stupid cuck

While playing games not for sure

>Grow up
>In a board dedicated to videogames and talking specifically about nintendo
???

That's the thing. I don't want to have to take a charger and think about my next power outlet.

joycons

can you actually use the power adapter if you wanna play at home in handheld mode or does the cable stick out like a sore thumb?

Plug it in!
>portability being the only pro

Yeah you can use any usb c cable to charge it while you play.

The switch needs an oled screen and a bigger battery and then it will be true kino.

>Triggered by punctuation

This is a very sad low, which we have come to expect from a petty Sonyqueer.

Get a life

come on man. I like nintendo but say it with me.
Redditors are absolutely not welcome here.

>burn in and pentile
no thanks

>I love it but I hate it

Why are Sonyqueers so bad at false flagging?

laptops dont even get 10 hrs battery brainlet.

where did you get that housing?
How hard was it to replace the front?

You know their posting style?
That means your one to. gtfo leddit cancer.

You are literally triggered by punctuation.

I don't give a damn what website you frequent, if you purposely act stupid over some foolish Internet rivalry, you're a moron, plain and simple.

ugly desu
>tfw no all black switch

Mah nigga

>the white lines aren't centered properly

good post.

how do you buy someone a Sup Forums pass?

>Left joycon with a d-pad
how?

>Etika represents every switch owner
How does that feel?

Wow good thing it comes with an AC charger, huh?

If I'm playing a video game for more than 2-3 hrs at a time, chances are I'm at home

AND that's the whole point of usbc, doofus... no point in screaming like a child because you lost an argument

We still got it on the pro, pretty much. Im sure Nintendo will find a way to make money off of this

These niggas are both right.
Battery tech has not increased in capacity as much as CPUs and screens. But who the fuck wouldn't sacrifice a couple of mm for some extra juice?

You can love something but admit it's got issues.
Game lineup isn't where we'd like it to be.
Expensive.
Expensive peripherals.
Small storage.
Graphics closer to 2005 than 2017.
Expensive games.
And we're not even at the first Christmas and we're seeing physical cartridges that need additional downloads so big that you have to expand the internal storage.

So yeah, it's got some games that will be remembered forever but god damn it's got some downsides.
