Your info is outdated. Official data at September 30th give the Switch version at 4.70 million and the Wii U version at 1.10, so the game is currently up to 5.80 (probably around 6 now). The only games in the series with higher sales are the first gamw at 6.51, Ocarina of Time at 7.60, and Twilight Princess at 8.58 (Wii+GC). However, Breath of the Wild is selling much faster than TP and will thus overtake it soon, not to mention those TP sales include the Nintendo Selects budget rerelease on Wii which account for over a million.

I think that might happen as early as the Switch's one-year anniversary. Zelda will sell a ton this holiday if people pick it up with the system alongside Odyssey.
