If you're into Japanese aesthetics/mythology, that is reason enough to buy the game. It has excellent music, a nice touching story full of Japanese mythology, fun gameplay and is true visual candy even today.

I think it deserves to die on PC natively at least.

PS3 emulation recently got good enough to run it, and PS2/Wii emulation were always there. But that's exactly it, it's all emulation.

Any ports other than PC, like future consoles, would definitely be cash grabs.

They are probably playing it safe and telling you need more than is actually required

Great Japanese-flavoured visuals and music, set in a Japanese mythology-flavoured setting. Lots of good characters, a solid story, good gameplay, and satisfying exploration.
Unfortunately the entire game is very significantly dragged down by it having worse hand-holding than Zelda ever has, and the accompanying tutorialising character never shuts the fuck up and lets you do a single thing yourself even through the final dungeon. At the same time it's also like Skyward Sword in that every time you interact with anything you need to sit through a 20 second cutscene showing you what it affected.
